Good morning all,
Please, can somebody share a link for approved and delayed visas? I know it has been shared before, but am having a hard time locating it on the thread. Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,

On my I20, my program starts 11th of January 2021. Earliest date of arrival on my I20 is equally 12th December 2020.

While filling my DS160, I was asked if I have made travel plans which I ticked no. However, there was another question that ask for the expected day of coming to the US (can't remember the exact lines). For this, I put in 23rd of December 2020.

Now, is it possible I travel before then? Maybe 15th. I heard it's not possible.

My program already started online, actually doing midterm exams already. Appointment date is for Abuja in March 2021 , I was wondering if the emergency appointments are still being given,i dont mind requesting for one in Lagos or Abuja, just so I can meet the January 10 spring semester resumption. Has anyone applied for these appointments in most recent times(I saw someone post that there are no more emergency appointments, dont know how valid that is). If yes kindly share the mail to request this appointments. Thanks

Go to your appointment login page, click on emergency request.
You will need to provide evidence of sevis payment.
The earliest date available for emergency as at 2minutes ago when I checked is 4th of January 2021.

Goodluck.

Lagos.

Those people have not secured any date at all. You must have an ordinary appointment scheduled first before you can use the emergency I guess.

It's very possible to travel before the time you submitted for intended date of arrival so far it is within the 30 days period entry.

Honestly childcare is not an easy something if you are not staying where families are or at least were fellow Nigerians are especially if you are not working. Baltimore for instant is difficult to find a daycare less than $200 for an infant. The younger they are the more you pay.

zeeLady:
Its so hard for me honestly but I wouldnt have it any other way. I couldnt have left my baby, she was only about three months old then. Please be sure you have finances oooo even if you have full funding. If the child is above 4 years old, then you MAY get free school, but if the child is less than 4 years old, the money you will pay eh can drive someone mad (something like $220 weekly, in bigger cities it reaches and exceeds $500 weekly).
If your school is in a city where you have family, then the better for you. I didnt have the advantage of family but the church i attend is predomimnatly white people and luckily for me, all of the people i have been meeting in the church are the nicest crop of people on earth. For reasons i dont know, elderly people were becoming my friends more and from that circle, i have been able to get childcare for free including weekends, when i need them. They have become family. If you ever get to come with your baby, hit me up for more info. Take care. Also bear in mind that your husband getting F2/B is not automatic ooooo.

To the F2 applicants in the house and others who have an idea about this.
Kindly guide me on whose details needs to be here.
That of the F1 holder or the F2 applicant?

Thank you.

F2 applicants also have sevis ID. You enter that and the school name. Principal applicant is F1

If it's Abuja, you can request for emergency appointment on your page don't forget to attach your sevis receipt and i-20. Although it may take up to #weeks but they will still reply either accepted or rejected
Best of luck

You need to write TOEFL and score at least 79 to be qualified for an assistantship at this institution.

Yeah, F2 applicant also has a SEVIS Number, and that's exactly what is getting me confused if the SEVIS Number required in this case should be that of the F2 or the F1 holder.

I think you should have gotten a mail now.

Is there anyone that did theirs on the 13th of October and got their Visa?

Have you received any mail regarding pick up?

Any update?

Good morning bosses in the house.

I have been admitted to Arizona State University, Accountancy (BS), W. P. Carey School of Business, Tempe for Spring 2021.

How do I go about requesting an electronically sent I-20?

Secondly, how do I go about applying for financial aid?

Kindly send a mail to the International Students office of your institution.

Secondly, send a mail to your program director. They are in the best position to guide you.

Hello, are you saying that it is only those in Abuja that can request for emergency appointment via the application page?
My location is lagos and i applied for the emergency request via the page 2 days ago and haven't gotten any mail yet from the lagos embassy.
Is this likely because I submitted the request via the page ?
Secondly, roughly how long would it take for them to get back?

You can only refresh the page I think 5 times per day, after the 5th time you have to wait till the next day to try again.

With that said you have to time yourself. You can check it once in the morning, try again around 12 pm and again around 4 pm then by 8 pm daily until you see a date you can pick from.

And yes I think they are back to the normal process of picking a date first as I got an email from them some time ago stating they won't be attending to emergency student visa of filling the google doc form again.
what is the earliest date like now ?

Has your US visa ever been cancelled? Not sure about this answer on the DS-160. I ve had an expired b1 visa stamped cancelled without prejudice when i was reapplying for another one. So should this be a yes or no?confused.

In case the request was rejected, what would the person have to do to secure a date before January?
