The future of warfare is not drones, the future of warfare cannot be a platform but rather a system. In our age it is AI enhanced electronic/spectrum warfare with space being the high ground. Sending the enemy back to the 1940's while maintaining your advantage will win you the war against a peer adversary. Very early on in a major peer war, kinetic kill missiles will take out all near earth satellites leaving deep space units. Submarines will cut ALL enemy deep sea optical fibre cables. The airwaves will be saturated with hostile electronic broadcast. Drones will be taken out by hacking, disorientation, disruption of communication with base station using active EW; or Passive radar which will pick up its communication and vector SAM batteries, fighter aircraft or ground infantry with a shoulder mounted SAM to the target drone. EMP weapons will be everywhere. Drones will find it hard to survive such hostile EM environments unless closely followed by an aerial support unit with ISTAR,SIGINT. However, such units will be subject to being hit by long range AA missiles.

Tell me how you can fight against such. Drones have totally disorganized the armenians and the separatist defense forces. If Armenia is begging for a cease fire is partly due to this. Drone help your artillery to be precise, they also do the job which cost less than using aircrafts.

If you don't know, ask the Iranians how they hacked and landed a U.S. sentinel drone intact. Just because the Armenians lack the capacity does not mean it is not possible. It's like bokoharam saying it's impossible to defeat an alpha jet.

don't mind them, why did the Turkish drone all of a sudden disappeared from the Syrian and Libyan airspace.
Russia has the capacity to deal with those menace but Armenia ain't loyal so they gotta pay with blood.

Okay. I was looking at Aradu in the pic, and it seems like her missiles were replaced.

If you look well, you may notice the missile launchers are differenf from the former launchers. I need to investigate more, that is the reason I wanted the video.

There are multiple images of Aradu you can use to compare available online.

However from the most recent reports, Aradu has lost her fighting capability and would only enter back to service as an OPV.

We should look at purchasing a minimum of 3 new ships, a frigate and 2 corvettes. A couple missile boats too.

Aradu would now operate as an OPV just because its engines, transmission and control systems are now obsolete by modern standards. But they still work but are older systems.

That does not mean the ship cannot fire missiles. The downgrading to OPV means that the Aradu is not expected to sail far and wide across the oceans due to old engines & systems.

But it can still fire ...

There is an order for 2 new frigates. Smaller sized frigates but very modern. Fully armed.

I think those are new missile launchers. They clearly look smaller and modern. I am not sure but I will keep my eyes on new pics of Aradu till I find clearly marked differences between the new and old launchers.

Note also that the Ottomat, Aspide, depth charges, Exocets, torpedoes were all destroyed about 5 years back. They were old and beyond serviceability, hence the need the destroy them.

If they were destroyed, then the navy would need to change the launchers on the Aradu to its newest missiles, torpedoes, etc.

They are the same thing.

These ones you posted are larger with sharp edges. The newer ones are smaller and compact with curved edges. Modern looks.

But lets be patient and keep our eyes for more pics of the Aradu. Hopefully, we would find differential evidence.

The NN had destroyed all Ottomat missiles, they would not still be on the Aradu.

...but how sure are you about this?

The navy are renowned to be very transparent about their acquisition process, even sometimes down to a pin!

We know(knew), about the LST, the hydrological vessel, SDBIII, refitting our missile boats, RHIBs, it seems rather strange the NN would purchase 2 FRIGATES!!!..and nobody hears about it, or are we getting them from N.Korea?

I agree with you about NN transparent procurement, but we are now seeing possibly new missiles on the Aradu. Open transparent procurement didn't tell us that.

I am 100% sure bro. It is called the 'future nigerian frigates' project. Few people here know about it but they are not loudmouths. They keep mute.

They have been ordered, not delivered. So, lets keep an open mind about the specs. We would know when the ships arrive..

I don't believe the Nigerian navy is getting any new frigates. The Navy & Air Force usually release statements, multiple statements on procurement plans.

2 Frigates is a big ticket purchase, and cannot be hidden. If Nigeria was getting 2 new frigates we would know about it.

We know from Thisday newspapers that Nigeria is getting a new Offshore Patrol Vessel.

Perhaps the biggest clue that Nigerian navy is not getting any new frigates is simply because our budget cannot afford it.

The Nigerian navy is getting 1 AW-139 helicopter, 1 hydrographic ship, 1 LST, 1 OPV, 1 SDB, 2 x 40 meters vessels and 2 x logistics barges.

How can we afford 2 Frigates giving our current budget with the above purchase?............ It's simply not possible.
