Hello kindly help out on where one can report substandard furniture in Lagos and get releive.

Last Month...August, I decided to change my sitting room furniture...the set of chairs...i gave out the old ones and went to a furniture outfit in my neighborhood to buy a set of 7 seaters at 215k only for the foams to start compressing within 2 weeks...i went to complain but the manager wasn't around and I collected his phone number. when i called, he said i should continue to use it that they will come and change the foam after i have used it for about 6 months.... that was about 3 weeks ago...fast forward to yesterday, i discovered that sitting on the double seater, you can feel the wood frame with your buttocks and i have to start re-adjusting myself or have to shift away to the other half.

Now, what happened is that i have been calling him since yesterday but has refused to pick my call...apparently, he has my number saved already and he purposely ignored my calls....i have done a video recording of the depressions and sent to him and complain but he has refused to respond even after reading my messages.

I need help regarding the next step to take to either get him to replace the sets or return my money.

Lagos state has a consumer protection agency and the Federal government also has same. If you are in Lagos, you can write a petition to their consumer protection agency. You firstly need to make a formal complaints to the furniture seller, where he does not make amends then you proceed

The same thing happened to me. Last year, we got 7 seater chairs from a furniture outfit here in PH. The foams started to compress in less than 2 weeks. After complaining on several times, yet it wasn't changed. This year, we went back to the same furniture outfit and got a 4 seater dinning set. The girl said they were imported and should last better. Few days later, we found out the dining chairs are very substandard. I don't even know what to say.

My money 60k deposit for chairs is still with a furniture since 2012 and since the day he collected the money, he left the shop till today, he's nowhere to be found

When I thought about this your option, then I remembered my 60k... That was what led me to patronize the shops with ready-made but again, dissapointed.
