My few experiences in my 1 month driving with only Uber.

1. I ride on my way to the office (Lekki to VI), going back home and then weekends. I have done 128 trips (Trips request: 303, Declined: 78, Cancelled: 16)
2. I am currently on 4.81 rating ( 5 Star: 65, 4 Star: 4, 3 Star: 1, 1 Star: 2 (No Nose Mask))
3. Total net earnings: 130,524 (Including fuel)
4. Got a tip of $30 (#14,250) from a rider rushing to the international airport
5. Still struggling to get #4,900 from a woman I also took to the airport but with issues on bank transfer (Jaiz to Zenith)
6. Met different kinds of people, mostly normal. The rides are usually silent with only radio as I do not talk much.
7. I am already developing lower back pain and my odometer reading is just rising at astronomical rate.

How would you rate my 1 month report?

You need to buy matches, 359 degree can not make a complete circle, 60/100 so far

That's what capitalism is all about... they increase the price, reduce the quality and inbtw feel like they r doing u a favour, because u may never b able to function at the actual price

Irrespective of the price, 25L should be 25L. It also depends on the residual volume in your tank b4 buying.
If the above is constant, then you need to try out another fuel station.

I am not certain I understand the matches and 359 degree part.

60/100, where do I need to improve? At least, I would ensure I have masks on all the time now.

Get either a 2003-2006 Camry of 4 plugs or you get a Corrola of between 2004-2007. There parts are very cheap at Ladipo and First gate Agidingbi. Even a roadside vulcanizer knows one or two about the cars above and you can never be stranded along the road.

Forget Elantra (Expensive parts) and forget that very useless plastic car called Honda civic. Infact for your sanity, avoid all HONDAS.

If you are getting a corrolla, make sure you stay in a gated house, install a car tracker and also install an alarm. Also get a comprehensive insurance. Above all, pray to God.

My Reason for these 2 Cars? Both are cheap to maintain, Corrolla is very great in fuel economy and the 2 cars rugged die.

Finally, make sure any car you are buying have all their Catalysts intact. Mechanics and Panel beaters steal it well well.

Radautoworks and Gazzuzz knows better.
Thanks bro am very grateful

If one is not smart mechanics will send one back to the village, this is what I have learnt over the course of doing ride share and dealing with countless mechanics.
Some mechanic tricks drivers and car owner need to be aware and prepare for.

Be careful with that pain, watch ur driving posture and when you are not driving try to stand and stretch outside the rather than sitting in the car.
you mean u only do two trips to & fro your office on weekday and weekends to net 130k?

Thanks for the feedback.

I do max of 2 trips (seldom 2, most times 1) in the morning as I resume 8 am. And I do max of 4 to 5 in the evening, sometimes just 1 or 2 sef, but I do longer rides on weekends and I got about 11k or more in bonuses. The 138k is before fuel o, after fuel, e fit no pass 80 or 90k.

There are plenty of good gear master in ladipo, you will find them, where they are selling gear parts.

Don't go to those roadside mechanics in ladipo, they're horrible.

One of my car experience similar issue and it was fix perfectly.

You are doing well for starters... With time, you will have a grasp of how traffic situation works and how to exploit it.

Back pain? Watch your diet, don't sit too long at a spot,.

Only Uber? Try the Bolt app, you will get a better bang for your buck on Bolt especially weekdays. ( specific destination trips.).

Cheers!

At number 7, dont be a lazy driver. Why should you have a back pain? #jokes

Not a very bad one but you can still do better. If you consider fuel, your net income might be around 100k for the month or there about. Hope the car is yours?

That's BTW, why didnt you register with bilt also? There might be some areas where bolt will come in handy. I once waited for about 30mins with uber at Unilag and no request came in. This was before covid oo.

Sorry for your back pain, hope your legs arent aching and vibrating during sleep? Mine did in my early days

Take care of yourself, dont joke with back pain. Good luck
