Those guys? Their delays seems to be legendary.

I applied June 16,
Upfront medicals Sept 1,
Biometrics Sept 8,
Eligibility and Background checks still ongoing,
No AIP,
No BVL,
No update about my medical.

I've contacted them thrice in the past 1 month. They responded only once, two days ago, saying:

Good day,

In response to your email enquiry below, kindly note that this application is still under active review by our office. At the moment, we are not in a position to give a clear indication of when we anticipate finalizing this application.

We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible; however, processing times are affected and any disruption caused by COVID-19 is not reflected accurately on our website. We will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.

Please refer to the below link:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/travel-restrictions-exemptions.html

We trust that this information suffices in responding to your enquiry.

Regards

You should apply for your GCMS notes ASAP, your application has exceeded the normal application time of 14weeks. The notes will give you all the information you need concerning your application.

Goodluck!

Hello guys. Please I've already submitted my application over a month ago but I want to do an upfront medical exam so as to reduce the waiting time as winter 2021 is almost here. I was told I can submit it via a webform once I am done with the medical but my question is how do I know the country in which my application is being processed?

NSE is for students, hence I'll advise he opt for IELTS Academic

It is not for admission but for visa purpose, I believe the General test will be acceptable, The SDS which is similar accept IELTS General test

Please guys, I am in a bit of a dilemma here.

I got this Nigeria Student Express email today. I have toefl of 110/120, and I can't afford writing IELTS again. I have raised a webform to make enquiry on using my TOEFL result instead of IELTS. What do you think?

Also, for the bankstatement, I got funding of about 26,100 CAD per year for 2 years. My tuition is 18.3k cad and I have over 4,000 cad in m bank account. Can I send them a merger of the funding letter and the mybankstatement verification slip?

Please advice guys! I will honestly appreciate.

@frankrobbn1 @chocs @justmellow

Please ignore the Nigeria Student Express email you received from IRCC since you don't qualify for it. Your funding and 4kcad for miscellaneous expenses is adequate for your studies.

Good day all,
My friend got the mail below today. My questions are:
1. Can she request for an ielts exemption certificate from the school that admitted her? Can it suffice for an ielts certificate?

2. How can she go about this proof of financial support?

Thank you people

That's what mine shows too, although the date is showing 16th on mine. The passport is with the embassy now and they'll give us feedback by next week, hopefully.

You should apply for your GCMS notes ASAP, your application has exceeded the normal application time of 14weeks. The notes will give you all the information you need concerning your application.

Goodluck!

Count from when the application was completed, not when it was submitted. Applying for GCMS note, which will take another 2 months to arrive, isn't the way to go for now.

Guys pls help, I have browsed through tons of schools but still not sure the ones that are more likely to give admission. My CGPA is 3.63, Second class upper but I applied to Queens University last year, I didnt get admission. Bla bla bla we are not offering you admission, the admission process was very competitive kinikan kinikan. grin

My friend too who applied to University of Ottawa too with a 2.1 didn't get admission.

I Don't want my money to waste this time around biko.
Will I get admission with this CGPA.
What options do I have? My first degree was in law.

What schools are more admission friendly and not too competitive. If they say 2.1, is it 2.1 truly abi they have other things they look at.
Note that I want to do masters in Law and not all schools offers it. Memorial university, University of new Brunswick etc do not.

Epp
Hi,

- You might need to enquire if its required of you to get a Supervisor (Professor) first before applying,
sequel to that, if you mail a Supervisor that has a Law Research area that aligns with yours, and he/she accepts you, there is a certainty u gonna get the admission, you might even be lucky to get Funding (Scholarship) if available

- Endeavor to check for schools, there are substantial amount of Masters of LLM programs in Canadian Universities

See the link below and do a google search on them

https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Law&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH

Note that most Universities will require u to secure a Supervisor (Professor) before you can get a Masters Admission, sequel to that, endeavor to reach out to lots of Professors (of different schools) as much as possible, so you can widen your horizon as regards your Masters Admission and have lots of options

The link below is your plug for that

Full guides on how to apply for MASTERS/PH.D programs in Canadian Universities, Secure a Supervisor and also get possible FUNDING (SCHOLARSHIP)

Can I submit IELTS General for this process too

Thanks

JustMellow:

I remodified this post. You can use the General for NSE since its for immigration purpose.

Are you sure about this? @.JustMellow..... I don't believe IELTS General qualifies for the Nigeria Student Express Program (NSE). In view that this is a study permit application and not a permanent resident application, an IELTS Academic module would be the best fit here.
