It is against ethical policy that you outrightly denigrate a supposedly former party over a perceived favourite one in the course of tendering your resignation irrespective of your politeness as your motive may be wrongly perceived.
If it were to be a formal interview session, you would have failed for suggesting that your former firm is inferior to your prospective one.
