Hello adeenzo,

Have you ordered your gcms notes? I see you worrying on here daily, it’s not healthy. Order your notes so you can get small peace of mind.

All the best

Do you think I should order another gcms note to be on a safer side, Application submitted October 5. GCMS ordered on 24th. I don't know when they do get the Note, if its the first day of submission or the day they sent it. I don't want to waste time waiting. Should incase the first one won't carry much info. Thanks

My brother/Sister,let’s calm down . I submitted my application on October 4th too. Eligibility hasn’t even started though have done upfront medical

I think it’s only advisable when eligibility has started and considering time has passed and still no response from IRCC that one can order for gcms note.

My take !!!!

If you applied on the 5th of Oct. You need to be calm. The standard time is 15weeks. People that applied since March are still Waiting. Your app is still at its baby stage . its too too early to applyvfir gcms note .

Do you get emails?.

Like" We've sent you message " from cic?.

That tracking number looks like October 2020 . "202010"

Also what website did you do the tracking?.

The tracking number might be for another candidate or fake site.

Yes biometrics was done October
Vfc website
Yes I get emails from cic for updates etc

[quote author=Akannitommy post=95895917]I think this is a default message on VFS tracking platform for both biometric and PPR stages - no difference. In general, it is misleading. Their platform is not robust enough to give real time status hence they just dump a redundant template to return for similar queries.

Okay boss, I appreciate alot

Any ‘Masters’ of Engineering’ (MEng) applicant here?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Anon123: 7:04pm On Nov 10, 2020
For those that applied mid August, September or October, you guys need to be patient. The standard time is 15weeks but we all know application go beyond the standard time. No need to order for gcms note at an early stage unless you have money to spend.

Hello Legacyedition,

I’m not sure if the gcms notes starts from the day of submission. Maybe others might know.

But October 5, was not too long ago. It’s not yet time to worry. Keep calm and be hopeful.

Best wishes

Good evening House,
For anyone planning to travel soon once they get their stamped passports back, let me share the experience of someone that arrived in Canada a couple of days ago....

“ Hey y'all!

I just woke up from my first night in quarantine.
So - I have been able to enter Canada. I am just gonna narrate the whole trip. For anyone who doesn't care about details: There is nothing to worry about if you have a study permit and proof of enrollment! For everyone else:

So I departed in Frankfurt and was already asked about my documents at check-in. Then again, when boarding. I have also had to get my temperature taken. I got on the flight with ease - which was low-key unexpected.

After 9 hours I was in Toronto. I was getting kinda nervous at that point. So I walked up the counter to the CBSA officer and I was literally just asked to show my study permit and proof of enrollment. I was asked nothing else - the officer passed my documents back and I was let in. It took less than a minute. I did not expect that.

I am also confused since I did not need to show the ArriveCAN app or anything. I am still not sure what to do with the app now - I can not fill in anything else. I might call the support soon since I am supposed to fill in a self-check every day. I can update on that if people care.

Before boarding my next flight, I had to get my temperature taken again.

When I got to Halifax I just needed to get my luggage and present another form (Nova Scotia Save Check-In) that I had filled out online in advance.

Now in quarantine I have to fill out several health self-assessments everyday.

Other than that I have just been laying in bed the whole time lol

I hope this helps everyone who is planning on travelling soon! Don't stress about it. My experience was good! The worst part was the travel itself (delays, weird airport procedures, etc...)”

just a little advise to new applicants from October and maybe late September

Kindly exercise long patience
The PPRs you witnessed this week and last 2weeks were applications from March to August and some August and September are yet to receive an update.

It's good to anticipate but with Canada, the only way to avoid slipping into depression is taking your mind off your application going about your normal duties, engage yourselves and redirect your mind else where. The green light to most successful applications is MEDICAL REQUEST.
Even when you receive such, sometimes they still delay a lil bit before final approval, nor Let IRCC rush your application go give you NEGATIVE.

Patience is the key, Standard processing time is now 15weeks so put your mind to rest.
You may only start sending emails to the different offices on your status after the standard processing time. Again, Nor Let IRCC rush your application go give you NEGATIVE.

Constant checking won't in anyway influence the decision, once submitted, the others is between GOD, the VO and the DOCs you provided, and SOP,
however KEEP HOPE ALIVE

We will all get there
IT IS STILL OUR MONTH OF PRAISE

Another set of BVL and PPR will rain from 15th to 18th
