What is your take on a business analyst role in the i.t section.

Ps its under the shortage list
Aphrodite007:

File for PR as in Permanent Residency? I’m this UK abi is there another UK? grin

Even us that have British spouse and children don’t have permanent residency, doctors that have been working here for 4 years don’t have permanent residency, na student grin

SAP is a software that he can learn. He doesn’t need a degree in it. No need to do a degree in project management (which is even phasing out due to agile practice), supply chain is great but a professional course in it can suffice no need to do a degree in it. Data can’t fail anyone but this person has to know sql, Python and R; they can’t just expect to get a degree in DA and get a Data job.

Does this apply to business analyst in the I.t sector? Or just developers

Is there a company that would employ a Business Analyst from Abroad and issue a CoS?

This is your territory.
Kindly help. I am interested in this answer too.

It doesn’t matter wether you come in as a student or not ... Your experience is what will guarantee you a job in IT. So experience very important.

If Posh is simultaneous to expensive places. Then, you can check this link. Most of the streets referred to are in Trafford and Didsbury. Maybe because these places are close to Old Trafford (Manchester United Stadium).

However, further clarifications on where you will be working, type of apartment you want etc will make it easier to give you more options.

Ok.just had a look at the guidance document. It is 69 pages so no power to read it in details this early morning..

But I think you are right and probably good to go regarding using 6 month to calculate what the annual income might be . Based on 16k in 6 months would mean like 32k annual salary which is over the 18k.

However make sure you read that guidance and absolutely sure that it's ok to proceed

Ok. Thank you

I'm tempted to say it's impossible to get sponsorship as a Business Analyst but then again I used to work with a QA that was sponsored straight from India so you don't want to underestimate the power of luck.

Generally, sponsorship is geared towards experienced developers/engineers that knows their stuff.

My question isn't based on being outside the country though. Asking in terms of someone who has come in as a student

The smart play is for your guy to send his wife to uni for a masters, and come with her as a dependent.

That way he has leave to remain, no restrictions on work, and no need for sponsorship.

Be warned though, Covid has destroyed the IT market. Hopefully it picks up towards the middle of next FY, but it's grim right now.

Grim understatement ....in the last 2 months in my field I haven't seen a single job post. I suspect when contract ends it going to be a long holiday till next year

I'm fortunate to have remained in contract during this period, and will be in contract till the end of the financial year.

That being said, I'm not taking anything for granted. I've been trying to double-contract throughout this lockdown period and there's literally nothing out there for sensible rates.

I've had to stop going on LinkedIn as well as my feed just seems to be full of incredibly-qualified out of work people crying out for help.

It's terrifying and depressing in equal measure.

This your question is doing me one kind . By ‘posh’ you mean you are ready to pay £2k pcm for a 3 bedroom house?
Anyway your budget, proximity to work, number of children, etc will determine location. Manchester is not that small so you need to pick your location wisely and not solely on ‘poshness’.

Invitation letter
Account statement
Payslips & offer letter
Passport
Mortgage statement/tenancy contract or council tax bill
Marriage certificate

I stated i was sponsoring her trip and i think it helped that i sent to her account the flight fare to show commitment from my end.
Also do not mention In your letter that reason for inviting her is for child care because that’s a no-no.

All the best

I see nothing wrong in saying Childcare / baby sitting if he wants to. They definitely are aware grandparents do come over from anywhere in the world to spend time with their grandkids.

Some of us actually learnt the hard way, my friend’s mum was denied a visit visa because of this. The VO stated she is coming for childcare purpose when there are numerous childcare service providers in the UK.
There is also a clause in the home office document regarding visitors who act as temporary child minder -"neither of the parents should be in a category leading to settlement”.
Some things are better left unsaid, no VO will deny grandparents from coming to visit or see their grandchildren so it’s clever to leave it at that.

I think this clause is not applicable anymore as it's been withdrawn.

My friend mum went to apply but it was US visa and not UK and said childcare and the VO denied and said you be depriving a child care provider of a job. I was shocked to hear that ...so yes I personally know someone mum where this was said although it not UK visa

I agree to be on the safe side. You can say bonding with child and grandchild instead of out outrightly saying child care

Wait oo. I am just seeing that clause..ehnn which kind yeye clause be that . They better withdraw it lol

It appears that spending the big bucks is not a problem for you- which is impressive.

You don’t need to worry about references. Seriously.

Just pay for 6 months upfront, and no letting agency would ask for no damn reference.

Easy o, how about saving the posh money to buy a house instead...to carry money dash landlord isnt the best o.

Manchester has good areas with decent rents...its up to you to pick an area with things/wants like proximity to good schools or your place of work, shops, parking, gardens...as well as safety.
