I hope ur brother is rugged and street wise not an ajebo (butter child). Because he will be dealing with
419/yahoo riders, Lastma, local govt touts, airport authority danfo drivers and Lagos drivers. Most people just think it’s to drive and move Lagos.
So if he’s an ajebo and not rugged, just give him 1 month free to test d waters and toughen up. Else ur expectations will be dashed. Also insure d car with comprehensive insurance this first time cos no matter how careful u drive in Lagos especially for someone that don’t know road. Them must touch u or d bad road will remove ur bumper.
Yes you have a valid point, but I believe nothing good comes easy I’ll definitely make him understand that before kick starting. More so, he has a target once that is reached he can choose to stop driving and face his main hustle.
Thank you very much

Elantra is very ok ...but honda civic 03 to 05 is perfect for the job .low maintainence and very rugged than camry or Corolla in the same year .... With the civic change the rims and tires 1 size bigger for better ground clearance
Thank you sir
I’m not really familiar with cars but I’ll check that out on jiji
Gracias

You have distributed this propaganda over the years and people chose to ignore you because they know you are very ignorant.

Oga, CIVIC IS THE MOST USELESS CAR TO USE IN EHAILING.

That car is very plastic in nature and always feel like something that will divide in two if on high speed.

The Two best cars for ehailing are Corrola 03-07 and Camry 03-05 (4 plugs). As a plus, camry 2004 is the most rugged car to use in this racket. Take it from a veteran that have used different cars and different years for this job.

Please stop misleading the general public.

Civic is a very terrible car for ehailing. Its not strong, it has a nasty interior, faulty airbag warnings, low ground clearance that can damage your bottom plate or exhaust, prone to hub pulling like most honda cars and at the extreme engine issues.

For the fact you promote that civic and people keep quite does not mean its the right car. Civic like every honda car of older models are utterly useless and terrible.

Please take your time oo.

I have put my reputation on the line over the years on nairaland. And my main focus is to enlighten and create awareness to this forum ... ...

Uber .... I have been doing uber 1 year after uber starting operating in Nigeria.. People at the time were bandwagon camry and Corolla up and down..
As a business man I decided to think outside the box and go with 07 Elantra.. It was cheap and rugged at the time compare to the Corolla or camry.. I stated on these forum that the price of Elantra will soon go up .. About a year or so later , ehailing took a turn for the worse and the cost of buying elantra or camry or Corolla didnt justify my bottom line........

As your business or personal environment changes. You have to either adjust or look for alternatives or find something else to do. So I decided to try using Honda civic 03 .. I did a test run for few months to 1 year plus .. I then realise that the civics 03 was rugged and easy to maintain.. And most importantly it was cheaper for me .. Now given the fact that Civic has a low ground clearance I than decided to change rims and tires to 1 size bigger to solve that issue.. Till now it has been civic 03 to 05 for me.. I have never had any issues at all or any of my drivers had ever complain..

Just with any other vehicles, you have to find the rite mechanicthat know what they are doing to attend to any issues that might arise........

Conclusion.....I humbly say that I am in a better position than you on these matter.. Honda Civic is more essentially needed more than ever before due to the unstable naira .. As of today November 20th 2020 1 US$ equals 480Naira.. Cost of cars has gone up and naija used cars are not reliable for uber .....

Ps.. You need to be calming down in these uber business and take advice from the elders in this business....

No.
There are plenty good riders and there’s really no point talking about them because they don’t give us problems....yet. If we talk about every rider both good and bad, the pages would be around 10k by now. So we only talk about the ones that give problems and possibly alert comrades of behavior exhibited.

We are riders too so it’s not a ‘drivers against riders thing’. People just don’t know how to behave.

Bros the problem is just that most naija just get this Lagos mentality which is I smart pass you.

If I should start to drop numbers of drivers here owing me money of job done, I know una no go get the liver to start calling them. But we move and just adjust they don't fool you again.

All my trips both on uber and bolt were transfer and I have never had a problem with them infact they dont wait around to get alert. They just kinda trust me which I feel is good.

So anyone who fools him/herself is just basically a fraud.

Yesterday I found myself somewhere in Surulere on Bolt app around 7/8pm, at this time all way leads to my house so I turned on my Indriver app.
A trip entered...

R: where are I?
Me: bla bla it will take me 33min to get to you.
Pls where is this street you're going to?
R: Meiran
Me: trying to tabulate the pick distance and time (4km/33min) with fare he's offering (3.5k) and my chances of getting a trip to my area.

After much negotiation guy man no gree top the money but insist of the 3.5k... He handed up... So i kept driving towards his PU.

I already arrived just incase I decided to cancel or get a set destionation trip on Bolt as I'd already done.

I called rider back generally but the negotiation was no ok with me. Just before i got to his street a request came in on bolt with 1.2 high demand.

Rider(female) : bla bla bla...going to Meiran
Me: ok i'm close, in fact I'm outside.

I noticed PU was d same location as d rider on indrive.

Riders were 2 young brothers and a yound lady as well(family) I guess.
They sound cool but had arguments almost all through the trip till we got to destination.

Me i just mind my business shaking body to my "DJ play" music even when they asked for my judgment I did as if I never heard them.grin

Fast forward...

Trip lasted about 2hrs, N4,400
Rider: you account details pls.
I called it out. Few seconds after
R: done! Stepped out of the car while the other twin younger once were busy packing their luggage.

1, 2,3min no alert.

I quickly horn as they where still at the gate waiting for someone to come open for them.

To be continued...

I need to change location
.....
What's going on guy... Since 6am my app has been on no request. Am I the only one in this?
have you updated it?

I was made to understand that the debtor used his friend's bolt app to request you, hence he's not owing you. He said he's spoken to you and your disposition was not friendly.he said the most painful part was that his bolt app has been blocked after you reported him,and you're still making claims. He also said he can personally send you the dough as soon as his app is active once again. The debtor is a video director not a yahoo boy grin

Baba, you sef dey reason am ba?

I don't really know what transpired between him and the rider.

But the moment he made a fake transfer, whatever honour he had left has gone down the drain.

I see this disposition in other service based occupations as well,

is it a Nigerian thing or what? I mean why do people use a service and you still have to beg them to pay? [/quote]

Thank you boss.
