sorry for turning in late, my phone screen is bad, am typing now with my husband's phone, besides am just getting over the pain from my surgery coupled with vigilante it's not easy.

my early pregnancy was filled with the usual morning sickness palava, the difference between this one and my first pregnancy was hunger pangs started almost immediately with morning sickness, I had to eat every 2 hour or else I will vomit like no tomorrow, it's not as if the food will go o, but I just have to force myself to eat something, so eko(agidi) became my favorite as it has no taste and no smell.

I had malaria, typhoid and infection at 8 weeks, fear of coro did not allow me go to the hospital as the country was preparing for lockdown, so I went to a nurse that treated me with injections and drips for a week, I was always afraid the treatment will affect my growing baby, so at 9 weeks I went for my first scan and kept asking the sonographer if the baby has no defect.

the pandemic and subsequently lockdown affected of finances ( me and husby run a laundry service) to even eat was a problem, I had to stop buying peak 123 for my daughter and have her take our adult milk, my husband started blaming me for getting pregnant claiming he has told me he is ok with just a child, now there is no money and we are bringing another child to the world, if it wasn't again my religious teachings I would have ended the pregnancy, I was tired of his nagging and constant reminder that the pregnancy was my doing ( as if I got myself pregnant o).

second trimester came, I got better, more energy, but I was still eating like mad, I kept wondering if am having multiple babies as I don't know why my body needs so much energy.

third trimester came with it's waist pain, sleep discomfort and all, buying baby things wasn't easy, my mum helped us with some of the hospital list other things I need to buy, I was getting little by little, if I have 1k, I will go to a store in the area and see what I can get with 1k, house rent was due too, with landlord constantly on our back, any little money we had was going into savings for rent. somehow we survived those period. And there come the swelling of my hands and feet, infact at a point It was difficult to have a firm grip on anything. no slippers was entering my leg too.

at 35 weeks I went to the hospital to complain about my swollen feet, almost went back home half way to the hospital as protesters block the road, but I thank God I found my way to the hospital that very day, my bp was so high I had to be admitted and was scheduled for cs the following week, while I was happy that I will meet my baby soon, a senior doctor came around and said I should be kept for another 2 weeks for more fetal maturity, I was devastated, was crying for my daughter and wondering who will take care of her while my husband is doing hospital runs for me, my bp kept increasing and everyday I will tell the doctor to discharge me if they won't deliver the baby, after a week I was discharged and my mom came around from ibadan.

the following week was ANC, nobody attended to us cos of the protest, the doctor I happened to see after explaining that am a bp patient said if I have any complain I should go to the nearest hospital. We started thinking of going to Sango ota from ikorodu to a cousin's hospital to deliver but the curfew did not allow us move, I was just scared of having a seizure as the BP refused to go down even with all the medications am taking.

on 28th October I went for normal ANC, bp was high as usual, I was admitted again and scheduled for CS the next day, the CS was done and my boy was delivered. the only boy out of the 5 of us that went for surgery that day.
After the surgery the BP refused to go down, infact there was a day I had bp of 195/139, I was kept in the recovery room and not allowed to be transferred to the postnatal ward till I was discharged, still on bp drugs to be reviewed at my 6weeks postnatal appointment.

I also noticed that since I came out of surgery I have had problems with my vision, I have fluid pulled over my right eye, I can't see well with that eye until now, I have complained to the doctor and they said the fluid in my eye will go on its own when the BP goes down.

Mama, you don't need to do anything much in my opinion. Just wait it out, the contractions are still far apart. You can take a walk or stroll if your body permits.
Some people do ewedu, pineapple and dates . I have not used any of them but intercourse worked for me .
Wishing you a smooth, safe and supernatural delivery.

To everyone expecting birth story, apologies please! It is not easy to get a hold of our phones and just type immediately. I have been typing for two days now, Some like me were asked to rest properly after having some mild dizziness. But here we go!

It is actually my second baby, I had my son in 2018 December and I decreed with my mouth to be back by 2020 and God did it. I took in February and when first trimester hit me, for the first time I understood what morning sickness means.

For most of us who did not experience it at our first child, now I understand why those who do just can't relive the moment. The sickness was terrific, I kept on throwing up at every slight chance. I registered for antenatal at three months and everything was fine with me except for low pcv, which is not new to me honestly. I did everything to boost it, but each visit, it was still low.

Congratulation mama! may God bless the Child with grace and favour.
Please can you be kind enough to share the supernatural child birth book with me?

