Litmus:
Some idiotic Nigerians think the West is looking on and applauding. But actually the West, especially America hate, really hate looters. If all the poor in Nigeria were on a list of those America was looking to give visa or take in as poor persecuted people, not one individual involved in looting would be taking. Nigerians on the ground able to read something like this better rethink. America admires poor honest, hard working people. That poor Nigerian ballet dancer, kids striving to clean their dirty environment, kids studying hard near to mud and excreta are the types of poor America admires or would accepts into America.

Contrary to that which anonymous persons online would have Nigerians believe, America does not hate Nigerians Americans liked Nigerians because Nigerians are or were strivers, people that succeed through hard work and determination in spite of the odds. These looting spectacles in Nigeria hurt the poor more than they know. It is damaging the reputation of poor Nigerians.

The external audience you’re playing too are very observant. You can’t fool them by acting as if you were taking what belonged to you last week evident in looting Covid palliatives today.
Litmus, I think you need to get a cerebral Litmus test.

Which audience is who playing to. They said people are hungry and desperate, this one is saying once upon a time in America.

America is not God, let them go and sit down somewhere with that mentally unstable train wreck of a president they have. Other advanced western nations no longer respect America anyway so who cares what that white supremacist fachist shithole thinks. America is riding on past glory.

Most of these Nigerians emptying warehouses will never qualify for American visa anyway. Even middle and upper middle class Nigerians are denied American visa daily in Nigeria. White Americans don't want to share a country with non-white people anyway and they have made that very clear from time immemorial with what they did to Native Americans and Black Americans.

The average white American no send any Black person message so stop being a coon and sucking honkey's diseased balls. It won't get you anywhere.
Many of those looting have put their hopes in the West, whether in the West coming to save them at some point, the West as role model for what they want in Nigeria, or the West as place they will run to in future. Many Diaspora Nigerians made a great deal about the West watching and much of their appeal has been to the West.

America is the West to many of these people and in many ways they are right since significant amount of European nations have similar views and philosophise to America.

The difficulties of attaining American citizenship that you pointed out are partly my point. You overlooked that many of these people are ignorant of this and do believe somehow America will be salvation in one way or another.

Some persons keep boastfully shouting that the Zoo is finished without informing the Zoo animals of their likely fate in the event.

Healthy Zoo animals (equivalent to the rich and middle class) find homes in better Zoos. The remaining animals are put down.

Even before the Internet and social media age of instant video uploads and mobile phones, significant mass protest participants around the world were aware of the world eyes on their issues. Sixties protest movement exemplifies this, from Vietnam War to the civil rights marches. Even in the 1900 to 1910, the suffragettes were keenly aware how what they did played out to the wider nation and world (rest of Europe) because of the media (news papers). African Americans and the suffragettes could not hope to influence government policies without believing that their protests and civil disobedience would receive worldwide attention that hopefully caused their goverment embarrassment.

The same America where there was massive looting during the BLM protests of George Floyd. Same lootings during the Mike Brown police killing protests and massive Baltimore looting of another black man killed by police. Keep deceiving yourself with your America hate looters narrative. We are talking about fundamentally changing Nigeria, this one is talking about American visa and who America will take in for asylum, would America be able to take even %5 of Nigeria 200 million population? At least Nigerians were looting primarily food but the Americans were looting liquor, clothes, sneakers, television etc.

Of course bro. Those who put their lives on the line did so because they genuinely believed in us. They believed that even though they sacrificed themselves, the living, to whom they have passed on the baton, will achieve victory for this generation and subsequent.

This is a golden chance and the government is already roped and shamed worldwide like never before... ranging from the lekki killings to broad daylight use of thugs, to failed attempts to divide the south, to hidden palliatives, down right to IPOB breathing down fire on SE govs and the exposure of SARS killers and their dens.

This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity came in the most improbable conditions: a rare pandemic and long lockdown, absence of distraction of BBN, ASUU strike...

Finally, we have to realise the depth of evil with our leaders. No backing down. It has to actually develop into a revolution because that is how great countries of today came about. We complain and complain, 'no light o, no good roads o, sars killed us o'... Are we ready to do what must be done? The answer is 'yes'. End of story. We can't be crying forever. Ghana at one time was terrible but what was done had to be done but today even Ghana is embarassing our country men; that says it all.

Curfew called off, we occupy. Iya la iya nwon! angry

When an individual takes more than one bag he's not cheating a politician he's cheating other poor people cos it means the quantity available will only get to fewer poor people! undecided

I doubt if that clown has ever been to the US before with the rubbish he posted, same America despite all the social welfare programs still witnessed massive lootings anytime there is a police brutality protest. Someone will sit in Nigeria and be typing rubbish they have no clue about.

Keep watching and you'll see that in the coming month some of these people will make their way to Europe claiming that their lives are in danger from Nigerian authorities due to authorities suspecting that they took part in activities related to the demonstrations. And, though you dispute it, the overriding belief of those that will try this, is that the West looked in sympathy and concern at their plight in Nigeria. But contrary to their belief, and yours it would seem, nations of the West will disregard their own asylum policies, they will look on the migrants as yet another set of people trying to get into Europe. And in the very highest places, officials will be worrying that these people claiming that they are fleeing Nigeria because of possible reprisals, will be potential trouble makers if let into europe.

Someone like DJ Switch, or whatever she is called, will stand better chance of asylum if she wanted it. The rabbles out there stand no chance, especially with all those looting, burning and killing last week.

...the point is not that the looters are dying to get to Europe but that many believe in the back of their minds that the rest of the world is with them. I used immigration in order to show how in a practical way this is not the case.

Covid-19 palliative is provided by the federal government, while CACOVID ( coalition against covid-19 palliative) is provided with the use of money contributed by private individuals and international communities e.g DANGOTE and co.
