With a military like this, you just wish the enemy will attack you, so you can respond with a downpour of bleeding lead! grin grin

US troops patrol in Syria
US troops and Close are support are like 5&6
They can hardly fight like 2hrs or less without the A10 showing up..
I watched a lot of doc on US operations in Afghanistan and Syria and Iraq..
If it's not the A10 it's F16 or F15
Even watched when an F16 missed target on Two Taliban terrorist..

The US military must provide air superiority that guarantees American ground forces freedom to attack and freedom from attack.

Air superiority is fundamental to the American way of war. Without it, the US military does not deploy.

This is why they continue to invest heavily in top of the line air support.

Not even the Russians can compete, hence they invest in SAM systems.

What relevance does your deluded opinion have with the subject?

Apparently you may be suffering from the late stages of dementi.a. to imply delusion and yet ask questions of the 'deluded'. Your compatriots have since been blown into oblivion sparing you but might not be so for long if you don't behave accordingly that also goes for your Naija co-conspirator bent on sabotaging matters of prestige for the Fatherland duly won in blood.

Graphic Picture Warning

Nigerian army scored some big success against the terrorists.

Unfortunately a Nigerian made military vehicle is part of the casualties.

Hope one day in the not so distant future Nigeria succesfully degrades these terrorists. Shouldn't have to deal with this. Its Nigeria for fcsks sake, not CAR or Chad.

We hope to end this war soon, but we are not under any delusions, it would not be easy, especially for a country like Nigeria.

Otokar to deliver ARMA 8×8 and Cobra II armored to African country

Turkish Company Otokar has signed a new export contract with an undisclosed African client for the delivery of Arma 8×8 and Cobra II 4×4 tactical wheeled armored vehicles, as well as spare parts and training services.

This Otokar says is the first export contract for the Otokar Arma 8×8 armored vehicle to an African country, and delivery is slated for early 2021 and will be completed by the end of 2022.

JUST IN: Recent elimination of a huge number of #BokoHaram & #ISWAP commanders & fighters by Nigerian Army & NAF ground & aerial Ops across #LakeChad basin borders, #SambisaForest & #Mandaramountain has reduced the capacity of terrorists to a desperate level of bare survival.

That is the downside of having an Army air corps.

Though troops need air support, that capability must reside with the NAF. If you give army commanders direct control of air assets, watch them abuse it, even for the smallest battles.

If we look at the region across our border, up to Algeria, Tunisia and Libya, they are all hot bed for extreme religious activities, exacerbated by very low economic activities & climate change, the porousness of the border and the general vastness of the region.

It won't be easy to eradicate terrorism in that region, but we can reduce it.

Tunisia is the likely destination. They have Otokar Cobra's in service and use a lot of Turkish ground vehicles.

actually no I don't think its Tunisia because they don't have the cobra in service they only tested it and acquired the Ejder instead

If it's not Tunisia, then it's Rwanda.

Ghana is out of it, although Ghana has Cobra II's in service, they have recently signed a contract with Elbit systems of Israel, who are offering the Sentinel II 8x8.

I also don't see Elbit & Otokar working together, giving the current political climate.

Nigeria is out of it also, we are getting armoured fighting vehicles from China, Light armour from South-Korea and MRAPs from Nigeria.

This leaves out Rwanda as the most likely destination outside Tunisia.

Since Tunisia doesn't use the Cobra, it definitely has to be Rwanda.

Makes a lot of sense Ghana has the otoka cobra ll already so it could be them.
Ethiopia is also expanding their amoury because of the head on threats with Egypt about the dam on the Nile.

Apparently they tested both cobra 1 and Cobra II. It's the Cobra 1 they rejected. My money is still on Tunisia. Anyway, we'll know soon enough.

Ghana just contracted with the Israelis for the 8x8 platform, so not them. Ethiopia is at loggerheads with Turkey over Ankara's push into Somalia.

*WAR ON TERROR, ANTI BANDITRY OPERATIONS: Gen Buratai Tours Command Engineering Depot Kaduna*

1. The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai was at Command Engineering Depot, kaduna on Friday the 30th of October 2020 on a working tour, where he inspected 5 pieces of additional newly manufactured Nigerian Army (NA) constructed Mines Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles (MRAPs) and to assess the ongoing production of new ones. He was conducted round the Depot by the Commander, Major General Sunday Araoye and Director General Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria, Major General Victor Ezugwu, where he also inspected the repairs of damaged/malfunctioned and backloaded Armoured Personnel Carriers, troops carrying vehicles and other combat vehicles. Both the new and the repaired MRAPs, Armoured Personnel Careers, as well as the repaired troops' carrying vehicles were test driven and have proven to be in good working condition.

2. While briefing the Chief of Army Staff at the Depot's Smart Factory, the Commandant said that a state of the art 3D printing machine for vehicles' parts and medical implants has been installed. "We have also manufactured a surveillance vehicle with drone attached to it to enhance NA's operations", he said.

3. After the tour of the facility, members of the press were briefed by the Acting Director of the Nigerian Army Public Relations, Colonel Sagir Musa who said that the construction and repairs of the MRAPs, troops' carrying vehicles and other combat equipment as well as the manufacturing of 12.7mm anti aircraft guns and repairs of backloaded ones by the Depot has proven to be impactful and combat multipliers for the ongoing war against insurgency and anti banditry operations in the north east and north western parts of Nigeria.

4. Sagir said "The initiative and efforts of the NA in this regard, has proven to be a force multiplier and very effective in the various
theatres of Operations in the fight against terrorism in the north east and anti banditry operations in the north west". "The effort of the NA in this regard has so far saved Nigeria billions of Naira that could have been used for the procurement of these military hardware and equipment" he further said.

5. The Army Chief has expressed satisfaction with the level of progress made so far. He enjoined officers, soldiers and civilian staff of the Depot to upscale the level of achievements recorded, Sagir added.
