I am a guy that is very prudent with my finances. When I see guys buying things unnecessarily and chilling and living their lives especially when they spend anyhow on girls.I use to call them fools. I avoided having a girlfriend so I won't be spending thinking am smart. So as Usual thinking am smart I decided to make a couple of investment and boom I lost money in the investment. Now this got me thinking won't it have been better if I had enjoyed the money. Chop life and buy some nice clothings. I don't indulge in many stuffs due to wanting to save money. I am in my mid 20s and I earn 150k monthly but if you see me you will think I don't work. I am confused I don't know if I should continue doing akagum or start living the life. Funny enough my mum who usually advise us to save was even telling me one day that she hope I won't end up being a slave to money. This one that all the investment am putting money into just they enter voicemail. The most annoying thing is sometimes one useless thing will just come and chop the money person no one spend. what do you think?

I would say create a balance between enjoying life and saving. What is the use of making money in this world and not enjoying some of it? Of course planning for the future is wise but you should pamper yourself and give yourself a treat once in a while.

This is what I personally do. I usually set aside a reasonable sum of money, more like a percentage of my salary every month for saving and then I enjoy myself within the limits of what I've decided to spend, including charity, personal needs, outings etc.

Problems will never expire on earth. Already you are good at saving and making good financial decisions but a little enjoyment once in a while won't hurt.

Sorry about your loss. As the French will say, c'est la vie (that is life). Maybe that's God's way of telling you to loosen up and have a bit of fun. Blessings
