Hi, so for my case I applied March 24, with biometrics from previous application and upfront medical, got AAiP Aug 6, then got deferral letter from my college for Jan 2021 intake. You advice I send it to IRCC Kenya office immediately? If yes how?
silvamania:
Maybe we can learn from this ;
*IRCC WEBINAR for Indians OCT 22*

1. Your visa will be in a deactivated state if your college is not on the covid ready list (those who have visas)
2. If you have an AIP for 2021 then you must have deffered and if you did then you have to notify the ircc about the defferal with a new loa via the webform
3. for the classes starting in 2021 you will get a normal visa (NO AIP if you have an aip send them the new LOA via webform)
4. All the applications will be on hold if the said DLI is not yet on the list. only those application who's DLI's are on the list will be prioritised and also advances to 2nd stage.
5. If you have completed 1 full year online you are still eligible for PGWP (for 1 year programs)
6. If your college is on the list you can travel anytime for sept students irrespective of the mode of delivery (3 weeks prior before the class start date for jan students)
7. VFS will open stage wise (Delhi vfs is open for accepting passports)
8. There is no date on vfs yet discussions are going for November opening.
9. No POE is needed if your DLI is on the list. carry your loa, quarantine package list (or ur quarantine plans), passport and visa.
10. when they know when vacs will open then they will prioritise who has to give biometrics first.
11. No ppr's will be issued without biometrics (my ppr is on hold due to no bio)
12. passport requests will be sent to students who's DLI is on the list.
13. Quarantine plan is at the college discretion.
14. you can give biometrics in another country but you cant give biometrics at the port of entry (no bio no visa)
15. DLI list will be updated every 2 weeks (dli can update you before the 2 week time).

Congratulations to you and others who have gotten their PPRs.

Since the VAC in Nigeria not currently accepting passports, how will the passports be stamped? Can they be sent to other VACs?
Honorable Nairaluck posted this Snapshot on the 1st of SEPTEMBER

I think this should address the Situation but I don't know if there is any new development to this effect.

That is a recent development. It is all good. Makes things easier.

Honorable, if she hides her masters and mentions it during PR application, wouldn’t it be a problem? I’m always for being as honest as possible.
Engager69:

Make it banking related because of your work experience, and I would advice you not to mention your initial masters. Doing that would not show career progression as the VO would expect you to go for a PHD since you already have a masters. Except you can explain without a doubt why the second masters would be of outmost important to you. But I advice you not to talk about your initial masters.

Congrats to everybody that have received PPR’s!!!! And for those still waiting, remain positive.

I know this is so much work, but please, can those of you that have received PPR’s, share a detailed post containing your timeline, the DOCUMENTS YOU SUBMITTED, and the school you’re going to / program you’re going for?... Thank you!

Hello @rebecausoro pls have u gotten update on your application since medical passed, i haven't, we did our medicals at the same time, maybe they are processing ours together.

No update yet but hopefully, soon. Some of my friends also got PPRs. IRCC didn't even use the date of application for the approvals. Their system is just funny. Anyhow, at least PPRs have started pouring in. Congrats to all who have gotten theirs.

Hello. I’m in Abuja. I have sent an email to vfs to enquire. They said it will take 2 days or less to get a reply. People in the house have said it’s via courier, if that’s the case I’ll use DHL

Hi rebeccausoro,

Is your skool yet to be in the COVID-19 Readiness DLI list...

Its looking as if its applicants whose school are on the DLI COVID-19 readiness Plan that are getting update as regards their application (BVL then PPR)?

I am also considering ordering my gcms notes. It has been 52 days of waiting for me. With the way PPRs have been moving out I have decided to wait till it's exactly 2 months (60 days) before I order the notes. Hopefully I get a response before then. Let's just have faith. God will see us through.

Hello adeenzo

Please keep calm. 45 days is still within the normal processing time.

What do you mean by “no response”? Have you done biometrics? Has it been updated? What is showing on your GC account under eligibility review and background check?

If you wish you can order your gcms notes to see what has been done on your application. But you’ll still have to wait for about 35 days to receive that after ordering it.

Best wishes

Hi everyone

Is it possible for paper applicants to receive PPR after AIP and medical request passed since passport submitted already??
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Dameelee: 11:14am On Oct 22, 2020
This is looking good.
Eilenora:

I have done biometrics and even saw several comments confirming biometrics done and good in the notes so I dont know why it reads outstanding.. For the rest of the comments, looks like it is still in the review stages so still on the waiting game. Let me know what you guys think as I am not sure I have seen this in any other notes I have come accross on the thread.

Good morning everyone, I am completely clueless on how to go about this whole thing. The main aim is to apply for a Masters degree program ( 2:1) and I have five schools in mind, which are:

University of Saskatchewan
Memorial university of Newfoundland
University of Northern British Columbia
University of Calgary
Simon Fraser university

1) Which of the above school is the best option?

2) What is the first thing I have to do? And what other steps do I have to take?

3) How much should I be looking at apart from tuition fee?

Please help
