I tried that as well, it didn't work. The emergency request option is not showing at all.

Good morning guys. Please kindly help me with clarifications on these:

After booking an appointment for April which is the earliest date, I then went ahead to apply for emergency date, filled the form from the link that was emailed to me, then another email came in saying they have discontinued using that form for emergency appointment and gave me another link to do it online, which I did, there’s a space to briefly explain for you should be granted emergency appointment and opportunity to upload documents that can support your case, which i did and I confirmation page saying your application has been submitted. But I never hear from them since yesterday oo, hope I’m still on track, should I still wait for a while for them to get back to me

If am asked on the interview day why this particular school? Please what is the best answer I can give??

If am asked for masters in the U.S and not Nigeria, what is the best answer I can give?

Lastly, I chose DHL office in v.i to pickup my document, what document are these? And am I to submit my international passport to them after my interview or do I have to go submit it before my interview??

Please guys kindly help with the above questions. God bless us all and grant us all our heart desires. Amen!

If approved, your passport will be collected to put visa on it then you will be notified to pick up from the VI DHL pickup branch

Me: 2017

VO: I intend to issue your Visa
Me:, Thank you

VO: here are your documents blah blah blah
Me: Thank you

I noticed my interview was a lot shorter than most other people. I completed my interview before the two people in front of me on the queue.

The Lady that's going for PHD in chemistry (knows a little too much about nanochemistry,  likes mixing chemicals and has never blown up a building), I tried waiting for you but an officer told me to keep moving. I really hope your friend and the third guy with us also got accepted.

I also noticed two things I thought I should share

1. After an applicant answered a question the VO asked, the next thing the VO said was "how long did you practice that speech?". He eventually got the Visa but I believe the VO tried asking questions he wouldn't expect him to have prepared for cause further down the interview, after answering a question, the VO asked whether he prepared that and he was like "NO" and The VO enthusiasticly said "Yeah I like it when we just talk".

2. An applicant who I think was going for Chemistry was asked what "entropy" was. He was also asked which had more entropy between "air" and one other option I didn't hear.

Lastly, I observed there were more acceptance than rejection during my time in the hall.

Hello friend, I think I might have similar issue. I was recently admitted into BGSU for fall 2021 for a full time MBA program. The thing is I do not have funding yet and can’t really say I am sure I will get because nobody has reached out to me yet. Do you mind if we can discuss privately because it looks like you are quite ahead of me. 08132746801

Have you rescheduled or previously canceled this appointment. I got same mail and was able to click on the expedited tab and filled the form. If you have previously done something similar (reschedule or cancel), it may be the reason why.

Hello Everyone,
Congrats to those that got their visas approved and hope everyone is staying stay.
I have a question:
I heard the Immigration Bill (No change of status) Trump passed in 2019 restricts Nigerian Non-immigrant visa holders from changing their status to Immigrant status.
For example: An f1 student or B1/B2 visa cannot fall in love and or get married to a US citizen and eventually apply for and obtain a green card or citizenship while studying in the US?
How true is this?
Can someone please clarify this.
Thank you.

Next time you will get it in Jesus name.
But when asked why the school, your starting shows a desire for "living" in a loving country with a loving environment, and not going for study. You don't put the first thing last!!!
tHe time you should have spent in describing the alignment of a faculty research area with your interest was used 'dilly-dally'.

Hey guys, It’s been a long time coming.

Visa Approved on November 6th, 7AM batch.

This is my third interview, I’d previously been denied twice. This was my easiest and simplest interview, Thank God!

Me: Good morning ( I smiled, even though I was wearing a mask)
VO: Good morning, we’ll start with your finger prints...
VO: what are you going to do in the US?
Me: I’m going for my bachelor’s degree in Biology at Edward Waters College, in Jacksonville Florida.(as calmly and as normal-paced as I could)
VO types for a bit
VO: what course again?
Me: Biology
VO: why Biology
Me: Well, I love Biology (slightly smiled) also, I want to pursue a career in Biomedical research and Biology serves as a great foundational course me me.
VO reads his screen for a longggg time
VO: who’s your sponsor?
Me: I have a full ride scholarship that covers my tuition, accommodation and all.... (pause) plus, My Dad will cover any other expense I might have.
VO typesssssss
VO: I intend to approve your visa, please keep your i20....
Me: Thank you so much.
VO: I wish you good luck, thank you.

One advice I’d give is to sound as natural and sincere as you can. The two VOs kept warning people against reciting crammed speeches or anything from the school website. One of the said ‘have a conversation with me’.

Oh and wear comfortable clothes, I stood for a long time.

Forever grateful to Mr Fairheart, even though I didn’t tell him about today. He helped me the previous times and I'm grateful to everyone on this thread.

God is real and God is good guys! Never doubt it.
I pray you experience his Love and Grace like I have.
