You know Nigerians cannot lobby their rep to do this yet advocate for this route, are you sincere at all?
The confab resolutions is a document the NASS can look at and pass some of the important resolutions. They can take it as bills proposed by a tink tank group, debate it on their merits and pass it. We do not need to eat yams as if they contain bones! Bottomline is laws are implemented to move the country forward.

On another note, the current NASS came into being by a military imposed constitution. So it will be difficult for the NASS to want to change the status quo that benefits them. We need a sovereign national conference to come up with a people's constitution. We the ethnic nationalities needs to renegotiate our existence and after that come up with a new constitution. I prefer this to the first option of NASS passing the 2014 confab but will accept the confab where this is not possible
Eastlink:
Confab without being approved by the national assembly was a jamboree. GEJ knew this and yet went ahead to waste tax payers money. The Nigerian laws empowers only the national assembly to approve a new constitution. If we are tired of the 1999 Constitution and it’s amendments, it becomes the task of Nigerians to lobby their reps requesting a review and implementation of the Confab, thus passing it into law.

NIBC:
It is amazing how the northern elites view the southern block of this country. Their calculations and blinkering is just to ensure that power remain in the north irrespective of whatever political platforms there are for them to perpetuate their visions.

5years ago, Jonathan will not be allowed to finished his second term because the north felt he used Yardua' time and so wants power back in the north.. Both parties then ensured a notherner was on the tickets. Now that a fresh faced southerner means power will be away for atleast 8years. Jonathan has become the fastest route to bring back power after 4years.

And trust power hungry opportunists in the south, this will be lost to them, they will soon put pressure on GEJ to push. He is entitled to his right to contest, but I pray the man's decency makes him keep himself away from the office and forever continue to enjoy the goodwill he still has.

The botched #END SARS pained me, because I felt the problem with this country is not SARS rather it is how we are set up. Nigeria is set up to fail. Even the most intentioned man will fail in running this country. Wake Regan or any of the greats like former singaporean president from the dead, they will fail to run this country well with the way we are set up.

My greatest grouse with GEJ is that he blew a great chance of reordering this country. Police for instance can't be reformed if Nigeria is not reordered. Until a Peter Obi can handover to an Osibanjo and Adewunmi can take over to hand over to a man from His plateau or a wukari man. Then we are still joking. If it must be Fulani and then others. I am sorry.

While I am impressed with what the youth did with ENDSARS administration, but that simple display of efficient management can't work in a complex system like the current Nigeria. This system frustrates the best of men.

For the sake of all us. GEJ better stay off Also Vila. What the youths can do, is to use their voting power to vote outside what the politicians set up for us.

Recycling the same corrupt men. Shame!

There was a reason he was voted out and I guess the average Nigerian is suffering from dementia so reason up this rubbish.

Must the North always be in power?

So after all the #Endsars and #EndBadGovernance protests with all the energy and destruction that came with it, the only way forward for this country is to go back to GEJ?? Is he not part of the bad governance this country has experienced since the military era? Na wa ooo for some people!

If the youths who came out massively for the #Endsars protests will still support APC and PDP politicians in 2023, then they would have proved themselves to be very foolish and irredeemable! We are watching them!
They better channel their energy into supporting a younger, visionary candidate like the Moghalus' of this world...

Bunch of clowns. Jonathan that wasted 6 years during which he could have carried out the restructuring of Nigeria. Instead he was busy building Almajiri schools and trying to impress the North. What will he be coming back to accomplish?
All these useless acrobatics just to dodge the issue of Igbo Presidency. Majority of Nigerians are cursed.

they are still sleeping not even the greatest president ever to walk Nigeria can be sworn in without zoning which in my opinion is fraud and infringement of our fundamental human rights.. it’s obsolete, obscene and reeks of self serving antics/gimmicks..
anyway 2023 is far as far the world knows.

Does that mean that the SE, despite their massive support for the thieving party, does not have a man of timbre and caliber to counter any northern candidate? In that case they should forget presidency for another 50 years.

Instead of unreasonable people to agitate for total restructuring that Will move the country forward, they are still falling for the political gimmicks of the Northern Oligarchy.

I don't expect any normal person should considered PDP and APC in this nation again. When u vote PDP, all the criminal in APC will decamp, same as all the criminal in PDP decamped to APC. So we can't continue to recycling same set of people all in the name of party.

What party do you suggest we consider? how you think other parties are not the same as APC and PDP or probably even worse is bewildering and outright delusional. They are all politicians at the end of the day

I'd rather vote the less evil I know

Am not a prophet though but I feel overhyping will not help this man in his presidential bid, remember it's only the south that is throwing much support for this man and he will still have to deal with the same north stereotype which is what even got him out of the presidential Villa in the first place
