The Idol/object in question was confiscated, according to your story, by the catholic diocese, without consequence. The spirit of the idol did absolutely nothing. But then the idol was stolen by this "mad-man", and suddenly here you are in an uproar, crying out that there will be consequences, really? undecided undecided

Who said there was absolutely nothing? Didn't you hear what he said? His community is suffering. But instead of righting the wrongs he is making his situation worse Don't you see we have been doing everything wrong since independence. And this is visible where the maximum damage being done to this nation is by the very 2 foreign religions responsible for this situation in the first place!

Sigh! You keep making statements about how he is making his situation worse by his actions, but again, I ask, how do you know this for sure. Have you infact tried destroying the same object in the past for you to make these claims of yours?

Wait, is this mad-man doing what is doing here in the name of any of the religions you mention? After all you said he did say he stole the object from the catholic church, so he could destroy it for himself, or is that wrong?

How do I know this for sure?

Do you ask christians how do they know for sure that jesus is the son of god?
Or how do muslims know for sure that the qur'an is the word of god?

I know based on my beliefs and certain conclusions i have drawn from historical events and their consequences and after effects that we see in modern times around us even today. This is a long topic as it is not just isolated to Nigeria.

But I know this for sure. You can take it as my belief.

The mad man in question is doing what he has been thought by his church fathers. He has been brainwashed into believing that tampering with the idol will end his sufferings. The catholic church in question believes the same too. They have however, this time, thankfully placed all confiscated objects in some sort of a museum within the church.

I happen to be a follower of Jesus Christ and I know from what He himself has showed me that He is who He say He is. What I know of Him is not simply based on a belief... It is a KNOWING that is beyond mere belief.

Not sure!

And would the fact that this object 'made no noise' all the while it was being held captive by the catholic church, pass as historical evidence against your claim?

Wait a second... you said he stole the idol in question. So obviously he is not in league with the Catholic church here. He is simply doing what he believes he must, is that not the case?

Also, if you go to the vatican, it is filled with similar objects confiscated over the last 1700 years. And according to you, there are many other objects that have been in the possession of the catholic church for quite sometime now. So why not go after the church instead? undecided undecided
