Yes and these are the reasons;

1.) Because it's a festive season, people are always in merry mood from one party or celebration to another, causing them to overspeed out of excitement.

2.) Because it's end of the year season, a lot of people tend to travel more to see friends and family members, a lot travel to see their loved ones and a lot of buying and selling takes place, causing increased road usage, hence more possibilities of accidents

Many car owners that have not travelled long distance tend to travel that time and the consequences is accidents.

Commercial drivers also hurry to do round trip because of increased number of travellers. They deprive themselves of adequate sleep. The consequence is accident.

It's simply because most travellers aren't used to long distances. You're not an expert in calculating well before overtaking a vehicle on express, yet you are forming James Bond , tell me why an accident won't occur .

Yes, I have been on our road long enough to know.

You know the ember months is the period many people tends to go on vacation, and at the same time business people also love to travel that period to stock up for Christmas sales. As a result our roads tend to be very busy.

The worse part of it is that, just because there is so much passengers and luggage, transporters tend to overload and also tend to drive faster to meet up in taking more passengers.

On the other hand, workers who has not traveled for a long time, because of the holiday will now bring out their cars which has not been driven for a long distance and start traveling with it, and when faced with the bad road and the pressure of going on a high speed most parts of the car will begin to give way. Mostly expired tyres can blow up and cause accident

For few days that police weren’t on the road,their are not much Accident,now that they are back on the road accident will begin but God will always spear us all.