At 8months, my husband was asked to donate blood, thankfully we were compatible. I did blood transfusion and was still doing my regular garden egg leaf, veggies and fruits. At 9momths, the doctor still insisting on blood transfusion, but on asking on the group about what I can do to boost my pcv, someone mentioned the leaf, hospital too far...funny my mom knows about the leaf and she requested we got it from the farm...I started taking it and amazingly it worked in two weeks.. doctor sef shock...

Fast forward to November, I was not in a hurry to Meet baby, because I had not finished shopping..I was too lazy to visit the market. I went to the market on the 10th and bought what I needed, on getting home..I knew in my mind, I had overworked myself. My body was telling on me. On the 13th midnight to 14th which is EDD I was not expecting to fall into labor, but when I could not sleep, I knew something was up but could not place it. I visited the restroom five times, I was purging..unlike my first child, I saw blood and mucous, this one was quite different. I had no idea until my waist started paining me, it would do that for minutes and then let me be. I quickly did Google search and found out it was contractions and I needed to time it. It started by 12 and I kept on managing it because I did not want to visit the hospital and be told it is false labour..
Omo, that thing hit me till 3.a.m...i just wore my clothes and told hubby let's go...we got to the hospital by 3.30a.m and the doctors were busy, they had a handful of two pregnant women in intense labour...he looked at me and said you don't look like you are in labor yet...and I was like because I am not shouting abii...they told me to hold on...once contractions hit me, I just jump on hubby and he rubs my back.. surprisingly I was not crying o...unlike my first child that I started crying from the house sef...by 5a.m they attended to me, because one of the patient has delivered while the other one was not dilating well enough...I was asked to come and lay down to be checked, but I said I needed to poo, but getting to the restroom again, I tried but couldn't..the nurse was like wait let me check you first... immediately I lay down ..plus the nurses o, doctor ooo they screamed n started running around to set drip and arrange my baby things...

I was just praying for an easy and painless delivery in my mind.. because my first labour ehh, with my low threshold of pain..I cried my eyes out. They fixed drip and that wicked pain hit me but surprisingly I was only shouting doc o doc o, help me....but no tears, he was like once it hits me I should push... without telling me sef, my body acted on its own o..started pushing the baby out like one very very hot hot urine...this time around, I did not say nurse I don't know how to push o...LoL. last last with three push, baby came out screaming with her tiny voice, I was later asked to cough n placenta came out...he stiched my little tear and then cleaned me up.

Then the rest they say is history. My surprise baby came out a girl. I am so thankful to God for answered prayers of a painless delivery, probably because for the first time I prayed that supernatural delivery book that one mama here shared with me. Omo, I can't believe I now have two kids o..even my mom is shocked and happy for me...lol because she fears for me with the way I hate drugs, injections and pain and my husband thinks I am a fish, but this time around, he hailed me that I was super strong for him.

So join me and thank God for blessing my family for the second time, and I pray the Lord who did same for me, will do same for all of us. Amen.

N.b Some things I learnt are, no two pregnancy are truly the same. Yes, experience matters too, I already know what each stage of labor is and I told myself to try and hold myself even tho it won't be easy..and then nothing prayers can not do, positive proclamation is very good, no matter what...I proclaimed easy, safe and painless delivery and God heard my worries and answered me.

I have never felt so energetic after child birth, I was so full of strength and I even started eating almost immediately and doing little things, which is not advisable, mumsy warned me to sleep and take plenty rest...thank God when I fainted, a doctor was close to quickly check up on me and do the needful. So please let us rest rest rest no matter how superwoman we feel...

Lastly I am signing out of team November 2020, the year of unbelievable things in the world, the Corona Year and the Lockdown order. But I am speaking positively to be back in another two years for my supernatural twins (Winks). May God answer us all and meet us at our point of need. Amen.

Let me dash off to Twitter and look for giveaway thread Biko...I need money like maddddd. Lol

Ermmm, see a picture of her jare.

You are welcome ma'am.
It depends on you and how strong the contractions are. I had it just once and started having irregular contractions the next morning. Real thing started like a day after, it wasn't spontaneous.

Big Congratulations to all the mamas who've dropped their bundle of joy.

Thanks for sharing amazing BS too... I'm glad they all ended in praise.

Sabi Abj mamas, please would you recommend Gov't Hosp. Kubwa for antenatal and delivery? Any idea on cost implication? That's the closest to me. Also someone recommended I combine it with Primary Health Care, Dutse. Thanks for your candid views.

I noticed prenatal drugs changes the color of my poop to dark greenish... Was away from it fr some weeks due to food aversions and frequent spitting and it returned normal. With the help of Hubby, I started ysday again... Hope no cause for alarm?

God bless you all.
