And the shooting?

“This was as a result of the violence which led to several police stations being burnt, policemen killed, suspects in police custody released and weapons carted away.

“The situation was fast degenerating into anarchy. It was at this point that LASG requested for the military to intervene in order to restore normalcy.

“The intervention of the military followed all laid down procedures for Internal Security operations and all the soldiers involved acted within the confines of the Rules of Engagement (ROE) for Internal Security operations.

The rioting started after the shooting, not before.

We supposed ask am whether na for Lekki riot and killing dey, make them tell us. Is that where LASG called them to come and "intervene"?

The army said the decision to call the army was because of attacks on police stations on the mainland so they went to the tollgate as directed by the government.

Sanwo-Olu denied sending soldiers to the tollgate now the army is saying the Lagos State government sent them.

Now they also said no civilian was shot so how did they end up in the hospital with bullet wounds? Did they shoot themselves?

See BIG lie told by the NA, that they went there when property were destroyed.
It was after shooting and people were killed that spake the destruction of property.
The whole protest were peaceful in abi-nitio.
There's no need for argument now, he is not afraid of traveling ban, we're going to meet at ICC.
No wounder they find it difficult to defeat Boko Haram, when lies full NA, today they killed scores of Boko Haram, tomorrow NAF bomb Boko Haram hideout etc.

I am beginning to believe the governor of Lagos state . According to the army , he only requested for the army to intervain after the lekki incident ...so the governor was right to say he didn't call in the military during the lekki incident but after it. Let us read with comprehension . The question to ask now is was the military at lekki toll gate on the said day? If the answer is yes, then know that they were their from powers beyond the governor's control .

Same useless man loaded thugs in 3 BRT buses to attack the peaceful protesters and while the the thugs were still attacking, he swiftly came on TV to say he's not aware. He won't escape God's judgement. Now, I'm vindicated

You are vindicated by what you have always wanted to hear.

I'm sure you don't need any evidence or proof for your own prejudiced vindication.

You even make more accusations without any evidence.

You are a lost cause, because your emotions do not allow you to be logical.

immediately the governor denied any casualty from the shooting on a national TV just to paint himself Saint, I knew he is trying hard to defend his action for inviting the army to intervene.
dialogue would have been the best option to quench the already escalated angers. well the deed had been done, now everyone is on a damage control, the NA, Lagos state government are all trying to sell their own side of the story to us.
but I believe there is more to the story than what is already revealed to us.

Corrects.

So if the Nigerian Army is denying firing guns shots that was happening at the protesters at the Lekki toll gate so who was shooting then?

Who also turned out the lights at the Lekki toll gates right before the shooting started?

The Nigerian Army, Sanwo-olu, Tinubu and Buhari are all bad liars and are not doing a good job keeping up with the lies too. angry

Buhari is the chief commander, sanwo olu is the chief invitee while tinubu chief director.

Buhari Tinubu and sanwo olu must face ICC for the attrocities, massacre and genocide they have committed.
May the blood of innocent civilians continue to follow them till eternity.

Same army that said they are not present at Lekki toll gate not to talk of shooting at the protesters,
Same Government that said they did not call for military backup to despise the protesters, hmm God is watching.
You didn't read the post o. They have maintained they were never at the toll-gate.
For me, with the way this is going, what it means is that there must've been so more deaths than has been confirmed so far. Just in line with what Amnesty International said. Since they came mysteriously, they may've mysteriously made away with some bodies and this also explains why the lights were turned off.

Nemere2020:
BREAKING: Army denies shooting #EndSARS protesters

The 81 Division of the Nigerian Army (NA) has denied allegation soldiers opened fire on #ENDSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Plaza last Tuesday.

In a statement by the Acting Director Army Public Relations (ADPR), Major Osoba Olaniyi, the Division however confirmed the involvement of soldiers in restoring order in Lagos following the declaration of curfew by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The Nation reports this is the first time the division is speaking about the incident that occurred last week.

It said: “The attention of Headquarters 81 Division Nigerian Army has been drawn to a viral video on social media in which it was alleged that civilian protesters were massacred by soldiers at Lekki Toll Plaza. This allegation is untrue, unfounded and aimed at causing anarchy in the country.

“At no time did soldiers of the Nigerian Army open fire on any civilian. From the onset of the ENDSARS protest, there was no time personnel of 81 Division Nigerian Army Lagos were involved.

“However, the decision to call in the military was taken by the Lagos State Government (LASG) after a 24- hour curfew was imposed.

“Finally, Headquarters 81 Division Nigerian Army reiterates Nigerian Army in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities did not shoot at any civilian as there are glaring and convincing evidence to attest to this fact.

“This allegation is the hand work of mischief makers who will stop at nothing to tarnish the image of the Nigerian Army. The general public is hereby enjoined to discountenance this allegation as there is no iota of truth therein.”

They are both denying it. ..
Imagine attack on police stations on "mainland" and the army went to tollgate , so is Tollgate Island or Mainland . Mainland where precisely?
Also the attack started after the shooting and when the political thugs hijacked the protest. Initially the youths were having fun , singing , dancing etc
Also these blame game will not stop .. maybe Sanwoolu should just compensate businesses that were destroyed.
