I have searched the entire scriptures where Christ (Yahushua) promised material possession or preached prosperity gospel, I found none.
I also searched the entire scriptures where Satan promised material possession and preached prosperity gospel, I found Mathew 4:8-9.

1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.

With all that you have quoted, why do Christians still hold the believe that Jesus is God?
Can he be the son of the same God you are claiming him to be?
Be guided!

Insulting the devil is scriptural

Jn 8:44

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies he is a liar and the father of lies
How is this an insult? Is the devil not a liar and a murderer?

Insulting is not scriptural. Jesus was not insulting him but stating the facts. Insulting is demeaning or degrading a being below the truth. For example, calling the devil stupid. He is not stupid but crafty. He is ordinarily wiser than a carnal man but the truth of God will prevail over his lies.

Your Jesus that couldn't save himself will save me? Are you normal at all?
...Father father WHY HAVE THOU FORSAKEN ME cry

He did it for my sake and yours. We all fell short of the glory of God and were condemned to destruction but he paid (took) the price (punishment) to save (redeem) us because God still loves us but will not lower His holy and righteous standard to accommodate sin.
We become saved from the wrath to come (1 Thess. 1:10) when we acknowledge, confess and accept His offer of salvation. (John 3:16, Rom. 10:8-13)

"But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man." - Hebrews 2:9

Death is a separation of the spirit from the body. Spiritual death is separation (estrangement) from God. This offer of salvation is still open to you.

God was tested by his creation(satan) to give him something(world) inconsequential to him.

It's like someone testing you with #5 to do what you despise the most and then you later come out to say you've done something great.

If Jesus was God what is the significance of this test when obviously God cannot be tested talkless of being defeated in test.
Exactly!
Even Jesus says “no one has ever seen God”, recorded in John 1:8, yet many people saw Jesus when he was on earth.
“The father sent me”, that was Jesus word in John 20:21. Jesus is an obedient son to Jehovah, unlike Satan (which is also one of God's son/creation)

Why do (most) Christians find it easier to accept and make noise about Jesus being their savior rather than follow his teachings?

Jesus' body language towards materialism as painted in the Bible is too obvious to be misunderstood. Same with his messages.

I have read about sages and awakened Ones; they all have the same attitude toward material attachment and possession of it.

I don't even know who to blame; the preachers or the believers. Religions in my opinion should be a medium of awakening not another platform to pursue what's not wealth.

Christ didn't found the religion we call christianity today, it was formed by Emperor Constantine at the council of Nicea in AD 325 and that was why what we see in Christianity today is far away from what's in the new testament scriptures which should be Christian manual.

Religion has always been a weapon of control. Read Mathew 23 to see what Yahushua said to religious leaders. Also check out John 8:31-59

Read them using NIV or NLT.

Matthew 16:24
Then Yahushua said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

Matthew 19:21
Yahushua answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Mathew 19:27-29
27 Peter answered him, “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?”
28 Yahushua said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife[e] or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.

Jesus is not the son of God
Re: 5 Life Lessons To Learn From The Temptation Of Jesus Christ by KNOWMORE56: 5:20pm On Oct 04, 2020
JourneytoEL:
1. Praying and fasting does not chase away the devil.

Jesus fasted for 40 days and immediately after the devil appeared. Don't be surprised if you fast for 3days and those around you all of a sudden begin to annoy you. It is a trap. Don't insult or get angry at them.

2. It is the knowledge of The Word of God and its due application that chases away the devil and evil spirits. The devil also knows the bible.

