My brother please read the owners manual.. It should be 5w30 .. That car is tokunbo, when you read owners manual you prolong the life span of the engine....

When a manufacturer builds something, they have an idea how long it should last .. They know if you take care of the product ,it will reach its maximum capacity... example below .. .

Toyota Rav4 .. An independent study came out that says. If you follow the owners manual that particular car will last you a X amount of time or mileage..

Do you think a car like that will last up to 250k miles using 20w50 palm oil .... The tokunbo cars that you guys buy abroad wilk not last you guys even two years if the owner abroad didn't take care of it ... so plz bro don't use that rubbish look for 5w30 genuine oil. .. You don't have to buy from me o .. They are other sellers on that platform that sells oil. .......

Since you might be tight on a budget. I have Castrol gtx magnatec that I imported personally from the USA coming out next week for 15k naira ......

Thanks.... Will get back to u when I'm ready

It depends how long you want your engine to last.... Just read owners manual and look for genuine oil ....goodluck sha.. Keep in mind dollar has gone up ,and price of engine has gone up..... So factor in all these .. You either want to cry now or laugh later.... Maintenance and genuine parts is the key ....

Hmmmmmmmmn.... OK thanks dru23

Compare 15k naira to cost of tokunbo engine.... Either way it is ur choice... and this is why I don't buy used naija cars.....

I just dey look dey laff... When drivers call to get car, did they say it's for interstate? I think drivers miss interpretation of contract when they come to collect cars...

For a example, my driver took my vehicle to Benin without my permission all in the sake he wants to make up his rental.... gbam he gets involved in an accident which kept in Benin for 1month and now he owes 180k to me...

Simple instructions or contract agreement drivers can't uphold... If the car was for interstate ...then we should charge interstate fees... 50k weekly (I do interstate biz)

Bros the facts is clear. State your terms and conditions to your driver b4 you hand over you car to them. If they terms and conditions are not fine with either or both parties then you move on. No issues there.

You can hire your car to men for uber business and expect me not to do interstate with it when the offer comes by. Or are you not aware people order rides to outside Lagos?

Accident happens anywhere, even inside yiur room accident happens. And when it happens you take it upon yourself as it comes along or to your insurance company.

When I ran into a car in front of college road, Oga with my previous partner's car I made sure I fixed it with the money given to me by the guy that entered my front fr9m the service lane and I added money to it to complete the work. Indid all of these simply because I know my partner had a 3rd party insurance, otherwise, I would have called him/her to inform them of it then drive the car to the insurance company while I wait to pick it up when its fixed. But because I've a conscience I did all expenses without even informing them but after I'd done with fixing it.

So get facts right before you come out to make comments and do go thw world's way of talking like a woman without having cognizant knowledge of things and then try to run once good reputation down with senseless comments.

When police stopped me on my way back fr9m Akure to Benin who did I call? So how was my partner not being aware of my journey outside Lagos had I not informed her b4 leaving. Abi I be mumu no??

I hope you are not lying as usual. It's extremely difficult to believe anything from you.

I remember blackbishop once stated here that you are a different person when not on nairaland. I find that hard to believe cos your behaviour is unique. Just go and work on yourself.

I won't trust my car to you whether HP or on rental. Enjoy.

Hmmm... I'm really enjoying my day Bros... Thanks

Let me explain as short and simple for .. When you use thicker oil like 20w50 on modern cars like urs ... The oil sleeves in the engine are made to allow certain types of oil to flow through out the engine...

So if you now use thicker oil. The oil pump will now take longer time for oil to flow properly to the moving parts of the engine .. The thicker the oil the longer it takes for oil to flow at the start of your engine.. In the long run you end up damaging your engine .. It wears out faster.....

Bro don't mind them joor.. Common sense is not always common with these people.. Because you apply common and logical sense is the reason you doing good .. The huge gap between rich and poor will never change... some of these drivers think they are doing you a favor, mean while just has uber has provided opportunities for them , you are always proving opportunities for drivers .. I know that you have other business just like I do ..... If anybody out there thinking you doing dru23 a favor cause you work for me etc .. You have miss road... last last dru23 will be ok , am not rich yet , but am not lacking or begging....

Most Nigerians feel entitled, they should go out there hustle and buy their own cars for uber or products to sell and take the same risk we take .....

I honestly can't imagine my self in traffic above 3hrs for now using d 4 to 5pm 3rd mainland bridge as yard stick. I'll just alight from d car and let the rider do whatsoever that pleases him or her with the car and b trekking home... if it's indriver, we don't even have talk, I'll just b like "Oya! Madam come down, overheating, ah won pull over", find d nearest spot to park and find my way to any nearest fun spot.

Greedy and selfish drivers everywhere.....they have taken over the thread....Gone are the days of Ogunvic and Romeo of blessed memories...gingering drivers and encouraging partners.....then somehow mistakenly ruining investors....lol.....everyone had their share in the business....now it's all greedy drivers who bully everyone with a dissenting opinion...
Yes...jpworld sound harsh and depicts a lack of compassion... but some drivers response here is worse...It seems partners are meant to be father Christmas or something...like let's be open with each other...no one here is rich( except for bosses like Gazzuzz, Radautoworks, Carshopper, some silent billionaires and dru23 who still cant drive a car...lol)....everyone is looking for money....to be rich and comfortable....

Let's have the fear of God in whatever we do....we all have to do better.....#Uberpartnerslivesmatter

Let me share an experience I'd yesterday night in VI.

Took one of my clients from Ikeja GRA to VI to eat at a restaurant, while i was waiting I decided to buy fuel just incase movement changes since 10pm was approaching. I then decided to on uber app... Zoom request 1.8x. Called rider I'm coming, she was going nearby.

On my way rider called down the 3rd time in less than 5min...

R: You're not moving, why na

Me: I'm moving oh pls check your app again

R: but you're not moving or is ur phone n network ok?

Me: maybe it's from your end because I'm presently at A.Odeku...

Before I could complete1 the sentense.

R: you sound so rude.

Hand up and the next I saw, "rider cancel". Me I just smile... "See dis mumu u think say I get ur time, thank God you cancel self because me for reach where u dey wait 5min n cancel".... I fear 1star like "E" the tin d drag CGPA down like mad.

Another came in immediately I didn't pick without surge. Then another came in with 1.1x.

R: afyer greeting, bla bla bla...

Me: ok, I'm close

R: are you the one that just parked

Me: yes please.

R: ok I'm coming.

Waited for like 7min rider didn't show up.

Me: ive been waiting here since but...

R: Sorry who is this

Me: shuu!!! U ordered a uber ride na and give been here for...

R: I've gotten to my destination already na

I just hanged up to check if I was dailing the wrong number.
Rider called back

R: you shouldn't hanged up on me like that! I entered a car and the driver didn't even tell me its not my rider and he took me to where I needed to be so I'm sorry.

I just kept calm in astonishment listening to her explanation, which she did for over a minute.

Me: so if they're to kidnap u that was how easy it would have been?
Ok listen, when next, b4 u enter a car make u check d plate number, confirm the driver's name...bla bla

R: thanks so much...

I then cancelled without asking uber to charge her.

I then to begin to wonder...
