Do multi-stream recorder/frequency has its separate list of limited channels on its frequency or take in both channels lists available on its frequency and none altogether?

Let me use this question to elaborate more on how multistream really works as easy as possible and I hope I don't get ban because I will definitely use two names that might be prohibited here to drive home my point.

But let's lay a foundation to build on by listing out all the multiple streams to which service providers relay tv stations or channels get to the Final consumer

Now picture this in your head. Each of the above transmission stream has a radio frequencies in which it they transmit.

So imagine a situation where a service provider chooses to merge its channels that are being transmitted both on DVB-S2 Platform and DVB-T2 platform through the help of the DVB-S2X technology. Thereby creating one singular frequency for both the satellite channels and terrestrial channels to coexist simultaneously and receivable on that same frequency ( for example combining D**v which is a digital satellite channel and G**v which is digital terrestrial channel to be receivable under one or more specific frequency simultaneously)

The above process of achieving that is what translate to multiple streaming. Aka multistream

Those stations you searched can not be found on my decoder using that frequency.

What does that mean?

To EXPLAIN MULTISTREAM IN LAY MAN TERMS


1.Analogue broadcasting- You can only transmit the whole frequency as one channel e.g AIT will take one whole frequency to broadcast,

Then came digital in 1994 with the coming of DVB.

2. Dvb-s1 means that single frequency we used in analogue can be broken down into at least 20 channels. With Dvb-s1 you can compress plenty tv , radio or even ip into one frequency. but you do this by multiplexing everything into one single stream. So in S1 you have to multiplex.

3. Dvd-s2 allows you to eliminate multiplexing, broadcasters or users can send out multiple streams in a single frquency.

Let us take CNN as an example, CNN has multiple studios in diffrent locatio. Say they have studios in LA, DC New york and Cairo.
In Dvb s1 they will need one frequency per studio to send feeds back to atlanta thier headquarters. i.e
LA one frequency
DC one frequency
New york one freq
Cairo one freq.

But in dvb s2 they only need one frequency to run the whole operation. as the diffrent studios can share that single frequency each studio can send streams on this single frequency independently without interfearance.

NO!! Basically, you will need a DVB S2X tuner to multi stream.. however, for marketing purposes, some manufacturers may reprogram their boxes for specific frequencies to do the multi stream and they need to occasionally upgrade for the service to continue ..

point of correction, channels not frequencies!
the above frequency has channels that can multi stream and also channels that cant.

Exactly every decoder can pop up multi stream signal but then the signal cannot brings out the multi streams channels because we have a specific decoder that are compertable for stream channels... Note : as brother @ yawwilson said it earlier on if you are buying a decoder you need to consider some specs of the decoder that support DVB-S/S2X and Hevc 265 to the extent automatically alltorolling keys which are now in the system...

Note the symbol rate has change from 7500 to 9160 so the new frequency is {12734 (H) 9160} input manually and surely you will get the new content