The bible says my people perish for lack of knowledge. Not every thought or person quoting the bible is from God. Every Christian needs to read and study his Bible to be able to discern the true voice of God.
After Jesus fasted, the devil appeared and suggested he changes stone to bread to eat. Jesus was hungry but refused to do so because he understands that nothing good especially an advise can come from the devil. If you praying and fasting for financial blessings and your company is owing you 3months, the next day you go to work you can hear something like this through your colleagues.
Evil: Guy, come and join us oo. This is how we have by surviving by defrauding our company. We steal some goods or diesel and remove them from the accounts and sell them. See how wicked our oga is, 3months how he has not paid us. Better shine your eyes wella wells. This one no be brother brother matter. Na where you dey work, you go dey chop. Besides, your God is an all forgiving God. He will forgive you.
True Christian: The bible thou shall not steal. It is against the character of a heaven bound Christian to steal. I will rather wait on the Lord and be an accountable man like Joseph.
Or, you are a woman and God has called you to start a deliverance ministry, the next thing you hear is,
Evil: but the bible says women shouldn't speak or have authority over men in church. Don't answer your call it is against the will of God.
True Christian: the bible says in Gal 3:28,
There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Learn to discern the true will of God and
use it as your weapon.

3. Jesus did not insult the devil. Stop underestimating the devil.

During his encounter with the devil, there was no time that Jesus insulted him by calling him mumu, ode, goat etc. It is the legal right of the devil and his demons to hover around the earth looking for souls to lead to sin till the last day (Job 1:7) when they will be put in the abyss. Proverbs 26:2 says, no causeless curse shall stand. They are here because of the fall of Adam. Don't be deceived into insulting them because the bible says in Jude 1:9-10, But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”
Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct—as irrational animals do—will destroy them.

Eph 4:29 says, Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

Please stop insulting the devil and his minions. It is sinful.
Imagine how tricky Yahoo boys are, then imagine how tricky the devil who is the father of lies is. He has been around for many generations and has seen different civilisations. He knows the shining things that are dear to the heart of man and will forever use it to destroy him. The only power we have is our authority in the blood of Jesus. Hence, seek first the kingdom of God.

4. The devil is a counterfeit. He can give seeming riches and power.

When Adam sinned, he gave the devil the key to torment and own the earth. The devil has his people in positions of power and great wealth because with his experience, he knows that this is what men like. Since God gives power and money, the devil too gives his counterfeit version of power and money. Don't be surprised when you see a young man who sings in the choir, all of a sudden sings a worldly song that has no content, yet he will blow, become rich and popular. Don't be surprised to see a politician who has placed his state in the bondage of poverty by not paying salaries win a second term. Don't be surprised when you see a young church boy, turn to a Yahoo boy and becomes popular and very rich. Don't be surprised when a pastor goes to seek marine powers, perform more miracles, become rich and famous. The devil has counterfeit anointing, power, money. But, watch their end. They always end up taking drugs and smoking, losing most of their family members to death, losing their fame and money after 7years, become depressed or die untimely.

5. Don't give the devil a chance. Be vocal and say Get behind me satan.

Most people think the devil will always tempt you will disaster and sickness. In his experience, he has learnt to tempt with your most pressing need. If you need a husband, he will come with a man who will demand fornication. If you need money, he will come with yahoo, rituals or crime. If you make up your mind to stop masturbating, he will come through the film or music video you are watching. The devil tried Jesus 3 times, but please ensure the highest he does to you is one, then shout get behind me satan. Then loose with faith the Angels to come guard and protect you. Loose the protective hedges of the fire of God all round.

Feel free to share other lessons you learnt through the temptation of Christ.

Another thing I learned from the temptation is that eating play a big role in obedience to God.

The devil came to Eve and talked about eating something.

He came to Jesus and the 1st thing is eating.

How many people have disobeyed God because of hungers...

You're only making reference from a mere storybook written by people that sold those nonsense beliefs to you...
I DON'T BELIEVE IN THAT STORY BOOK!

As for the wailing and father father...cry,
That's what pain causes.
It gets you disoriented
It puts you down on your knees to start begging for mercies or praying for a saviour to come your way.
That Jesus was only human and never a god... Don't be a human worshipper. You're not smarter than the Jews.
There's no way that European slavers who came to:
Steal
Kill
Destroy
Rape
Kidnap etc
Would have come on the same ships with so-called men of god with good news from almighty God... It's only a trick to subdue the people they've come to evoke havocs on.

