Igbeti - igboho -kisi axis, oyo state.

The axis, I saw huge buying and selling of yams during yam season.
I read that one other state in south west also produce big amount of yams yearly.

those trucks transport anything between 15000 to 18000 pieces of yam depending on the size. Let's say all expenses of transporting 14000 pieces to Lagos is for eg 900,000 Naira, that's N900,000 divide by 14000 pieces which is about N64 per piece. If you have only 100 pieces in that truck then you pay N64 x 100 which is N6400.

I just gave that as an example for you to understand how transport cost is calculated.

We have many pockets of this kind market littering in the north. In Niger State alone, there are over 10 of them. For instance, we Lambata yam market, Gwan yam market, Kuta yam market, kaffin koro yam market, Paiko yam market, etc.
When you talk about rice, you can go to Lapai- Bida-Kutigi axis.
All these are markets where one can buy yam and other farm produce as much as he can through out the year.
