Hello HorlarJP,

It can be that fast, we’ve seen many cases like that. It can also take a time and end up being rejected. There’s no fixed format for it.

Best wishes
HorlarJP:
Good afternoon Y’all here, was reading through the thread and I saw someone who said he applied for the study permit and 5 days later he got a reply that he was denied , is it so fast because I just only did my biometrics on the 5th of November
Thanks

Hi brovaSketch,
I was a self sponsor and I got my PPR. If you can sponsor yourself, it's all well and good.

brovaSketch:
Hello house,

Pls must a student have a sponsor? Everyone here seems to have one sponsor or the other. Doesn't self sponsoring work for study visa?

Thank you JustMellow for your input here. Though I am not in the same situation with NutrieyesK, but I am learning here too, which is the reason why I appreciate this forum. With dual intent here (that is filing for SP and Provincial Nomination at the same time), will NutrieyesK be able to establish 'home ties' which is a requirement when filing for SP ?
Thank you for your anticipated and helpful response.

JustMellow:

Hello NutrieyesK,

Go ahead with your application. Package your SP as an independent application and to meet the requirements. Dual intent is permitted.

All the best

One thing this Study Visa Journey has taught me is PATIENCE

My little advice for TRV hopefuls & Future Applicants

1) I will encourage every applicant to fulfil all righteousness when crafting their Canada study application

Remember "No Two Application is the Same" (there are many factors attached to this statement such as - different academic backgrounds, work experience, Marital Status, the Visa Officers reviewing your application & lots more)

2) Avoid any form of assumption that a Visa Officer won't need this or that, do your due diligence.

3) Show Career/Academic/Logical Progression most especially your Degree/Work Experience should be resonating with the Program you are going for

also,

Show Progression in the qualification of Program you are going for e.g
- B.SC grad (2.1) going for a Masters
- B.SC grad (2.2) & HND grad going for a PGD/PG. Cert/ Post Baccalaureate Diploma

If you have a 2.1 and you want to go for a PG. Cert, endeavor to show cogent reasons in a convincing manner in your SOP why you are going for a PG. Cert instead of a Masters Degree

4)- Assume yourself as a VISA OFFICER, assess your documents, read ur SOP to urself and point out your errors.
- Also regarding ur SOP, avoid any form of Plagiarism to the bearest minimum.
- Show Originality when writing your SOP,
- Be 100% Patriotic - don't say unpleasant things about Nigeria on your SOP, how you can upgrade your career and also help in the improvement of the Nigerian Economy after studying in Canada is very Paramount, talk about it in your SOP.
- Avoid Grammatical Errors in your SOP
- Subheadings Will make your SOP readable, don't write your SOP in Composition/Essay Manner
- Any thing you mention in your SOP, make sure you have a document that confirms it.

5) Read Success Stories of Applicants that have gotten Approval in the Past, most especially from 2018 till date, you might just see an applicant with your exact kind of profile that got approval which u can learn one ot two things from.

6) Also, if you are on the verge of starting or submitting your application, endeavor to ask questions in the forum on things u are not clear of. There are many things you gonna learn here that an agent don't know about or won't even tell you.

If you are an Applicant going for Masters/PH.D, this thread is a training ground for you to learn how to do research before the real research, so don't feel bad if someone tell you to start reading from Page 1, u gonna gain a lot.

7) Take your time and read this Thread Explicitly.
I never had an iota of experience on Canada Study Visa application. Reading this thread in my leisure period for a year helped me tremendously and this made my application strictly DIY (do-it-yourself)

cool Finally,
after Submitting your application, Talk to God to take Control/Charge of your Study Visa Processing, cos in every situation (good or bad) God will still be God.

As we all know the motto of this forum
"it will end in Praises (in frankrobbn's Voice)"

I'm wishing all applicants awaiting a decision from IRCC a FAVORABLE ONE

Remain Blessed Honorable Sir's & Ma's!!!!

Congratulations wish you all best in Canada bro

Good Evening,

The affidavit of support and letter of sponsorship.

Do the courts have their own copy or I need to draft a hard copy and take to them?

Your reply appreciated.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Chocs(f): 8:43pm On Nov 08, 2020
Hello Raalsalghul,

The letter of support is to be written by your sponsor (you can assist). If you want it notarized, you’ll then involve a notary public/court to notarize it for you.

For the affidavit of support, the court has a template.

All the best

Thanks for the amazing compliments about me and best wishes. It couldn't have been made possible without the presence of the honourable members of this platform. So I appreciate you all for the opportunity to contribute my quota on this thread.

In retrospect to your enquiry about financial sponsorship documents to be prepared by the church. I would enumerate the below information;

1. Certificate of Incorporation (shortlisting the names of the Trustees in the church).

2. Letter of Sponsorship.

3. Financial Resources (Six (6) months bank statement of the church).

4. Resolution letter (declaring their awareness and agreement to sponsor your education in Canada).

5. Bank Reference letter supporting the statement of account.

6. Proof that you're a bonafide member of the church (ID card and reference letter from the organization you belong to in the church as well as pictures with your fellow members in the church).

7. Payment of the entire tuition fees from the church bank account, and highlighting the date on the SOA.

8. A domicilary account in your name showing transfer/deposit of equivalent $10,000CAD from the church in support of your annual living expenses.

The above documents should be sufficient to demonstrate their ability to finance your studies in Canada.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out here.

It will end in praise.

@Frankrobbn1

Hello Frank, trust you are fine and staying safe.

Hi Olowoba,

I think it is better you work on this yourself as your statement of purpose has to be your original work as it is your own story so you are in the best position to draft this becuase you have to own it.

The Statement of purpose i have come to realise is a very important document that the Visa Officer reviews very closely to have an overall view of you so i think you should take your time to do this yourself and when done you can private chat any of the gurus in the house to help you review it for you and look for possible loopholes for you to work on so you can finalise on a quality SOP,i will advise you not to rush this part and take your time till you can convince yourself that your SOP is good to go.

All the very best.

Good evening house,

I am writing this with mixed feelings. I applied for a program with NBCC, paid application fee and all after which I realized that the program I applied for was a post-secondary program cause I ready have a Bsc. I immediately went on to apply for a change of course. I later realized that one of the courses to which I applied for a change was not effected, I called the international office and reported it even sent them a voice note to which they acknowledged the receipt. Now I have been offered admission on the course which I asked for a change.
I know that the chances of being rejected on The grounds of lack of academic progression is eminent.

Please gurus in the house, kindly advice and help I any way possible.
Thanks.

I just paid my fees there
You can use fly wire and pay 4 times in naira or go to your bank and pay with cibc but that might take some time because of dollar scarcity. Mine took me 3 weeks before my payment was processed
Went to bank but they said they are not transferring money outside the country for sometime now, my uncle in Canada want to help me pay it there, how do I get Conestoga bank details cos the bank in Canada requires he provide Conestoga College bank details so that he can make the payment there.

So many people have applied to more than one schools in the past. Explore other options, apply to another schools and choose only a school, program, and course that can at least up your chances during visa application.

There is no point having mixed feelings when you have applied to only one schools.

May heaven's provide for you, the finances needed to chart this journey!

Hi,the school does not issue direct bank account details. Your student ID no is the account no for web banking, he can also use his card to make payment via CIBC.
