don't worry.. Restructuring would begin soon and you go see with ur eyes.. The oil you are even clamoring for is becoming stale and past tense.. Other saner countries are moving to tech, you are here dragging oil..
Who dae drag oil.

My only message is we no want restructuring.

U dae talk oil.

My stand stop remains the same. The major beneficiaries of restructuring is the SS and SW.

So why should us in the east support it, after the hate and insults we have received cause of it in the past.

Baba Adeboye speaking out in public now only means he has exhausted all his options of trying to convince the bigot why Nigeria must be restructured.

The North West and North East, who the mistake of a President only represents must accept Restructuring or a ruthless dissolution will be the last option.
i wonder why he choose to speak now,CAMA perhaps, you cant try choking a man and espect him not to react.

Only u know what your problem is?

The north is ever strong and united. We self in the east are tired of these back stabbing southerners with no vision.

If we want restructuring we from the east will demand to be merged with the north.

The east have nothing in common with these southerners rather than some small similarities. But we have alot in common with the north
Coward pretending to deceive others. You all can see the greatest fear of the fulanis is Southern Unity. There are a couple of such impostors here trying to scuttle any Southern Unity. All non fulanis/kanuri stay on break up and watch them beg.
Shameless impostor. You're now scared to the bone. Don't worry... tick tock.

I see your point. However, what I was driving at is, no matter how many countries Nigeria becomes, the leaders of each country will be the same as the leaders in Nigeria today, unless youth choose wisely. Let me just take this "definition of what corruption is"; no region has decided that corruption is bad, as in senators, governors, reps, LGA chairmen from every place chop and clean mouth. What kind of restructuring, round table, can repair this?

Often when I mention countries that have developed in spite of their varied populations, people huffily state that we're different. UK has 4 tribes (English, Welsh, Scots, Irish) that fought for nearly 1000 years. India and China have countless ethnicities. US is made of people all over Europe (English, Germans, Irish, Italians, West Africans, Indians, etc). Malaysia, Indonesia, also, multiple ethnic groups. All with their own interests, and backgrounds.

I find no need to restructure or come to more round table discussions. Just serve your people justly and honestly.
how can that be achieved if restructuring doesn't take place? And how do yiu think these countries you mentioned held it together?

Let's stop deceiving ourselves with the notion that dividing Nigeria will solve the problem. Have we ever held our LG chairmen, governors etc. Responsible for misrule despite the huge sums of money they receive as allocation? A number of areas are not motorable not to talk of access to water but to an average southerner, the entire problem of the region is the north and federal government. Let's start by holding our councilors, LGA chairmen, state & national houses of assembly members and governors and we will realize that our leaders are our major problem and not the north nor federal government.

My brothers, it's not the terminology that's the problem: ECN (gov't) -> NEPA (gov't) -> PHCN (public holding) -> LDC (private). Still no light.
No matter how we rearrange, restructure, or restructuring the country; whether they are in one large barrel or several baskets, we still have the same bad apples.

That is the misunderstanding you folks keep on having. Big basket, small basket is still putting products before the process. That is not restructuring. When you seek to restructure you have no idea of what the outcome will be. It is not a deatination but a journey that never ends.

The 'talking' as in this case will be about WHY are these things are not working. Who is comfortable with these things not working and why.

Your position is simple. They are like that and can never be changed. Some other person will say, well it doesn't matter if life is hard, I can manage. While others will just walk away from Nigeria because they simply cannot tolerate it.

These are three distinct value systems that a call for restructuring seeks to put around a table of discourse with the aim of uniting them into one that works for all so that we can seek the closest definition of what a typical Nigerian knows about public utilities for example and expects of service delivery.

Before the SARS protest there will have been Nigerians absolutely in love with that organisation, some disinterested, sime absolutely appalled and horified, the same country, the same people. How can that be. Some are protesting against its removal.

How can any leader no matter how well intentioned succeed in leading a people with such discordant values.

Get your values straightened out, get your horses pulling in one direction and the chariot of state will progress swiftly, leadership becomes a breeze.

Restructuring is not about goverment, it is not a goverment agenda, it is about ALL Nigerians. It should be a peoples cry.

When the people decided to come to build a tower to heaven, even God was worried as to what could be accomplished.

All those things you mentioned can never see positive realisation without a framework.

Now back to the topic, i really do not think Nigeria can afford breaking up at this point. Regional governance would be the best option.

Tinubu wants restructuring low key but he is not saying it until he gets power

I no know for Tinubu o. He is a politician and my abandon the restructure mantra once he gets power if he sees that it threatens second term for him. Nigeria needs multiple centres of economic prosperity before restructuring o.

Am happy u understand my point. Nigeria presently is not ready for restructuring.

How many states in Nigeria can function without federal allocations.

Imagine with federal allocations they owe salaries for months do u know what will happen to those states when the federal allocations stop coming?

Which is why we will use the 6 current geopolitical zones as the federating units. This way, there are economies of scale, and every region can focus on becoming a hub for one trade or another. For example, the SE can use the natural gas deposits it is endowed with, along with the industrious spirit of the Igbos, to become the manufacturing hub of the country. Likewise, the SW, with access to the sea and major cities, along with a booming tech industry, can become the commercial hub of the country, and even West Africa at large. Even region has what it takes to survive. Only those who are lazy are afraid

We can't use that. 6 geopolitical zones can't work every state is free to form mutual alliance with any state from any zone for their mutual economic prosperity. Just as Lagos did by partnering with kebbi on rice farming.

Merging states into regions will lead to more tribalism
