I have issues with canada because of the band 8 in IELTS required for me to even reach 471 points and its most likely going to go up with the way people want to write the exam now.

PGD is not a PhD its barely a full masters. its just the same point with a professional masters like MBA not even a academic degree

But i also have google digital skills certificate , hubspot email marketing certificate
i even have SAP Materials Management certification that i havent used....no mind me i just gather certificate anyhow
Pgd is just a Graduate Diploma for Australia migration.
If you have plans to leave country, you will be better off getting the IELTS band and facing Canada squarely

Go to ANZCOSEARCH, search for civil engineering and go through the backlog, and you will see those that have express interest for 189, States and Regional areas. This will give you an insight of the number of people on the queue, those that have more points than you and those invited in the last 3months.
The first screenshots is EOI points (190) for civil engineering as at today while the second one is total number of EOI for each states and ACT.

Try Canada, you have what it takes.

quote author=tunlex01 post=95412483]

All marketing occupations are level 1 which means your degree from Lasu cannot assess them. Now that you have an MBA, all your 8 years experience will not be approved so you are gonna lose experience point.
In addition, Vetassess requires at least 1 year experience for assessment which you do not have as your recent degree is 2020.

Your spouse is also in an occupation not being nominated for candidates offshore.
My advice, check the occupation list to see if there is any occupation you can nominate.

If your spouse can also get an internal redeployment or keep applying to big fours in Australia, she may be lucky. [/quote]

I can't give an authoritative advice on the English test. Some find PTE easier than IELTS while others think IELTS is the best thing after Agege bread cheesy. It is up to you to decide which suits you. I only wrote IELTS, so I have no idea about the structure of PTE.

Yes, I will advice you both do assessments and write the exam to boost each other's points (partner's points).

Go to ACS website (Australian Computer Society), you will find information on documents required and steps to submitting your skills assessment.

NB: you should consider another occupation closely related to system administrator. This is because prior to COVID trouble, only ACT was nominating it and may likely remove when full nomination process starts. Look for closely related occupation that is nominated by at least three states to give you options.

Thanks for your response. I won't pick system administrator, I will likely pick 263212 ICT SUPPORT ENGINEER. I still have a long way to go though. Still need to process my transcript to submit to ACS and I don't know how long oou will process it especially now that there is COVID

Please does TRA do experience in lieu of qualification??
bellong:

Account manager is not same as an economist. You have to compare your job descriptions with closely related occupation on the list to nominate an occupation.

Furthermore, your years of experience will be counted post qualification. VETASSES does not do experience in lieu of qualification.

tunlex01:

Your Unilag degree will give 15 point however you can't have 6 years experience when your BSc is 2018. Vetassess only considers post qualification experience.
Your English result too is good if you have 7 in EACH band.
Visit www.vetassess.com.au to review the requirements to assess as an Economist if you are sure your job role fits that of an economist.

For Vetassess assessment, you will need a reference letter which must detail your job descriptions. This is the major document that determines a positive assessmrnt with Vetassess and ensure your job descriptions fit. You can check on on Australia's job websites such as seek.com.au or au.indeed.com to review job roles of an Economist.

Good luck.

You can always ask your questions here.

People can travel within 25km radius of their home. You can now receive some number of visitors in your house and can start to work from office provided the company can stick to the social distance protocol and other COVID protocols.

Oh that's interesting!

Hello all,

I submitted an EOI in April this year which I updated with additional points for English last month. I am presently doing a Masters in a UK university (started early this month). Am I supposed to update my EOI with this information? I am projected to complete the Masters in September 2021.

@Tunlex01, @Bellong for your kind attention. Thanks.

If you have a copy of your transcript, you can upload it along with other documents. ACS does not require that your institution send the transcript directly to them like VETASSES does.

Read the first page of the thread. Meanwhile, it is not straightforward for optometrist. Go through the requirements on the assessing body's website.

NO they don't. You must have both qualification and experience that are closely related.

You don't need to update the information because it will add no point. If it were a completed qualification, you may need to update depending on your circumstance.

Internal control/Accountant is not the same with External auditor.
Also, Accountant, External auditors or similar roles are not hot cake for offshore nomination due to increased number of applicants onshore.

Your spouse can assess as a restaurant manager if he/she has enough experience.

That is the real problem. I have never requested for my transcript before, I just requested now and was told it would take a while before it would be delivered. I am using my husband's company as the organisation so I can have a copy.

I also saw that ACS will collect $500 for the assessment, oluwa mi, that is on the high O. Anyways, waiting for my transcript first.

What do I need to get from my former employees or do I just submit my CV to ACS?

Sorry for so many questions jare

Good day to you and other bosses in the house. I have been trying to post a comment from a comment@ Oga Tunlex01 responded to but my quote will just disappear.

Hope I am not banned from posting a comment here.
I really need help and guidance to make a good decision concerning this Aussie movement.

You can find the information you need for assessments on the ACS website: https://www.acs.org.au/msa/information-for-applicants.html

Scroll to the bottom left where you'll see a bunch of links that will point you in the right direction.

Hello,

I have been reading through the thread for some time and still not sure how to go about the process.

My spouse and I with our 2 kids are planning to relocate, we thought of Canada initially but Canada is on the lips of everybody and hence might be highly competitive, hence Australia. We are also open to suggestions based on our unique situation. I am just lost on where and how to start and what are our chances?

Hello everyone. I'm currently working here in Nigeria and I'm also doing an online program to secure an MBA degree with a school in London. I've done a lot of research online and I realized that Australia pays better than London. I don't like Canada because of the cold. I'm yet to complete my MBA program but I want to migrate to Australia and continue the program. Please what's the best way to do this. What's the easiest way to get a work visa in Australia. I've been applying online via seek.com but I haven't gotten any positive response since I don't have a Visa . I feel the whole IELTS thing is a long process and it's not even certain that I'll get It. Please I need advice. I work in the banking industry

Wow!!

I love your profile Ma'am smiley

The gurus in the house will arrive to do justice soon.

Engineering project management is an exciting journey(recessionproof) and I'm just starting out my career in that route.

There will always be job availability in that industry as the western government always invest in infrastructure, even in an economic downturn.

You won't go wrong if you choose either Australia or Canada.