Duh!
JourneytoEL:
2. It is the knowledge of The Word of God and its due application that chases away the devil and evil spirits. The devil also knows the bible.
Unfortunately, this is also not true. Being able to quote the Bible from beginning to end will never keep the devil at bay! Not according to Jesus Christ. The only way to resist the devil is to grow in Jesus Christ and that can only happen through obedience.
JourneytoEL:
3. Jesus did not insult the devil. Stop underestimating the devil.
Insulting the devil? You mean Satan? The very word of God is against that ofcourse. Man has no power to rebuke Satan... and Yes, Jude the apostle warned against this.
JourneytoEL:
4. The devil is a counterfeit. He can give seeming riches and power.
Counterfeit?
JourneytoEL:

Singing worldly songs, being in poverty has nothing to do with Satan. God created even those songs you choose to call worldly songs. And there is no commandment that deems the singing of "worldly songs" a sin. Remember, do not add or remove from the commandments of God.
JourneytoEL:
5. Don't give the devil a chance. Be vocal and say Get behind me satan.
You can scream from today to the morrow against the devil and you will continue to struggle with the same sins you were before you started. Everyone likes to say things like "resist the devil and he will flee" but how many of you have ever sat back and asked exactly how does one go about resisting the devil? What does it really mean to resist the devil?

What do you believe in then?
That book is not just an ordinary book or a story book. It details also an history of God's dealing with man thousands of years ago. It was not written by the slave masters but compiled years before they even existed.

Jesus was God manifested in flesh for the purpose of redemption. Jesus is still alive and there are testimonies about Him from several people. I am one of them.
He will reveal Himself to whosoever is humble and does the will of God. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.

For many who were martyred or are willing to die for Him, it is because they have come to know Him as the Truth. They know (have experienced) His love, glory and power.

The natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned - Scriptures

I believe in Him also because I have experienced Him for myself. He is alive!

If there were bad eggs as slave masters among those who brought the Gospel to us, does it mean they were all bad? If some persons in a particular tribe or region are terrorists, does it mean every person in that tribe or region is a terrorist?

Jesus Christ is real. He is alive and He is coming back again in this present generation for those who are ready for Him.

Lol!
All these nonsense epistles just to prove a point you know absolutely NOTHING about.
You don't have any prove aside " the Bible says".
A book filled so many errors, inconsistencies and contradictions.
Muhammad said blablabla
Buddha said blablabla etc
Didn't your Jesus also said:

1. Matthew 24:36
No one knows about that day or hour, not even the Son, but the Father only.
Here Jesus makes a distinction between what he knows and what the Father knows.

2. Matthew 26:39
My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me, yet not as I will, but as Thou will.
Jesus’ will is likewise autonomous from God’s Will. Jesus is seeking acquiescence to God’s will.

3. John 5:26
For as the Father has life in Himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself.
Jesus received his life from God. God received his life from no one. He is eternally self-existent.

4. John 5:30
By myself, I can do nothing: I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who has sent me.
Jesus says, “by myself, I can do nothing.” This indicates that Jesus is relying upon his own relationship with God. He is not trying to “please myself” but rather is seeking to “please the one who sent me.”

5. John 5:19
The Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees the Father doing, because whatever the Father does, the Son does also.
Jesus declares that he is following a pattern laid down by God. He is expressing obedience to God.

6. Mark 10:18
Why do you call me good? No one is good, except God alone.
Here Jesus emphatically makes a distinction between himself and God.

7. John 14:28
The Father is greater than I.
This is another strong statement that makes a distinction between Jesus and God.

8. Matthew 6:9
Our Father, which art in Heaven.
He didn’t pray, Our Father, which art standing right here!”

9. Matthew 27:46
My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Inconceivable if he is God the Creator.

He was a good teacher and a theologian...
He lives in a time when the Roman empire was oppressing his people...
He wanted to free and liberate his people...

PLEASE OPEN YOUR BRAIN!
CONCENTRATE!

Humans can trace their existence (homo sapien) down to 300,000 years ago...
Yet, one story-book written be ignorant old folk out of delirious obsession will tell you that ADAM AND EVE were created about six thousand years ago.

