1. For my university, there is a yearly advert for promotion. I presume that occurs in other universities as well.

There is a page that had a statement that ' only PhD holders should apply for promotion into Senior Lecturer positions'. I included that page.

2. I included the salary scale of lecturers and indicated the salary I will receive once I get my PhD and become a senior lecturer.

I explained this in my SOP. I also explained that: though the Senior Lecturer salary when converted to CAD is small, it is enough to live comfortably in Nigeria.

Good day everybody,

Am trying to book an upfront medical . Sent mail to IOM and Qlife. They both responded today that the earliest possible date is November 19th, and I should reply with some documents to secure my space .

But have already successfully booked an appointment online with IOM Ikeja for November 4th 10:00am

I don’t know which one is valid now cause I don’t understand them.

Thank you

Hello Salvamania,

Both panel of physicians are okay depending on your route. If you elect to use IOM IKeja please send an mail to iomlagosmedicalbooking@iom.int to book your appointment. They respond to mails. You might not be able to reach them on the phone lines now, i gues due to COVID.
They will respond to your e-mail with instructions on the next step. Please once they have confirmed your appointment date. Make your payment in earnest and go there with your evidence of payment, face mask and copy of your international passport.

From my experience with them, they are swift in sending result to the embassy.

It will end in praise.

SHARING MY STUDY PERMIT APPLICATION APROVAL.

This is my Second Application (Undergraduate Student with five years study gaps)

Timeline
Submission: January 20, 2020
Medical request: February 12, 2020
Request for updated bank statement: February 13, 2020
Request for first year tuition fees: February 13, 2020
Request for updated LOA: February 13, 2020.
Medical passed: February 28, 2020

I raised a webform to the Canadian embassy in Nairobi requesting for an extension for me to be able to meet up with their requirements due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, international transactions was a bit difficult during that period.

Submitted updated acceptance letter via mycic account: March 12, 2020 (there was provision for upload on my portal). It took the school (University of Regina) one month to process a new LOA because I have utilized all my deferral chances.

Paid first year tuition and uploaded proof of payment via webform: May 18, 2020.

After fulfilling all the IRCC requirements it moved to a complete silence that lasted for 3 months. Although, I kept sending follow up emails and webforms to inquire if they recieved the documents I sent to them and whether they require additional documents from me. In all of the enquires (webforms) I sent to them, they only acknowledged one while the rest were generic responses about the impact of COVID-19 in Visa processing. This made me restless because I don't know their next course of action.

Lo and Behold, AIP: August 18, 2020
Requested a GCMS note for me to know the status of my application: August 25, 2020.
Received my GCMS noted stating all the verifications were passed, and I found out that my application has been approved : September 17, 2020.
BVL: October 29, 2020
PPR: October 30, 2020

During the long wait, I always remind myself of his words in - Mark 11:24. “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” I belived firmly and trusted that God was strongly involved in my case.

I would like to use this great opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to an exceptional, hard working, God-fearing and selfless brother (frankrobben) who helped me with getting my visa approval. Frank helped me with the whole process, starting with the robust evaluation of my previous visa refusal, securing admission at University of Regina, laying out all the next steps and helping me throughout each and every part of the process. He addressed all the concerns of the visa officer, shared his expert advice and answered my questions in a timely and respectful manner. I couldn’t imagine doing this without him. God bless you @frankrobbn1

I am grateful to God Almighty for his perfection in my application. Secondly, my appreciation goes to Frank for going out of his way to see that this application was a success.

Let us pray constantly and above all give thanks and praise to GOD, just because HE will not leave us in the midst of trials.

I wish you all a successful application. Like Frank will always say "It will end in praise"

Good day everyone, please I would like to ask a question,I received my PPR on the 22nd of October and I submitted my passport via DHL on Tuesday 27th of October but I didn't receive a letter of acknowledgement from VFS so I decided to mail them today and they replied saying they just got my passport today and gave me tracking number, but after checking my tracking number there was a message saying that they received my passport today and it's in transit and has been dispatched to the IRCC office through the Canada visa application center Lagos office on 30th of October for processing. After using the tracking number to track my passport, the message I saw there was that your processed passport has been received at the Canada visa application center today 30th of October and is ready for collection.please I don't understand and this is the first message I'm receiving from them and it's my first visa application and whereas DHl delivered it to VAC in lekki on the 28th of October.please what should I do and what does this mean

That is an erroneous message that their (VFS Lagos ) system sends to everyone that submitted passport and is tracking same online. A friend had same concern. Give them till Tuesday and make a direct call to know if IRCC has sent it back to them or otherwise. Calm down, please..

What am saying is that I have booked an appointment online with IOM for November 4th

But , another message prior to that booking was that the next available date is November 19th upward

So I don’t know which of the two is valid or what to do next

I think the online booking for 4th November, if already paid for, should be valid. The slot is already locked in for you to either use or waste. The ball is in your court.

hey,

No cause for alarm that was the same message we(paper applicants were receiving when we submitted our application together with our passport)

It’s what supposed to happen
If you aren’t even seeing it self, you should be cared!

Plus it’s an update on where your passport is at the moment.

Congratulations and greater heights!
