how can you say Canada is overrated. Its still the easiest first world country giving permanent residency and citizenship in 3 years. All you have to do is increase your scores with masters, extra diploma or french. Since you are 30 and have bsc already.

Sir like I have stated previously I am a researcher and my comments are based on my research so far, this thread is not meant to b a point for argument but a point to share information, please no vex if my saying overrated meant another meaning to you, I stated it as overrated because there are other countries which would still offer you as much good life as Canada would offer you. But just that Nigerians have not taken so much time to harness this other countries simply because of the over rating that Canada has been over rated with. Please if you have guides. towards processing Canada seamlessly please share here

As if you know bros. USA and Canada is overrated. I love the USA Sha and I would get there someday but aiming such countries from Nigeria I believe it to be a waste of time. A Nigerian can rather aim a place like Mexico or Brazil or Japan. Gain their citizenship and use it to move to a much saner clime later one. Mexican embassy in naija is fucking empty. Citizenship by birth 150 countries visa free inclusive of Canada.

I understand this is you sharing your thought process and plans based on what you have gathered from reading etc. Great to ask for feedback.

The first question you should really be asking yourself is where can you travel to make a better living. When that is done... a thread like this should follow... for you to get insight about that particular country. If all seems good... it is then the how to get there question gets priority.
There is sooo much to learn... like you said from others sharing their experiences here on NL. But this is something soooo important we overlook ... what we learned about... how to go about doing stuff.... do they apply in these COVID-19times?
For example....Last year.... GetawayX shared how he applied to University Y.... got admitted and was granted a Student Visa... travelled... got on campus boarding... and after lectures worked late into the night as a cleaner at a busy diner just outside campus. That's how he got money to maintain himself. You now have decided to follow his path.... but you are now in COVID-19 times. Is there in person classes?... if yes....how many days a week?... are the dorms opened?.... is the diner opened for indoor dining?...or just take away? ... most likely many businesses have been shut down... out of business.... unemployment has risen... job prospects drastically reduced.... food pantries bare. Get my drift?... one need to find out what's up on ground in these times before making a decision to travel out. Restrictions are wayyy too much. Just saying.

Sir you have a point but honestly even if something worse than covid19 erupts the outside world as fõr now would still be a better choice to make, than staying in Nigeria. Still based on my tots so far. with the whole covid my friends studying in the US still got financial assistance, this are foreign persons getting financial support, students for that matter, how much more their own citizens?

Think about the reverse here in Nigeria real citizens never got a dime not to talk of foreign students studying here in Nigeria dats if there are foreign students self

Exactly my point, go to Canada student thread, even after giving persons go ahead with AIP to start online classes after payment of tuition fee, they still turn around to deny Visa, some others are delayed for months in deceit even when their visa has been denied months ago, they just keep them to wait in vein.....

Pls kindly share the process for the Mexican , Japan or Brazil visa.... It would definitely help someone

I am interested in the work path. Those countries have easy route to getting work visas. You have to apply to companies there and get a job. I am not interested in student visa. These countries also have really good and cheap universities. Look at the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil, the university of Tokyo in Japan. UNAM in Mexico. I have said it anyone putting eyes on USA and Canada from Nigeria and your papa no get money you dey waste your time.

Good day all,

I am opening this thread as I feel my present state is applicable to so many persons hence I seek a particular thread where we all can unite, share and streamline our opportunities and choices based on informations we have been gathering from different other country specific threads.

I have come to that point in my life where I choose to reject very other thing that isn't related to traveling out of Nigeria,

I would be sharing the informations I have gathered so far and hopefully some other persons would be kind enough also to share theirs.....

Hence I declare this thread Open!!!!

Mr OP am Following you bumper to fender...

One of my greatest desire is becoming a PR or preferably a citizen of either of these countries Canada, Germany, Australia, Netherlands, Ireland, South Korea.

I don't want my offsprings to be limited by their Fatherland, I want to experience what it feels like to live in a sane society.

I want my Children to have more OPTIONS than I currently do

Living in Nigeria is tough but living in Nigeria at this moment is tougher.

I want to be able to travel the world without feeling like a criminal (even though am not) cause of my passport.

I want to escape this HELL

Don't just go anywhere all in the name of traveling without finding out how things work there. Getting the qualification is not the issue, but the question is are you a native speaker of English. Priority is given to Native speakers of English.

And from your second paragraph, I did not say anything about visa so I don't know where you are getting that from.
Finally, am not discouraging anyone am sharing the information I got.

How many native speakers are willing to leave their countries to teach in another when their countries pay them well?
The second paragraph is for whoever has the intention of going to Vietnam (border is still closed till God knows when).
When you've conducted proper research, you'll see Vietnam accept Non native speakers...but you won't be paid well like a native speaker. At all at all na im bad

Obviously most travel threads currently consist of so much pages such that anyone who dedicates time to go tru all one after the other would never complete reading it all even from now till the next 3years.

First question: I asked my self is how exactly can one travek out and make a better living

Answer: Either through school path or through Skilled or experienced Path.

Second question: classification of schools

Answer:

1. Schools that are free of school fees (Germany)

2. Schools where you must pay full tuition (Australia, Canada)

3. Schools where you can pay partial tuition ( Ireland, Poland, UK)

Hello. I love what you're doing here and following 100 percent. No doubt, the two major ways of travelling abroad are via school and skilled immigrant route.

Thank you for the thread.

However, it is not entirely true that you are required to pay the full tuition in Australia. I did a Masters in Public Health there in 2016 and school fees was paid in about 3 instalments. First instalment before you leave Nigeria, second instalment before you start lectures, and the third instalment before your final exams.

Maybe some other schools in Australia require full tuition though i can't say. This is why I said this is not entirely true.
