Hello gurus in the house, please I have a question. The last place I worked for up to two years, I can't get a proof of work experience from them. My work experience is supposed to be 3 years plus by December. So I contacted my current employer whom I have been working with for barely 6 months. It's a military agency, they agreed to give me Proof of work experience to cover for my last place of work but they're not willing to state the months I spent there and as well salary paid. They just want to give a letter that I am working there. What do you suggest I do in order to have this almost 2 years plus count for me as I would not want to do anything that will be seen as misinterpretation. Thank you

Very correct analysis. I don't know what the fuss about the new French additional point is. The truth is that most people will still not attain a CLB 7 after one year. Dor most people who attained a CLB 7 under the old regulation and got 30 extra points would already be in their high 480s or 490s. At that point, 20 extra points are inconsequential, except the person is already past 40 years old. Summarily, nothing really changes due to the new French extra points.
abnot:

It depends. There are a lot of people on 468, 469 and 470 who were hoping to get invited on wednesday. This category of people may have to wait longer.
Then there are a few between 472 and 475 who were sure that an invitation will be extended to them. This category of people will be the most affected because a one month delay in draw will likely move the cut-off from 471 to 472.

Thirdly the number of French proficient speakers in the pool with a CRS score of between 460 and 470 will be a major determinant as these applicants will receive 10 extra points which will place them in the range of 470 to 480. In 2019 there were 9450 french proficient applicants out of 213000 applicants which constituted 3.8% of the pool. Same in 2018 (3.6% of pool were french proficient). If that feat continues the number of french proficient candidates in the pool will not significantly change the cut-off score in the short term .

Lastly for bilinguals, with or without this change most bilinguals score above 470 and may have already been invited.

In summary a safe CRS in the short-term could be anything from 475 . This is just my guess based on the limited data available online

I don’t think it would work becos IRCC will request for pay slip and bank statement for those periods. Letter won’t cover it. I’ll advise you to use the current one and build up at least a year of experience.

Good day everyone, please I’m new here. I come seeking advice as I am presently very confused on what discussion and path to follow. At first the plan was just SINP my husband was the one in the pool, but that route started taking forever (Covid19) and all. I decided since I was almost done with my masters program, and below 30 to go for express entry. I wrote the IELT exam and had a Band 8, using the cic calculator my point is presently at 481.

Out of nowhere SINP had a draw and sent my husband an ITA, honestly at point we are really confused. Now my issue is I can’t join the pool immediately because my Wes verification is in process, not yet completed. With this new french part way what if the scores starts skyrocketing? I understand 481 is a high score but with this EE nothing is predictable.

Our SINP nomination will expire first week of December, Please if I were a close friend or sister what would you advice me to do? Should we go ahead with the one we already have at hand? Should I wait for my Wes I’m hopeful it will be completed by the ending of November.

I’m honestly in a fix and really confused. Please advice me accordingly. God bless

SINP usually takes about 4 - 6 months to process application pre-Covid 19 but now it is even longer processing time, so your husband can submit application now and hope that you ECA will be ready before they conclude his application and once you get the EE ITA then he can email SINP to withdraw his application in which case he may or may not loss the $350 application fee depending on the processing stage at the time a withdrawal notice was received by SINP.

Or
If your ECA completion time is before his SINP ITA expiration date, then you guys can wait a little while to see if your ECA will be in early enough to reject the SINP ITA after your EE ITA is sent. I will suggest you go with the first option and submit the SINP application, then skip some pages of the passport to create further delay within which your EE ITA would have landed and then withdraw the sinp application.

Please, clarify if your husband has got the nomination, and if the expiry date of 1st week in December is related to the expiry/maturity date of the nomination (the initial nomination can always be renewed within few months of issuance if for any good reasons one is unable to submit application to Federal Express Entry).

If above is the case, try get your verification concluded by next week so your evaluation could be completed in time for you to receive ITA before the current nomination expires.

Alternatively, your husband can accept the nomination, and get the Express Entry ITA. There's grace period to submit the application, and within that period, if you got your ITA, your husband can cancel his accepted ITA and you accept yours.

If all required documents are available for either of you being the PA, you can review the pros and cons of being a provincial nominee (commitment to live in the nominated province) or Federal Skilled Worker class where you you choose to live and move between provinces.

However, if what your husband has is SINP ITA to submit documents. Then, as suggested by others, your husband should get all required documents complete (please no incomplete documentation as that may be a basis for rejection) and submit. There's a good chance you will get your ITA regardless of the additional points for French language applicants. Then, refer to the bolded paragraph above as your family can only loose $350 only.

Chai... took my wife to Abuja idp centre now and I can count at least 12,000 people for the test grin grin grin.... I guessed the cancellation of last week test contributed to this crowd. In any case, more people are writing the test now as Nigeria situation is becoming more hopeless, if you're still thinking whether you should start or not, now is the time to kick start the process.. but the draw that was not held hit me sha, I'm at 442 at the moment and wifey will shoot it to 462 in 2 weeks time.... I was hoping to write and max out 2 other components to be at 468 before my b'day on 8th December. Make I chill sha and see if 468 will be enough to get ITA before December 8 if not wifey must max out so that she will be the PA. This people dey make money ooo, imagine 75k per head... please who has succefully evaluated LLB with IQAS post covid? I need to reevaluate my wife's LLB in case she might be the primary applicant
