Looking at this comment now makes me teary. Indeed God is a master planner of our future. A lot has happened these few years. The exposure and experience i gathered these few years has refined and shaped me into becoming a better person. I thank God for the man i am today.

At the time i posted this comment, i was at the lowest point of my life as I lost a golden opportunity of becoming a lecturer in one of the renowned federal university, owed 18months house rent, had a jobless father and a sick mom (who's late now) and was Jobless at the same time. But i thank God for his grace and the resilience he gave me.

I applied to many jobs, updated and scrutinized my CV but none was forthcoming. I wrote aptitude tests, interviewed with big schools and top organizations yet i wasn't shown the light. The funny but unfortunate experiences i had during this search were enough to make me pull out but i stood still. I don't know how i did it, it was just God.

My dear friends, consistency is key. Keep on doing what you know how to do best whilst seeking knowledge as well. Never relent on your efforts because one day your light will shine. Personal development is also of utmost necessity. Teaching is a passion which requires some set skills to stand out. At that point where you hit the rocks, it is only the passion and the burning zeal that keeps you going.

Indeed i am a product of hardwork and GRACE. Who would have told me then that i will be teaching in an international school now taking IGCSE and Checkpoint courses. God be praised!

Although, i may not be at my peak at the moment but i am far better than what i used to be and that's PROGRESS. I hope this will uplift a soul here, thanks.

IGCSE is a cambridge exam written by year 12 (ss3) students. While checkpoint subjects are taught within year 7 - 9 (JSS1-3) and at the end exams are administered to the year 9 students. You can check the British council website for more details on how to get certified.

Nice thread Op. Someone I know very well just got a job with a school at Ikorodu. The pay is 30k per month plus nice accommodation, not to mention other seductive package.

A few days after he got a placement with an infant publishing outfit, to be paid 40k per month plus weekly transport allowance and a little package. It's a marketing job.

Which would you advise him to go for?
Please Sir I need the teaching job, let him go for the later. Please
