In as much as our leaders are very corrupt, we have been made to examine and judge the situation of our country one-sidedly.
Corruption is a two way thing. If Nigerians leaders are corrupt then UK leaders(Western leaders) are also corrupt for continuing to collect loots decades after decades from the so called "third world" countries of people living below poverty line.
All these buildings and roads are built and maintained from exploiting the resources across Africa, if not how did these countries look like before interactions with Africans and the colonisation of Africa?
Nigerian leaders don't act indepently if they do why do the so called advanced and civilised people that preach human right, good governance, NGO, sustainable development continue to open their doors to the corrupt leaders from the "underdeveloped" country? Won't that seem contrary to what they preach?

Until we realize that our undevelopment is not only due to bad leadership and that we need to find it root cause and profer indigenous solutions, we will keep comparing.
Only Nigeria and Africa were colonised? Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc Even the US were once British colony. Please there's something wrong with the black man

We don't have these kind of streets in nigeria because we are not ready to pay the kind of taxes that would fund and maintain those kind of streets.

In the UK, if you are living in the city, you pay council tax which ranges from 60000 to 100000 naira monthly depending on the city. That money goes into making the cities look nice

That's why uk cities have great streets.

If we charged that kind of tax in Nigeria, Nigerians would scream.

So we pay scanty taxes and get scanty and bad roads

The bad roads we have in Nigeria are what we can afford. The sad thing is that looting still happens on top
hahaha. Is this sarcasm or you're just Plain stupid

All those countries are in white supremacy and white privilege, they are the same Europeans and white people that migrated there.
Mention a country dominated and controlled by the black man that is developed.

So when you get into politics would you be willing to charge heavy taxes to pay for the good roads you want?

Our budget for thos year is 26 billion dollars. South africa spent 23 billion dollars on education alone last year.

London's budget is 2 billion dollars this year.Lagos budget is 3 milllion dollars. ( for the state not the town)

Our oil revenue is not enough to feed everyone for a month self.

How do you raise the money.?
you no just wise at all. Jesus

even generation to come self will not see such in Nigeria

As much as I hate to admit this, it could perhaps turns out to be true at the end

That's why I am trying my best to at least not just my generation, but the whole black Race can enjoy this kind of world class Infrastructure in Africa before they die!!

Unlike a typical black man who thinks about himself and his family alone, I'm quite different, I think about the black Race entirely

There are more beautiful high structures in Singapore than this.
And our government is killing us with different taxes with no tangible thing to show for it.

Did anyone stop the black man from using the resources we have to develop ourselves, We are just using racist excuse to be perpetually backward. Are you not aware of the wars and disasters that has happened in some of those developed countries and they were still able to pick themselves up even with greater innovations

Research about African true history before slavery and colonisation and after, you will see what went between the black man and the white man and why the black man is at this level today and also to understand why you are thinking the way you think.

This is why you all should clamour for Restructuring, a Regional Government.

In REGIONAL GOVERNMENT, there will be competition among regions where in turn we'll have Nigeria of our dream.

Nothing aside this, we shouldn't expect this kinda street in decades

I was with my uncle driving on a federal highway last year when he just stopped the car for a brief moment and told me, " We are so backward, this place is just a farmland." He then continued driving in silence. That is somebody who constantly travels the world.
Those words and the serious look on his face when he said those words have stuck in my head.

Once the time comes, I go japa. Make my next generation get a chance at normal life, how normal human beings are supposed to live.
