Yes it was sent to my IRCC portal after my status changed to approved.

How long after you got your approval did you get your letter of introduction. And did you get a IRCC do not reply email?

Hello house. I am applying for a study visa as a Ghanaian. Just got my admission letter from Utoronto for fall 2020. However, I just checked the processing time for Ghana from Cic website and it says 37 weeks by which my program would have already began. I know we are not in ideal times because of covid pandemic. In this situation what do I do?
Guys please what is your take on this?
Are you in Canada now?.

Any one from any University already there?

I am new here. I have lots of questions to ask in respect of getting a Canada study visa so here I go.

1) I have a master's degree and I was wondering if that will affect me from getting a post-diploma course but it's different from my course.
2) I have a sponsor who is my sister and i will like to know what documents i need from her. I have savings of 3mill and on paper, she will be paying for my school fees.
3) I also need to know what I need to show to the visa officer.

I would love any help here. I am applying for school in the fall.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Chocs(f): 5:52pm On Nov 14, 2020
Hello achu442,

When applying for your visa you need to show at least 1 year tuition and 10,000 cad for upkeep.

The 10,000 cad is already 3 million. Therefore, 3 million is not enough.

Hello Nory01,

All the questions you asked have been answered previously. Please read the thread from page one, you’ll get a more detailed answer than anyone can give you.

To answer your questions briefly,
1) a master’s is higher than a PGD so it’s not a career progression. Although some people have been able to convince the visa officer and got their visa. If you have a strong reason for going for PGD, you can. Otherwise, you can opt for a PHD

2) sponsor needs to give you a sponsorship letter, 4-6 months bank statement, proof of their employment (employment letter, letter of introduction, payslips, if they’re into business then their business registration documents), assets like landed property documents

3) if you go to page 1 of this thread (you can find the page numbers at the bottom of this page) you’ll see a full list of required documents. Some of them are:
International passport
Letter of acceptance from a Canadian institution
Passport photograph according to the Canadian specification
Proof of funds (sponsors documents will fall here, and yours if you have, paid tuition receipt, anything showing your financial capability)
Medical examination will be required
Client information (where you attach your statement of purpose, previous certificates, transcripts and any extra document you want to attach)

Best wishes

If your intended institution requires initial tuition deposit, then you have to pay, although some of them don't
That aside, you can pay the initial tuition deposit to further show your readiness and sufficient financial capability to study in Canada.
Onweke:
Is it possible for a student visa to be approved without paying initial tuition deposit ?

Hello guys, I need you thoughts on this if you have ever experience it.

Its a case of an applicants pursuing student visa for two universities at different countries ( U.S and Canada) simultaneously same courses and almost same course duration. But Canada is the applicants preferred choice/destination.

If the U.S student visa was approved on time and passport stamped already and then later the Canadian visa becomes sucessful and IRCC requested for the applicants passport to be stamped.
Questions:
1)Will the passport be rejected at the Canadian VAC,
2) if the Canada stamps the passport, at the Canadian /u.s border will questions arise and will applicant be sent back home.

Please share any similar experience.

Thanks

Hello Dudun007,

There is no issue here, they are both separate bodies. As long as you meet the eligibility for a Canada SP irrespective of any valid travel stamp appended to the PP, there won't be no hassle in affixing the stamp. It would only be at your discretion to decide on which is your destination preference.

N.B: your admissions MAY BE cancelled if you failed to attended classes for about 150 days continuously peradventure your school reports or if IRCC request for student report update which is somewhat rare.

All the best

If your resumption is for Winter 2021, go ahead to book for either month end or early December otherwise, wait your application out.

Your not having worked before May. The question the VO will be asking is why has your husband suddenly decided to spend such a huge amount on your education?

I am in this situation too, though in my case I have been doing small business but just for pocket money, nothing substantial. I got a refusal and one of the reasons was current employment situation.

You will have to spend some time explaining in your SOP the earning power of your new degree and the job availability in Nigeria once you are done. Your Husband being your only sponsor is actually the best, as long as he has enough funds.

I got a job in Canada so I did not need to show proof of funds since I was applying for Work Permit.
I got references from my former bosses and added those to all the job offer letter/contract I have ever received and added my school certificates and applied.

My employer had to get LMIA before we could apply.

I guess you secured the job offer from within Canada?
