Okay I will do this right away, I applied March 24, got AIP 6th Aug and since then no update. Please when did you apply?

I applied on May 17th. Last week, I sent three webforms to Beijing. Someone suggested that I should write a letter, sign it and then attach as a PDF in the webform. You could try that too. I learnt it makes them treat your webform request faster. The person could be wrong but the last webform I sent was on Friday and I got BVL this morning.

Oh are you saying the last webform you sent included the letter thingy?

Hello Rebecausoro, what's the content of the letter you attached, please.

It was a plea for priority processing of my application. I gave reasons why I need priority processing. The letter was addressed to the Visa Officer, Embassy of China (and their address).

I also did another one for Nairobi too.

I am not a guru, the notes look confusing. Did you apply with Bsc or HND? I think your previous course does not fit into the PG cert and perhaps the PG cert course you going for looks harder. I can't say.
Can you give more details like your previous course, the PG cert you are going for, former grade, working experience if applicable, any study gaps?

This will help

Our month of PRAISE
Honorable Nairaluck,

You might need to be patient

Reasons are:

August 31 till today (2nd November) shows your application is still within the STANDARD PROCESSING TIME , that's 9 weeks.

The present Processing time for application done from NIGERIA is 15 weeks (See Screenshot). And they seem to av been maintaining this processing time on their website unlike bfor where in a day we would see 35 weeks, the next day 25 weeks. Keeps Fluctuating with Unrealistic Processing Time.

So 15 weeks from AUGUST 31 is 14 December , 2020, hopefully u should av gotten a Favorable response from IRCC by then, if nothing comes from them starting from 14 December upward, then you can send Webforms to them that your application has exceeded Standard Processing Time.

It will end in PRAISES!!!!

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Nobody: 12:16pm On Nov 02, 2020
Very confusing.
My previous course is a BS.C in Computer Sciences. Second class lower
Proposed course is in Cybersecurity
Less than a year work experience as my graduation date was December 2019.
I have no study gaps.

Stop applying for Canadian Visa .

Update your self academically and find another Country , then apply.

Also be ready to pay school fees anywhere you intend to go ...

I do advise alot of people , it doesn't have to be Canada, You. CAn upgrade and move to Canada.

It is easy to spend 2 years looking for visa to Canada , but you forget that the 2 years you could earn a PGD anywhere else and apply stronger to Canada...

Just a candid advise , don't take it to heart

I feel the visa officer just denied u for denying sake, nothing concrete or serious in his or her assessments, the reason given in GCMS notes are not reasons to deny anyone visa.

Moreso, if u study Computer Science and going for Cyber security then it's an error on the part of the VO to say ur proposed study isn't in line with ur background. Its well....

Hello,
Please with this analysis on processing time what will you advise me to do? I submitted my application on April 9. Didn't hear anything from them till Aug 6 when AIP was issued, then I went for medicals passed medicals, and biometrics was completed on September 1. I was advised to request GCMS notes which I did on October 22, but I know that takes an average of 3 weeks - 35days. Please what else can I do? The waiting period is ..............
If I am supposed to raise a web form please how can I do that?

Do u have any experience in Networking or network security within the less that one year experience.
when did you finish nysc?
On your sop, did you do justice to why you are pursing cybersecurity with a year experience.
did you include any certification to at least show you have interest in the course.
did you mention anything about hometies on your sop.
did you state you are not working?

The vo knows how competitive/ Lucrative cybersecurity is but he wonders you had a low grade, with less than a year experience, which he is yet to know if it was related to computer science and also taking note of the low grade, what have you done tom show genuine interest in cybersecurity.

My experience is in IT support and not specifically Network security.
I am still doing NYSC
Yes I have a certification in Cybersecurity that was referenced in my SOP
I gave my best reasons for why I wanted to study the course, probably wasn’t enough.
My home ties were also mentioned in the SOP.

What changes and additions can be made to address these concerns in my next application?
