This is good, I don't see the point of protest for changes in a country you aren't located in, it's not like Buhari switches on guys TV and says "OMG nigerians abroad are protest I better listen to them because it is my duty to respond to citizens in another country who in no way affect the economy of Nigeria or presidential elections"

Hmmm.... putting the cart before the horse. Didn't they know large gatherings are not allowed?... so why would they even think about having a protest march? Then advertise first.... and go trying to get permission after. Unbelievable.

Maybe you should educate yourself before making such statements.

Nigeria received $17.57 billion in direct diaspora remittances between January and November 2019. Data obtained from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) revealed.

We all knows that Turkey has been sponsoring terrorism in Nigeria through religion partnership. Turkey is the one backing Buhari and his Alies in Sahalel, even she is the one sponsoring conflicts within some of the Nations sorounding her.

So is not surprising if they denial Nigerian over there for the peaceful protest against police brutality and bad governance.

Shame on Turkey, shame on Buhari. The war is coming.

You ppl are clearly explain ur religious jingoism. More than 90% of smuggled arms to Nigeria through land boarder are made of France and France is the biggest threat to English speaking nations. This is the reason why nothing concrete can be achieved in any movement in Nigeria due to extreme bigotry of ppl like u and ur feeders. You need to expose ur thinking beyond religious bigotry and learn more independently.

Abeg if you are not sure of what you are saying, especially if you do not have first hand information desist from arguing these kind of issues. You don't have to comment if you don't know. It's alright. You can definitely argue that Erdogan is a staunch Moslem, but a significant proportion of their population have no religious affiliation. Well over 50%. If that's what your idea of secular means.

It's disappointing seeing the way ppl are making insensitive comments about others based on sentimental story or hates which won't benefit them. Struggle can never be achieved in Nigeria because of religious sinister in everything. The way many ppl comment here has shown that they're not looking for better governance but a govt governed by their religious fellow.
GEJ & OBJ are Christians and their 14yrs regime benefitted little to Christianity but few religious clergies who used that opportunity to siphon money. Yaradua and PMB's 7years don't in any way benefit Islam. Politicians capitalised on blind ignorant belief of religion by masses to keep looting us forever. The sentimental baseless comments here has proved that no matter how hard we work to achieve common goals some people have hidden agenda in it.
People are very wise and cautious today, everything happening in this nation is under full observation.

Oh please shut it. Besides my observation being there physically, information is available online. Stop being a dolt.

Islam is the largest religion in Turkey according to the state, with 99.8% of the population being initially registered by the state as Muslim, for anyone whose parents are not of any other officially recognised religion and the remaining 0.2% are Christians or adherents of other officially recognised religions.

Wikipedia is not correct in this regard. I have no idea how Wikipedia ended up with that stat.I thought so too, hence my emphasis on first hand information. I do agree you can look up information online. But i would advice you not to rely on one source for information, especially Wikipedia. I would think any well-informed person knows this. Do not unnecessarily become emotional when arguing facts.

How does this change the fact that the country registered itself as secular?

I'm done answering questions. The internet is free, make use of it. Travel is also possible for those who want to. If you like, claim Saudi Arabia too is secular, it's not my problem.
Re: ENDSARS: Turkish Authorities Deny Nigerians Permission For Protest by benji93: 3:25pm On Oct 17, 2020
This is the last time I'll reply you on this subject. Let me provide you with a context. Have you heard of the term "nominal moslem"? In this respect, maybe 97% of the population are at least nominal Moslems. But most are not practicing. You can easily place the fact that most of them have moslem names in the context of history. I know of several cities whose population are mostly non-religious. You can check quora for further information on the subject.
