To be sincere that money no dey ground. One has to borrow and put in the bank in order to get bank statement, then you can send back the money to the owners. We also hope thing get better so that once admission starts rolling out next year, the money will be available too.

Will they accept this? I thought they only want to see a bank statement with sizeable monthly cash inflows and outflows... not just one lump sized inflow

What do u think?

What they are interested in, is only the closing balance on the account statement and also sponsor letter (if you have a sponsor). so even if you put the money in your account this week and get the bank statement next week. It won't affect anything.

As we approach, the start of a new application. Do well to gather all required documents,

1) A copy of Certs and transcript to upload
2) also mail your transcript and certs directly from your school to the intend school you want to study, pls start early.
3) WAEC/ NECO Certs with scratch card.
4) CV, Letter of Motivations, and check if it's a requirement in the school you're applying to.
5) Bank statement showing 5.5M and sponsorship letter.
6) IELTS/TOEFL, some achools require this too.

I wish all prospective applicants good luck including myself smiley

I just started looking at this Norway stuff. Oboi .. I confuse die like this. I have read some pages to get myself up to speed and already selected courses. My priority now is UiS... civil engineering programme. But my brother I need clarifications.

1. I just rounded up my NYSC and my school hasnt processed my cert but I have my result statement & transcript. Will that be okay?

2. You said my school needs to mail documents (cert and transcript), is it by post or email?

3. Dont I need to get admission first before sending these documents (cert and transcript) to avoid wastage of money?

4. If I provide 5.5m account, do I still need to provide a sponsorship letter?

5. Is jobs easy to get in Norway? Cos u know say man gats make the pepper ooo... cos shingbai nor gum boys

Thanks in adv

I can help answer a few questions here:

2. Post and Email
3. You have to send the documents before admission
4. If ithe money is in your name then you dont need a sponsorship letter

Sure others will be able to answer 1 & 5

I can't really tell if it is applicable to other countries.

I heard of someone that travelled to Canada on a visit visa.
She put the money in the account, printed the bank statement then withdrew out the money from the account.

I think this method can be used for school admission not sure about Visa purposes.

1: you can upload both documents to your application. But some schools only access statement of results that are few years old(like 2years).
Both documents are not enough as you still need contact your issuing university to mail the hard copies of your transcripts in a sealed envelope to the schools you're applying to.

2: Yes, Mail the hard copies. The document will have to be in a sealed envelope that has not been tampered with. I think your school will send it directly.
With regards to sending documents by email, You can contact the school directly because most schools accepts mailed documents. The method on how to send the documents can be found on the schools websites.

3: Sending hard copies to them is a cateria for your admission application to be considered. So you need to send hard copies. This way, they will know that you truly have acquired the educational result that you're applying with.

4: No, you don't need the sponsor letter if you have the said amount on your bank statement.

5: Jobs in Norway? This I can't make conclusion on because I'm also a prospective students like you too. From what I have seen online, a little or more of the language is required and it depends on the jobs you will be applying for.

Good evening everyone, thanks to all those who have been keeping the thread together. We the newbies are really benefitting from this and it goes along way. My issue is not a big one, I intend to study in Norway and I already got a school I can follow up with (UIT). I just did my change of name recently as I am married but my passport and other documents carries my maiden name, my application requests that I put my name as it is on my passport. Since I intend to travel with my husband, will this affect the issuance of my study permit? I’d be waiting for replies thanks

You can use google to check the conversion.

Hello sir/ma guess we are in the same shoe.I'm also currently running a masters at unilag, with the intention of going for another masters in a different programme at NTNU...Could we possibly share contacts. I just needed someone we could run this things together....Thanks for your response

Good evening everyone,

I would like to thank you all for your sincere contributions to this group, it is very informative as I have taken my time to read through from the beginning. I'm current a masters student in Unilag and would like to apply for MSc in Norway. However, I have a concern, I would like to know if having MSc from Nigeria will add more point to MSc application in Norway?

This is because, the school programme at university of Oslo I will be applying to has 26 slots for their masters programme.

It's advisable to submit all Documents but Marriage certificate and Affidavit should suffice

From my research intentionally stating you on an existing master's or having intention to do another master's deplicts to them as an indecisive and confused person, I would advice you don't mention it as that would actually reduce your admissibility rather than increase it.
