I don’t know why you guys are arguing over card payment. It’s a very convenient means of payment for all parties.

Rider pays with card and gets discount (not all the time o ole)

Driver accepts card payment and pays his commission to the app company

App company gets paid through card payment and has resources to improve app services to both rider and driver.

It’s a no brainer. Yea there are times that cash is needed asap but it is what it is. That is how the business is. You can’t expect the business to bend for you.

This thread has become like our country Nigeria. Everyday one NON-issue to occupy us and make us lose focus.

Abeg angry igboman na which part of my motor I go hang that cctv device?

Your post is not balance until you also state the disadvantages of card trip to both parties.

Some months ago I started a card trip without the rider being on the car after rider and I had argument on the phone... Disadvantage of card trip.

The other time I reported a driver here who collected 3500box from a rider despite the trip being card... Disadvantage of card trip

I've carried an elderly woman from Sura to Lekki on trip and she still wanted to pay me cash but I informed her it's a card trip so she doesnt have to pay twice. I know some drivers will collect that money....another disadvantage

I've heard drivers not ending trips afyer drop off simply because trip payment is card... Not all riders knows or have time complaining about trip/adjustment... Another disadvantage

I can go on and on...

There's nothing like time wasting for cash or card payment... If a rider complains of trip fare tell them to channel their complains to the ride share complain simple.

The advantages and disadvantage of both cash and card trip can mever be over emphasize.

Solution to the problem is, let everyone stick to what work best for them and stop trying too hard to force a horse to drink water.

Drop mic!

It's baffling how men behave like women due to opposing perspective.

We all forgot the bane of contention was actually when someone said that ignoring a card trip is fraudulent and lack of understanding.

I can beat my chest and say with confidence that 80% of drivers have in one or the other rejected a card trip for reasons other than fraud.

Some due to fuel and others due to urgent need of cash at that point in time.

Wouldn't be ignorant to think that a driver can reject card trip 100% , doing that alone would affect his cancellation/ rejection level, meaning the case of rejecting a card trip is just an isolated case and very minimum at that. In addition to the fact that, it's impossible to receive three successive card trip, it's always a mixture of both and in some cases the card trip could come at the wrong time due to reason stated earlier, hence the driver could turn it down at that time in point

I would still say with confidence that no driver would reject a card trip because he want to perpetuate a fraud. How will he in the first place?.

Yes, the benefit of card trip outweighs the cash trip but then once a while, what you need at that moment could outweighs the acclaimed advantage of card trip.

For a driver who has no cash on him and hoping to raise fuel money from probably Frist two trips ( Those Angels can say it doesn't relate to them, cause they have cash always) from the little fuel of yesterday, if same driver gets a card trip as first ride for the day, he will surely reject and same driver will still do a card trip during the days hustle, because he might have fueled up and can afford it without disservice to card trip rider. (The worst scenario is , if your fuel finish while on a card trip, it will be embarrassing to ask the gentle man for some cash knowing the payment is card)

I am still of the school that rejecting a card trip is never fraud related, because that was the genesis of this discussion.

Thanks for your point but the fooolish Mr. Comprehension and honesty will never see reasons to your points.

How would one say rejecting 1/2 card trip is an act of fraud and lack of comprehension? And you say you have common sense.

As a matter of fact, it is even more likely for driver's to cheat on card trip than on cash. Yes I said that. I do card trips a lot and I know what I'm saying. don't ask me how. If you wanna know ask that guy whose account was blocked for doing a trip worth 160k.

Well, I've come to understand something in life, "only a pot can confidently call a kettle black", reason is because he the pot is even more black.

As for that addicted gambler always quoting me at every slight opportunity, I repeat I won't mention your moniker neither will I quote you because I understand more than you can even think and assimilate, you ca5n't use me to gain cheap popularity on NL okay and another thing is I only pity your partner (that's even if your a uber driver self) because after story story for one month you'll emd up selling his car to play bet. Go get a life and that includes you too Mr comprehension.

Cash or card will differ from driver to driver because we see things differently, I do indriver exclusively because I do it part time, destination feature but also because it's exclusively cash.

I hate it when I carry someone, and all I get is thank you (some will not even say it).

I remember when I was using bolt, and I'll conclude a trip of 2,000 and see bonus 1,500, only for the person to give me 500.

I'll do just cash if given the choice, I can't deal with the delay and mathematics involved with card.
