Fault is either from screen or motherboard, but most times it is always from motherboard.

Bit of background, there's an old macbook pro on it's last leg full of data 200GB+, not booting up as usual and when it does it's forever spinning

Took the mac to the shops for a fix and data recovery but they will not fix as it's over 4years old so paid for data recovery plus a 1TB Toshiba

Came back after 2 weeks, connected the Toshiba to my laptop make the usual chime but nothing is showing up

Try it in another pc first , my brother experience same thing , d external drive was visible iny pc but not in his , I will research the solution and post , pray I get it again

Try this , from the pix u post in disk management the external drive don't have any name assigned to it , so right click on it and select change name , apply another name and check again .

Unfortunately I only have access to the mac and windows, my work laptop wouldn't accept external drives

Will take it back to the shop

Good afternoon all, I have this small white dot on my laptop screen that just appeared all of a sudden..

It doesn't at all hinder the performance of the screen but I just want to know if there's a way to get it off (without having to change the entire screen), cos sometimes it can be so uncomfortable to look at especially when the screen is white..

Was informed it's been backed up, but as it's mac formatted it won't show on windows laptop except with a software or linux

Will check it on another Mac or download hfbs*

Boot into bios setup, check battery information, adapter type if it is recognising the charger watt.

My window 10, automatic install some update on my laptop. Ever since, when am working, I just notice the window display LOCKING then hibernate instantly.

please my HP elite book has been giving me issue like

if I power it on, it ll start alongside with the fan immediately, but the screen won't show anything,

if I tried to power it off manually(as expected) it ll off then restart itself after 5seconds. until I remove the battery...


this fault originally started wen I wanted to charge it (it was down completely). the charging light kept turning on and off, removed the charger, pluged it back but same issue with the on and off charging light,now the bat3 is drained, since then the screen stopped showing anything, and if I power it on it ll start and refuse to off until I remove the battery..

took it to engineer he tried washing the board but still same problem.. he is currently suggesting It could b d display IC, like I'm kinda confused..
