Hmmm. This is how the Taliban started in Afghanistan before they ended up making the place a damn mess.

Why is Nigeria hell bent on moving backwards to the stone ages in this modern era of civilisation? While they are busy out here fighting in the name of religion, other nations are giving us social distancing in terms of development.

Itopsin:
I stay in Kaduna, there is no hisbah in Kaduna
I also stay in KD and I know Chikun LGA is predominantly Christians. If you live in Kaduna you will realize that's its ALMOST divided across religious lines. Making such statements is like claiming hisbah law in IMO state. Such news can quickly cause unrest in the state. Therefore I suggest we confirm our source before we publish.
Having said that I can't claim to know the village. If a group of settlers/people decide to pick an isolated location and create their own law and government. Well, its left for district heads or well meaning Nigerians to react and call the attention of relevant agencies. Ignoring it will create new stories in future.

Kaduna used to be so cosmopolitan, bubbly and buoyant, but it a now becoming the land of jackals as a result of retrogressive knowledge.

I wonder why many people here are complaining on their behalf

The youths in those states come to Nairaland and tell us the it is not applicable everywhere but they like it and the people like it

Stop holding your heads for another man's headache

This reminds me of game of thrones the scene where religious reformist grew so strong that they upturned the gvt... Similar case may happen in Nigeria starting from the North

People should ask that short man devil when did El Rufai launched Hisbah in Kaduna. Every plan for this man to rule Nigeria should just be blocked.

Is Nigeria another Saudi Arabia?, whoever merged Southern and Northern Naija together, it will not be better for the person in his grave.

They will not put their energy and law behind fighting the terror groups that are killing and beheading people in that region, but to ban use of smartphone (which is regular source of income for some) and dress code instead.

The truth many don't want to hear is Nigeria is not one and it can never be one.

1914 almagamation had done more harms than good.

Exactly one of the reasons why the country is retrogressing in all sphere of life.

The earlier the southern break away from this marriage by force, the better for the country so that those who want to practice their Sharia can freely do so.

Nigeria passport is no longer recognised, appeared disgusting and irritating in any foreign country even including Ghana here.

Oduduwa republic is not negotiable.

Biara republic all the way.

secularism is the principle of the separation of government institutions and persons mandated to represent the state from religious institutions and religious dignitaries. and with this definition. Nigeria is a secular state

A secular state will not recognise any religion. In Nigeria, we have Christianity, Islam and ATR which are recognised in the constitution and one can FREELY practice or change to. In state ceremonies/functions, prayers are said in the major religion. Government also fund, maintain and oversee religious bodies and buildings eg national mosque and ecumenical centre. We also have pilgrims boards which are government regulated. In court of law, you swear with either the Bible, Quran or the symbol of the ATR. Nigeria is a multi religious state.

Officials of Hisbah in Kaduna State have banned girls and ladies in Kuriga Village under Chikun Local Government Area from using or possessing mobile phones and sunglasses.

QUESTION
If elrufai daughter go chikun LG go see her long lost friend and spent 1 week, using sunglasses and mobile phones in public. Will the hisbah mofos do something to her. its a poor man rules. e no dey affect rich people.
