BS......BS......BS.......Average post length alert. Pardon typo/grammar error. I finally gather some energy to write it because other mama's BS was a strong encouragement to me. I thank God for blessing my 1 year marriage with a baby girl on November. 1st trimester The journey was smooth, no MS and strength was good. But at 12 weeks bleeding started and scan said threatened abortion. I was given injections and drugs with bed rest. After 3 days, it stopped. Though I was very worried all through that period but thanks to the past post in this thread. They really encourage me. 2nd trimester I was about enjoying my honeymoon phase but at 14 weeks, bleeding started again. I have to change from private hospital to FMC because I needed more professional checks. When the new hospital asked for scan, it was placenta previa. It was low lying hence the bleeding. They said, it will move up as the pregnancy progress. So I was on hospital bed rest for 7 days with drugs and it stopped after days. Thanks to God. The rest of my second trimester was good. 3rd trimester It was good too, no waist pain, no back pain. But at 32 weeks, I discovered baby was frank breech. My consultant rescheduled me for Scan at 36 weeks hoping it will be different. At 36 weeks baby turned head down. Good news to me. At 38 weeks antenatal, baby was back to breech position. So my consultant scheduled me for CS if baby do not turn at 39weeks. I decide to proceed with the appointment. So I prayed and ask for God intervention to make it a smooth one without complications. Delivery Day I was the second person scheduled for CS that day and my baby girl was delivered at exactly 7mins after the process commence. Few minutes later, my doctors were through with me and I was wheeled to the ward. By second day, I was on my feet. By third day I did PCV test and it came out 32%, only 2% was lost during the surgery because before surgery it was 34% and no blood transfusion was done all through. By fourth day, I was discharged. I will say, no vigilante experience for me because my baby love to sleep. She is awake only when she need food. Once she is through, sleep take over. Day and night, she is always sleeping without crying. I pray for safe delivery to other November mama's and all mama's. I pray God answer every woman's prayers. Baby dust to all TTC. BS/Testimony warning: Very long BS my BS is nothing short of glory of God I found out I was pregnant at week 5 of the pregnancy because I was always doing pregnancy test, I couldn't wait to get pregnant 5 months after wedding. The pregnancy journey was smooth all through apart from first trimester vomiting wahala and all day sickness as I call it not morning sickness �, During the second trimester I use to forget that am pregnant cos no signs of pregnancy apart from my growing tummy, I was glowing and becoming fairer. Then third trimester came with lots of wahala, from constant urinating especially at midnight to pains when coming down from bed. Delivery So when I passed all EDD the last one been 10th of Nov, exactly on the 12th I complained to a neighbor who asked me to mix half bottle of castor oil with Sprite and drink. I did it. 1hr later I started stooling something watery and was vomiting too, my husband asked what happened I didn't know how to tell him that I followed a woman's advise to drink castor oil, so I lied that I did not know. the next morning being Friday last weeks around 6am I started having pains that comes and goes. I later realized that it might be contractions, I timed it loo and behold it was coming at 11 minutes interval and last for 1 minute. I was happy, I woke my husband that am having contractions that our baby might come today or tomorrow, him too was over happy. around 10am I was having heavy white watery discharge I checked well and saw just a spot of blood, I said ok whatever it is am ready. by 12 I saw trickle of water leaking down my leg, I just cleaned it but I realized that the water keeps coming in small quantity that I have to wear pad. By then the contractions have stopped so I concluded that it was false contractions but I was now worried about the leaking fluid. I went to a nearby hospital to complain was asked to do scan, scan showed that my water is adequate, I took the result to hospital and they certified me and baby ok. I went back home and continued my Normal activity. By 10 pm the contractions started again this time coming at 9minutes interval and was painful. By 12 it was very painful and coming at 5 minutes interval. I quickly woke my husband and we set out to the hospital I want to born which was 30 minutes drive from our location. When we got to the hospital I was checked only 2cm dilated chai I said with this kind pain, so we stayed back cos it's already late. I couldn't sleep that night cos of pains. I was thinking that the way the contractions is strong that I might born before morning but nah. Saturday morning my mother in law came to join us(God bless that woman) was checked again only 3cm we decided to stay back since it progressed and the distance is far. My fellow Mama's Sunday morning came 4cm by then I was already tired. my husband and mother in law were tired too. I refused induction cos the contractions pains was making me want to go mad by then, talk more of adding Induction pain. I decided to endure more. Doctors and nurses were encouraging me to endure. By then I have been moved to labour ward, pregnant women that were admitted there with me were giving birth and are with their babies still I didn't loose hope. By Monday morning i was checked again behold I was 5cm after the rigorous exercise I did with mother in law the previous night. I said to myself so 1 day I will add 1cm that means that before I will reach 10cm who knows how many days more I need to stay in the hospital. I said to myself that which ever method that my baby is coming out today. the doctors too were tired of my case. Then the doctors suggested I go for CS that the baby is already getting weak as I have been in labour for 4days I said ok am ready, they called my husband in and decided to check the heartbeat of my baby it was low, everybody started running around, mother in law was almost crying, hubby was shouting at them to be fast. I was shaved and taken to the theater immediately, even on the surgery table I was still shouting in pains cos of contractions. I was given injection at my back to numb the pain, after some minutes surgery commenced and my son was brought out. they realized that my amniotic fluid have broken since that Friday and baby have drink some of the fluid, they were now running around extracting fluid from his mouth while am still lying on the surgery table begging God to save my son. after extracting the water, another nurse took my baby out for more check up. After stitching me up, I was taken to recovery room, where my baby was already lying on his bed sleeping gently. The doctor told us that during the surgery they realized that a cord was wrapped around his neck that's why I wasn't dilating fast. we are still in hospital but my mum, hubby and mum in law are here with me, pampering me. I really thank God for saving my child, he did not allow my 9months journey to be in vain. pweetyoge:my test last week revealed that my PCV is low 29%, the doctor recommended some drugs and advised I eat enough vegetables and sea food. And I have been doing that, I no longer feel weak. Can I still take this leave "hospital -is-far" with my routine drugs? 1 Like |
