Due to the increasing number of clients experiencing the problem of their laptop not charging and similar problems. I have decided to explain what you should do whenever you experience such. This will help you make the best decision and not pay money to self-aclaimed engineers for doing nothing. Do not rush to take your laptop to any engineer except a trusted and honest one. This is because if they check and discover your charger or battery is faulty, they won't tell you but rather tell you something else that would make you cough our money for a nonexistent fault in addition to buying the battery or charger.

First try charging the battery for a good time like over an hour. While charging, observe if the charging light is on. Also observe what the battery notification says when you run the system into windows. After checking , come back and see my verdict.

Plugged in and charging ( battery percentage increasing)>>>battery and system are OK.

plugged in charging ( battery percentage not increasing) >>> first try another charger to ensure your charger is not the culprit. Also try another battery to be sure your battery is OK. If after you try these and still not charging, your board is the culprit. If you are opportuned, try more than one charger and battery.

Plugged in and not charging>>>>Also try another charger and battery ( try more than one charger and battery). If after trying and your system refuse to charge either your battery or another battery, then your mother board needs to be checked.

The model is important for diagnosis. Check underneath the battery or the lower end of the screen.

Return it ASAP, since you got it last week and I believe the seller gave you at least 1month warranty.

So take it back.

First of all check your power management and reset to default.

It problem persist, consider replacing your battery.

Battery is weak though.

My laptop stopped the booting on process, so couldn't give me the lock screen window. It just shows the rolling mouse, after showing the windows logo..

It happens that the webcam isnt functioning and i had to go online to sought for self help if i could sort it out . In the course of that, i found out details sent by microsoft on the system specs was different from what was seen when i checked the system properties . Please i am confused. Which is the real system soecification ? And what's the possible explanation for the discripancies ? Thanks [img][/img]

Check if your HDD is fitted properly in it slot, depends on where it landed when it fell, cos HDD are fragile.

I'm suspecting a crash HDD.

Note that some London used laptop don't come with HDD, it's the seller that buy and install them.
Some come with low RAM it's the seller that will upgrade it.

This is not an issue.

First let's confirm if your laptop have an inbuilt camera or if the camera is working fine.

Go to device manager, locate imaging device, if it is among the list, then your camera is fine and available but if it is not there then its either your camera is bad or it is not available.

Another question, can you see the camera hole at the top of your laptop screen bezel?

You need to buy another camera,probably the one there is bad or not even available there, you just have the camera hole.

I believe you just got it, take it back to the seller unless it was stated that it doesn't have camera.

yes i just bought it. the seller has a bad customer service . He had me blocked on whatsapp. Of a truth , it escaped me asking about the webcam. Even when i chatted asking what could be done he was mute about it and picked offence when i sent him what microsoft sent about the system specs. I'll have to fix it myself. Do you have an idea of the cost implication to change the camera? Thanks
