Tension has persisted in Oyigbo, the Local Government Area in Rivers State, which came under attacks by hoodlums identified as members of the disbanded Indigeneous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB). It's reckless to withdraw troops now, because reprisal attacks from Northerners, and revenge attacks from Ipob can happen soon, even cult war might spring up . 9 Likes |

Fake chiefs. the king of Obigbo has condemned the activities of the Army in Obigbo two days ago. So if wicked Wike like he should hire more criminal Elders to keep on deceiving zombies. https://www.nairaland.com/6264236/oyigbo-rivers-monarch-asks-army 78 Likes 7 Shares |

They are still peddling this fake news about? First they said it was during Dele Momodus trip to Obigbo that this happend, and when the video of Momodus trip came out, showing he didnt meet the so called Chiefs of Obigbo, they quickly cut Dele Momodu out of the story and kept peddling it 40 Likes 2 Shares

gidgiddy:Eyaaa. It appears you've been hoping to become a made man through the fraudulent and criminal activities of ipob, and seeing what is happening in OYIGBO, you feel your livelihood is under threat. If I were you, I'd start looking elsewhere to fend for myself rather than this hopeless ipob course. Your invasion of Oyigbo was a catastrophic mistake and could possibly be the last you're ever allowed to make since it will ultimately result in the death of the criminal enterprise led by an unrepentant con man. There are names of Chiefs in the report with what they said in QUOTATION MARKS, indicating they're being reported VERBATIM, so also L. G. Chairman. But given your penchant to scuff at whatever doesn't sit well with the security of your meal ticket, you had no choice but to call it fake news. You're a disgrace to adulthood Gidgiddi. 39 Likes 11 Shares |

Only people living in far away places that don't know the calamity Wike prevented from happening in Oyibo. I don't like Wike and his type of politics but on Oyibo I must commend him for acting swiftly. IPOB wanted to overrun Mile One Police Station, UST Roundabout police station and Olu Obasanjo police station in one fell swoop but thanks to E-Crack team in Mile one who knew what will happen to them if they had succeeded. 25 Likes 3 Shares |

omenka: You are laughable just like the people peddling this fake news. This story was posted yesterday in the link below. They said that Dele Momodu went to Obigbo and met with the Chiefs, who narrated how IPOB attacked the area. When I now posted the video of Momodus trip to the area showing that he met no Chiefs, they quickly cut out Dele Momodu from the story and posted this new one https://www.nairaland.com/6269279/chiefs-oyigbo-plead-army-not So quotations marks is what makes a story true? Anyone can put quotation marks and mention any name. Thats why this story has no source. What Im waiting for is the story of how IPOB, that is not known to be armed, killed 6 armed Soldiers. This is not possible without a heavy gun battle. Where did this gun battle take place? What are the name of these 6 Soldiers? Where their bodies? How is it that IPOB killed 4 Policemen and 6 Soldiers but nobody knows knows anything about them? The authorities have become so used to Nigerians believing anything they dish out to them. They dont know that this is the age of social media where making false statements without evidence no longer obtains 26 Likes 4 Shares |

nonoski: I live around mile one area, Emenike street precisely. U can't change the narrative to suit your purpose while thinking nobody is going to debunk your statement. That day the incident occurred in Mile one, how did u know it was IPOB members who attempted to burn Mile police station and UST roundabout Police station in the wave of EndSars protests rocking the nation? Everything around mile one happened in my presence. And from what I saw, area boys and criminals around Emenike bus stop, including Iceland and Dey Bam cult groups were the guys wreaking havoc. If it is untrue, why don't you go meet the local chiefs and Chairman and ask them if indeed they said those words. PLEASE IS OYIGBO REALLY AN IGBO TOWN IN RIVERS? “We need to be careful of the remnants of IPOB terrorists. We thank Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for imposing the curfew which has calmed down the situation in Oyigbo.” Also,High Chief, Lisbery Onyegorom, narrated that indigenes of Oyigbo were still in shock following the wanton destruction unleashed on their community by members of the outlawed IPOB. He said: “We were surprised by the level of destruction by the IPOB. We are Rivers State and Niger Delta people. Our people are not members of IPOB . I am not aware of any Oyigbo indigene who is a member. We don’t allow that. “Now, that the IPOB members have killed some soldiers, all of them have run away. The Army is investigating and fishing them out . Most of the IPOB members arrested have given vital information about the remnants. “We are in support of the Governor’s ban on IPOB activities across Rivers State and hoisting of IPOB Flag.” 9 Likes 2 Shares |

EastisBae: Rightly asking the Army to stop extrajudicial killings is not the same as asking them to remain to keep the peace and ensure the ipob terrorists do not return to terrorise their innocent people. Momodu must have thought ipob were harmless agitators but thank goodness he heard the truth from the horses mouth. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

omenka: Giddy is just an amateur propagandist. In his little mind, even the meeting between the council of high chiefs and the LG chairman where they laid down their complaints never happened and we are supposed to take his lies over the words of the whole Ogbakor Oyigbo. “On 12th of November, 2020 we met with the Local Government Chairman, Gerald Aforji, informing him of our plight. We don’t want Army to be withdrawn for the benefit of Oyigbo people. Oyigbo people have rejected the cancer called ipob. 10 Likes 5 Shares |

QuotaSystem: Do you have any evidence that such meeting was held besides the stupid write up of that well known fake news website called nationonline? Isnt it strange that some Chiefs of Obigbo held a meeting but it is a Yoruba website that is reporting it? They even changed the story from the one the wrote yesterday claiming that Dele Momodu met with the Chiefs https://www.nairaland.com/6269279/chiefs-oyigbo-plead-army-not They had to change the story because Dele Momodu has released the video of his trip to Obigbo and he met no Chiefs on that visit 6 Likes |

gidgiddy: What are you saying? Save your juvenile antics for gullible ipob cretins. This is from your link : A high chief, Eze Ukwu III, Louis Okorie, told Momodu and his delegation that the community chiefs do not approve the withdrawal of soldiers from Oyigbo. He expressed serious concern that if soldiers are withdrawn from Oyigbo, IPOB anarchists would unleash violence in the area. There is no difference from the Nations report.
