Can you show me a 10 year old car that still has lustre?jap or German, anyone.
I was talking from a lustre point of view.

But that doesn't make sense, since an 11-year-old car and a 8-year-old car may be exactly the same.

A 2010 W212 and 2013 W212 are identical, for example. Literally the only exterior difference is the fog light design.

A 2009 and 2019 Maserati Granturismo are identical. Same with the Nissan GTR.

The GLK is now more than 10 years old. I guess it looks awful now? What about the Dodge Challenger? The first-gen Audi A7?

different Foglight, rims, newer paint job, different steering, also slightly different display and buttons on the centre console.
So how are this the same?Don't you see how old the former looks compared to the latter?
Also newer leather in the interior plus fresher interior.
Bros, any 10 year plus car is always an eyesore 90% of the time if you've tasted better.

Wrong. Rims are essentially the same, just that the 2010 I shared doesn't have the AMG package.

See below. 2010 E Class Coupe and 2013 E Class Coupe.

Your 10-year number is completely arbitrary, my man. Why not nine years? Or eleven? You think every car older than
than ten years lacks lustre, well there are people who think that about cars older than three years. Or cars that aren't brand new. Let people buy what they want.

Or you think a 2013 E Class has more lustre than even a 2008 Bentley Continental?

What are you saying?
Bring the sport package 2010 E klass picture na let's compare,so you can continue to see the difference.
Besides the picture you put up there is an E klass coupe and an 013 C class coupe, why?
Look, its a general rule, not a fluctuating one.Any car older than 10 years has lost its lustre due to wear and tear, faded paint, and displeasing interior irrespective of make.
And yes,a 2013 E klass in better than a 08 Bentley.
Depreciation on high end luxury cars is usually worse wink

1. 2010 W212 with AMG package
2. 2013 E Class Coupe

Difference is miniscule.

I'm curious, though. So if I buy a 2009 GLK this year, by next year, it has become lackluster? I dey try understand. Once it's New Year's day in two months time, every car made before 2010 loses its shine.

Wow. shocked

Look at the interior of this E class you put up now(2014+,not 2013 btw)
Also bring the interior of that 2010 and see what I mean.
And also,no be today that 2009 glk cast na,looks super old already.
What's good now is the 2013 glk with circular AC vents.
That's why all these boys keep "upgrading" their cars. grin
Once you buy an old car(10 years+),things like this go dey hungry you couple with wear and tear.

I just showed a 2013 and 2010 E Coupe interior. Difference is completely negligible. Mind you, 2012 was the interior facelift. Major exterior facelift was 2014.

My point stands. 10 years is a completely random number, since a 10 and 9 year old car can very well be the exact same thing. Even 10 and 8. Even 10 and 7 in some cases.

Most changes are cosmetic. The rest is down to maintenence. Worry more about getting a car in good shape.

I love the MT of these cars. A rare gem indeed.

Broda, leave the factory height of your car the way it is o to avoid premium tears.
There's a reason the manufacturersame spent billions of dollars in quality research in German engineering to come up with that calculated height.

If you needed a Mercedes with a higher ground clearance, you should have opted for Mercedes-Benz 911 truck undecided

Scania destroyed that Merc truck, I’ll say 20 extra Hp is very negligible in the grand scheme of things.

The voltage from the battery is normal (12+V) and alternator is working (13-14V) from the readings and an electrician confirmed it independently too. What I seem to have noticed is that, it has never failed to start when it is cold, only when hot and the annoying issue is, all the time I was at a workshop, it started so, they couldn't lay hands on the exact problem. The scan came in clean, not a single light on my dashboard nor any serious error message apart from the ones still there (License plate light sensor even though it's working!).

fuel pump is beginning to fail

Waoh, really? One mechanic is of the opinion that my battery is weak, so I intend using my other car battery to run it tomorrow to acertain that. If it persists, I will ask them to check/change the fuel pump. Thanks for the suggestion bros.

Hello fellow benz user, urgent answer pls,
I got a benz C240 2002 model, which had a fault a month after used, the issue is that it refuse to start, it accepts the key, but not cranking at all. Just before it stop to respond, it doesn't start on first attempt until about 3 or 4 attempts. now it has refused to start. I have used another battery to start no response. All the fuse were tested okay, then I called for scanning but there was no response. the person said the brain box is not responding and not scanning.
pls what could have caused the failure of the car not starting. can the brain box really be the issue?
thanks as you respond to my urgent need

Hello house,
Please who has an idea of the price of an evaporator unit of a 2003 w203 c200?

My AC tech says it may need replacement as freon doesn't last up to two weeks.

Thank you.

May? This is not a may kind of job. It is an 11 hour job that requires the dashboard to be removed completely like below. Did he check the condenser etc to make sure the leak is from the evaporator core??

Yes, others have been checked. I said "may" because I have not totally keyed into his assertion. He said it's definitely the evaporator since all other units are still okay (according to him). Yes I know the dashboard has to be brought down, hence my hesitation to go along with him.

That being said, do you have an idea of how much it costs?

Thank you

Unfortunately yours I don't think is an American model so I have no clue. I can verify with your VIN.