The book also want you to believe that someone died for the sins you never committed

THE ORIGIN:
CREATED By early theologians...

Jesus, a Jew man... Who lived about 2000 years ago...
He was a good teacher and a theologian...
He lives in a time when the Roman empire was oppressing his people...
He wanted to free and liberate his people...

He was referred to as a rebel by the Roman authority and some of his people ( The Jew priests)...

Jesus was accused of the crimes of blasphemy and sedition by the Roman authority.
Judas played the role of a snitch AFTER HE WAS BRIBED, for Jesus to be apprehended.
Jesus was killed for the crimes he was convicted of. Later on, some confused and obsessed fellows made up the story of how his death paid for their sins grin

Because they can't just accept that an intelligent and innocent teacher could just die like that. They felt that there must be a strong reason for it, and since giving pure sacrifices to their gods then was the best gesture of worships, they attributed Jesus' death to the greatest sacrifice they can ever offer to their god....AND A RELIGION WAS BORN! (Chris tia nity)

Only he who starts of his own accord can advance spiritually. The fool who appropriates and makes use of the ready-made opinions of others, is like one who dismembers his own sturdy legs and walks on crutches.

'The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.' - Psalms 14:1
Don't let this remain true of you. Insults will not change the truth to a lie.

So you know some of the words of Jesus? That is good. But do you also know that he came to show us an example and to fulfil all righteousness? (Matthew 3:15)
'For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously' - 1 Peter 2:21-23

Do you also know that he said he and the Father are one? Do you know that he is the Word of God made flesh? In the flesh, God humbled himself and took our natural human limitations (Phil. 2:6-11, Heb. 10:5) of not being everywhere or knowing everything at the same time for that purpose of redemption because man sinned and man had to be justly punished or pay the price and no natural/sinful man could do this but a perfect man (God in the flesh).

Do you understand that God is Omnipresent? That He fills heaven and earth? That He can be in more than a thousand places at the same time? That He sees what you and I are doing right now even if we hide deep inside a cave thousands of miles apart?

God, by His omnipresent power, operates or relates with His creation in three distinct ways as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That is the Godhead, which some people call the Trinity. And when it is said that Jesus, the Word of God which is God Himself(John 1:14, ch 14:9, Isaiah 9:6) is the "Son of God", some people will compare Him to the nature of a man and be asking who is His wife. 'Son' in this term refers to who proceeded from God. Your biological son is like a replica of you proceeding from you. In another sense, you as a man can call an adopted boy your 'son' even though you did not give birth to him biologically. Is the son of a Landlord not also a Landlord? Is the 'Son' of the Divine and Supreme Being (God) not also a Divine and Supreme Being? "I and my Father are one." - John 10:30
(Colossians 1:15-19, Matthew 28:18, John 5:22-23, 1 John 2:22-23, 1 Timothy 3:16)

Many people like you may limit God in their minds to just a Being sitting down in heaven only seeing or attending to one or a few things at a time, or how else could He be ruling/overseeing heaven and earth with all created beings, listening to and attending to the needs of His people here on earth in several places all around the world if He could only process one or a few things at a time like the man He created? Imagine an electronic robot trying to understand the manufacturer's make up of flesh and blood, soul and spirit, but anyway its manufacturer (man) still has limitations.

I wonder what spiritual advancement you can make as a person without the only true God who is the God of the spirits of all flesh.

KNOWMORE56:

Another thing I learned from the temptation is that eating play a big role in obedience to God.

The devil came to Eve and talked about eating something.

He came to Jesus and the 1st thing is eating.

How many people have disobeyed God because of hungers...
very wonderful observation. thanks.

You'll only continue to make yourself look and feel stupîd if you continue quoting your story book (Bible).
I know so much about that book already.
It's very unreasonable to continue trying to prove a point using a reference that's one-sided.
I don't believe in your story book.
There are hundreds of it in this world.
There are more than 2000 gods.
Why should I believe in your story book?
Why should I believe in your god?
What makes your story book and god special from all other ones?
Do you know sense at all?
