It's in Dollars everything is automated i.e the bank converts your Naira and pay the merchant in dollars. Just ensure that you have the necessary amount by converting before hand with your bank's Dollar exchange rate.

The only time you source dollars yourself is if you were operating a dollar/domiciliary account.

Meanwhile upon arrival in Lagos, UPS in SACHO branch sent me a notification email concerning the item. A "handling fee" of 6,698 naira for a 3kg item that costs 59k on AE. The item is said to be 3kg weight.

But I actually took a second look and saw that duty fees formed part of the billing by UPS.

So I believe their handling fees and custom duty all formmfractions of the total charges on item.
