Official Youth Democratic Party Thread: Discussions And Suggestions by ePoster: 10:34pm On Oct 24, 2020
I'm not sure if there is any thread on this section to adress the issue. So I decided to create this...
A lot has happened since the #endsars protest. From peaceful marches and prayer walks to burning of government and private owned buildings and even looting of cacovid palliatives meant for the masses, stored in warehouses around the country.
The recent events have been an eye-opener for the youths. Most of whom have clamoured for the registration of a political party for the young people of Nigeria.
Anyone with suggestions can drop them here. As the nation's largest online community, whatever is discussed here would help create more awareness on the topic.

Most youths are just going there to go and enrich them selves and their family members.

An average Nigerian thinks of himself first before the general public.

Forget it.
Nothing good can happen to Nigeria under the 1999 Constitution
The only demand of the EndSARS protest should be a NEW CONSTITUITION.

Seriously? So the whole idea doesn't make much sense? A new constitution would be more difficult to achieve. Asking the current politicians to scrap most of the laws that aid their 'activities', would seem to many as far-fetched.

The system is rigged against the people.

That is how we end up with Buhari Tinubu Akpabio Okorocha Kalu Etc.

If you have revolutionary ideas to change things, the structure is put in place to snuff you out quickly.

I agree. The Youth Democratic Party ish, seems like the appropriate place to start from.
The main problem, with the idea is that few youths are psychologically capable of being ideal leaders. Majority are products of a failed nation. From being Internet fraudsters to kidnappers and human ritualist, how many young people would act accordingly if they found themselves in any political position?

I think the party constitution should have an age brackets for her members.
Anyone older than 50 years should be disqualified from being a member

Agreed... Imagine voting an eighty something man to rule a country where majority of it's citizens are under 35yrs old. None of use would let him be the CEO of our company or security guard to a property we own. Yet he's the President and Commander in Chief.

But Donald Trump is 70 something. Age does not really matter. Nigerians should vote competent leaders. Shebe Yahya Bello is not a youth abi.. The people that brought this country to its knees are even youths. The Gowon's, The Obasanjos, The Buharis, The IBBs. Leadership needs vast knowledge and experience. Not SUG style of leadership. A youth to rule this Nation is a NO NO for me. Not with the breed of youths this days, they are even worse than our predecessors. A large number of them Cultists, Fraudsters, Hoodlums.. NEVER!!!

So you greedy youths want to form a party so you can loot Nigeria dry abi. Inasmuch as I was against this ENDSARS protest, it has sure gained one thing; our leaders will sit tight now because they know its no longer business as usual. So, you all should go to your constituents, elect leaders of good repute, not 'chop and clean mouth' politicians. Whether APC or PDP. A party is just a vehicle; a party cannot change a bad person. Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln were not youths and they came off as great leaders.

Which Majority? When common protest you guys couldn't gain control of the protesters leading to destruction of lives and properties. We have youths in Government. What is their impart??

Share the money and behave arrogantly. Rubbing it on everyone's faces. My State for example. The best leaders that ruled were actually not youths. The only youth that ruled looted the state dry and was unable to erect a single structure.

Lol. God forbid bad thing . They are not any better. They are worse. They nothing about governance. This guy beat up a woman in the sex shop. This is something that an old leader can never do. They loot like every other but they don't rub it on people's faces.

P.S. He was even given an award for compassion

Re: Official Youth Democratic Party Thread: Discussions And Suggestions by Ose55(f): 9:29am On Oct 27, 2020
Youths know nothing about governance
They dont have the capacity
They don't have the patience

All they know is Nigeria get money. Leaders dey chop. What is the IGR of Nigeria they dont know. Nigeria needs a visionary leader and not some Ex- SUG president. Dem think say na be to dey shout END SARS con dey loot join. Dino Melaye protest pass all of una put together. When he got power what did he do, na drip way e con dey.

So, what am I saying in essence is that we should elect leaders that have the capacity, the experience and the blueprint of what and how they will achieve it and not some premises..
