Hi young ladies in the house. Please this is to alert you guys on how people are being robbed these days.

My choir member ( a young girl) was robbed few days ago by a potential client. She's into catering and does breakfast for companies on request as well.

This lady met a guy sometime last month or thereabout and they exchanged contact. The guy was always calling her but she would tell him she's busy due to the nature of her biz. So, this prompted the guy to ask what she's into and she told him. Fast forward to a week ago, the guy said he wants her to cater for his staff breakfast at the office and asked for a quotation. She couldn't do the draft and send via WhatsApp as usual because the contract was a huge one. So they agreed to meet one on one to discuss better.

The D day came and she told the guy she would be coming with a friend, he said it was fine. She later got another of her friend to join them making them three girls. So they set out in an Uber. When they got to where the guys were ( Onikan police station in ikoyi) they alighted from the taxify and entered the guys car. Immediately they drove past the station, she said they put the car on child lock. She said it dawned on her immediately that they had entered one chance.

The guys were three in number. The guy immediately changed his tone and began to collect their stuff. He collected iphone, her friends iPhone and Android, their purses with cash in it, chains and even asked if she has an iPod. when she tried to ask what she did, the guy slapped her across the face.

They collected her friends' ATM card and requested for the pin. They said one of them would go and withdraw the money and if they find out the pin is not correct, they'll shoot them all. After she gave them the pin, they changed their mind and decided to drop them at dolphin estate obalende and sped off. She said by the time they could reach customer care line of her friends bank, she was told 5 withdrawals of 10k has been made. They emptied her account.

As I type this, I'm still shocked for her. Imagine robbery in broad daylight. Though it was on a Sunday and ikoyi is always deserted on Sundays that was why they were able to carry out their evil without fear.

Please be careful how and where you meet people. Some will pose as client. Just be careful. Not every one who claims to be a client is actually one.

I'm still shocked.

When you decide to hustle legally, some mad elements will sha frustrate you.. So they took everything with her sweat, efforts and money.. Imagine the stress she would have gone through because she thought her hustle was about to pay off.

It was not his house. They agreed he'll drive them to where they'll discuss the deal. Though I asked her why she even agreed to enter a stranger's car and not both arrive in their different cars to meet at an open place. She said she's known the guy for sometime and they've been chatting for weeks to months that was why she felt relaxed.

They didn't go to a guy's house. The guy picked them from the front of a police station after the girls alighted from an Uber. They entered the car of the guy, two other guys were inside the car.

The robbery took place in the car.

Madam I read right! What's the difference between meeting a guy at his place and letting him drive you to the meeting place? undecided she could have as well asked him to come pick her at her place na.

When a deal seems too good to be true or the client sounds too desperate, simply be careful.
Also, sometimes state your conditions. Simply saying she doesn't want to get into the guy's car would have saved her a lot.
A friend told me he got a CCTV offer in Ikorodu. Once he realized the so-called location where he was to meet the client was far away from the garage and the road to that place was untarred, that is how my guy told the client that if he doesn't come down to a fast-food around there to discuss the business, he is not interested. That was it. Their line was switched off hours later.

My advice for people who meet online, most especially girls, if you want to meet him, either he comes to ur place or you meet and discuss in public places.

One cannot meet a complete stranger and put all trust in him/her.

2. When you meet people online, be reluctant and caution enough to disclose ur personal issue with him.
( a friendly intention may change to evil one if he realises you are loaded)

Even persons that we know for long time turn out to be cunning and wicked not to talk of strangers.

If Nigeria isn’t the most useless country in the world, tell us which is when the bank can trace the culprit from their face cctv camera when the withdrawals was made to the home address linked with the bank account used, although it might be a stolen bank account of someone innocent. If you dont agree they can catch the culprit, imagine if it this happened to a daighter of any of the sadists maggots in state and federal government, your guess is as good as mine. #EndNigeria

No matter how you alert people, criminals will continue to come up with tricky ways to do their evil. A corrupt and broken system make criminality to thrive. What is the primary purpose of having a police if their presence can’t deter crimes from occurring, bit it’s increasing as the administration tightens everywhere with more and more hardship imposing policies as corruption reigns. Solution #EndNigeria

It's so unfortunate. Though she said it was the friends money and the fact that they are Igbos that saved them because the men Started speaking in igbo language at some point among themselves. When the girls heard "kill" they responded In Igbo and the men were shocked and kinda soft peddaled. Though this girl is Edo. So, they now faced the two friends and talked spoke in Igbo language with them throughout. Imagine if they didn't accompany her. I guess they were planning to kill her. In all I told her it was God who saved them because robbers don't know tribesmen.

According to ur illustrations, he called her purposely for her catering services, so where were they driving to? Must caterers see venue before cooking ? You see 48 of 50 Nigerians are dishonest one need to be extraordinary careful when dealing with people most especially strangers.

The sister fell because of "unwarranted trust" and "cheap way" guys used to get ladies by dangling cash on their sight.

Am sure when she saw the guy with expensive car she would have been thinking the amount of profit she would cash on him.
