Now about the plate camera's that were removed. It's quite clear that the reason those were removed was to hide the numbers of the army vehicles that came there cause they parked close or right were those plate cameras were to block people from leaving as they blocked both sides before they started shooting.

This was done to hide their identities so people wouldn't be able to trace were those soldiers came from.

Remember the state governor declared a 24 hr curfew. They have always been on ground since the beginning of the protest and so they could monitor whatever is happening at the toll but since they are bound to obey the curfew and they wouldn't be in ground, it is only logical for them to remove the properties they feel could be stolen while they wouldn't be on ground
