Another case of extrajudicial killing has been reported in Ekiti, where a Nigerian Police Personnel has shot two citizens, leaving one dead and another critically injured.

An eye-witness, Teejay (@TunjiAde_) reported the incident via micro-blogging site, twitter.

Some of us were inside the bar watching football. Some guys don't bother entering, they just stay outside to drink (you'll see that from where that guy is). So, the policemen drove in, it was normal for a car to drive in! We just heard gunshot, we were running away already before.

We realised it was the policemen attached to one man (seems it's the owner of the hotel, 'Queens court hotel'). We thought everything was fine, then we realised the bullet hit that guy by the side of the stomach and one man on the leg.

One man was just complaining that the policemen have been warned severally to stop shooting to announce their presence when they enter the hotel. Seems it's the practice of the policemen to shoot when they enter just to flex their muscles. The policemen we're only trigger happy, they just felt like shooting bruh

The incident happened at Queen's Court Hotel area, along Ikere-Ekiti Road, Ekiti State.

In as much as must say this is bad, I think this report is inconclusive.

After all that's happened recently, no security agent would just shoot at innocent and unarmed men; just to announce their presence. angry

RIP TO THE DEAD THOUGH

They weren't shot at directly, according to the eyewitness and video (don't know how to attach them).

Probably to register their "Presence" like they do often...."stray-bullet".

These guys no dey hear word, when there is reprisal attack, they will start wailing.

Shooting to announce your presence and ended up killing someone. I think guns should be taken away from police men, they should go back to the use of batons

The Punch Newspaper of October 22, 2020 reported that IGP Mohammed Adamu has ordered the withdrawal of all police officers attached to Very Important Persons across the country, with immediate effect.

Today is November 22, 2020 making it exactly one month since the announcement was made.

Who one earth was that one man who went around with a police escort

We are yet to recover from the story of the Newspaper vendor who died from the bullets of a police officer attached to the Speaker of the House of Reps.
