Emmaesty: Hi there, you shouldn't be worried about your school taking 3-6months, you should start now, while your transcripts is in process, you can start practicing for ielts and aim to max out... A total crs score of 474 can get you ITA in due time, since age is on your side. In my opinion no need for TEF.. Feel free to read page 1 extensively. Good luck. 1 Like |

Emmaesty:If you don't process your transcript, how will WES verify it? Don't let seemingly small issues like that deter you from your goals. You can do a short masters. But ensure it is legit and from a legit school. Even finishing that will take a longer time, though it will boost your score, and we don't know what cut-off would be next year Also, aim for a higher score in IELTS Play with the CRS calculator and see what the scores will give you, then you'd know that with your profile, 8777 is not that cool 1 Like |

Generally, it is valid for 12 months. You would have got the redo email before now if not for covid19-induced delays. wizzzz: |

If you get ITA soon, you can also submit your e-APR with the expiring passport. Then plan to renew when you can or asked to. DavidHume: |

DavidHume: Your new passport will carry a new passport number but the old passport number will be written on the new passport in the section of previous passport or so. I don’t think renewing your passport should be an issue if you’re using the same identity 2 Likes |

[quote author=Lotusgoddess post=94770025] Hello everyone , Please I will like to know if one can change their occupation on SINP expression of interest application. My husband applied as a lecturer but it seems people who apply as administrative officers (I am an administrative have a better chance of being given an invitation to apply. We applied since June of this year and we are yet to hear from them. Thank you. I will appreciate your replies. |

Hello everyone, Which language is advisable to be used as first languagee for someone of 40 years that has English and French language tests. Using English gives a higher score which gives 50 points more than using French. At this age Express entry may not be favorable due to high CRS cutoff. However, I dont know if using French as first language has a better advanatge considering provinces who look out for french speaking candidates.. In this case which is advisable to be used as primary language to create a profile? Thank you. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Nobody: 5:28pm On Oct 20, 2020 |
nasohian: Go with one as 1st language, transmit and see what the CRS comes out as. Edit with the other one as 1st, transmit and see what the CRS comes out as. All depends on your exact scores in the 4 competences for each test. Ontario have a French speaking program, not sure they have had a draw recently https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontarios-express-entry-french-speaking-skilled-worker-stream |

Emmaesty:First of all, congratulations for embarking on this journey. You stand a very good chance. So start by evaluating your transcripts then you can start preparing/write the ielts. Your target score is not what you wrote there, it should be L8.5R8W7.5S7.5 with this, you get 474, and you woulf not need taking the TEF as this will give you an ITA based on current trend. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by nasohian: 6:06pm On Oct 20, 2020 |
Thanks With CRS calculator, English IELTS gave a score of 352 while french TEF gave score of 296, With this is it better I use French as first language just to position myself for provinces since even the english score is far from present CRS ITA scores.Or even if i use english as first language provinces can as still see me as a candidate who has french despite using french as a second langauge? Your advise Mamaroon: |

Congratulations to all you got ITA.. I'll like to ask please. I intend entering the pool as my ECA is ready while I'm waiting for my IELTS results. However, my spouse has not been able to do her ECA as the senate of her school is yet to approve her results. What do you suggest here? Should I still go ahead or wait for her results to be ready? Thanks you |

isaacola57: Thanks. The guy I'm using told me I couldn't get a transcript, I wonder why? Plus he took 10k. Are you post-ITA? I am and I'd like to know if the foundation statement of result would suffice for upload as proof to support the undergrad certificate part of the ECA. |

Sandy10: I assume you are speaking as per for submission to WES? Did that last year already, I'm post-ITA now and need the statement of result/transcript as a personal copy to upload on my profile. |

If you are the principal applicant, you can enter the pool AFTER you have your IELTS results, not before. This is to take advantage of the tie breaking rule. You are permitted to enter the pool as married and add your wife, even if she doesn't have any ECA or IELTS yet. You will state that she doesn't have them yet. Once she has hers, update your profile to include her results. GreatManBee: 2 Likes |
