How can I get the LOI ?
Is there something (Webform/mail) I need to send to get it or wait for IRCC to send it to me

Thanks

You should hear from them before the end of today. If you don't get it by the end of tomorrow, send a mail to the Abuja IRCC office (abuja@international.gc.ca).

Good question that I have also been asking my own bosses. Mine is end of December 2023 - that's essentially a 3 years visa since my course starts in January 2021. My expected grad date is March 2024 and passport is valid till 2030.

However, I know someone who is almost in the same shoes as me but has visa expiry till 2024. So my theory is that because I have a coop component in my program, maybe that explains the difference. Perhaps, I will get a work/coop visa at the POE to cover the difference. But it doesn't matter at this point, we can renew study visa from inside Canada.

Have they started to issue passport with 10year validity. Please can I have your immigration contact spouse and brother use

Dear bleep,

Your application to study in Canada has been approved. A permit authorizing your studies will be issued to you on your arrival to Canada following an examination by an officer of the Canada Border Services Agency, subject to your compliance with the requirement blah blah...

Is this the LOI?

That's the LOI. wink cheesy. Congrats. The odds have favoured you.

Start planning to confront VFS early. I know you're not in a hurry but it's always better to have your passport at hand.

My brother the thing tire me o, I got an email from VFS today saying my passport has is at VFS abuja... the people are just mad, something I submitted to Lagos 10days ago.
NairaLuck:
Can we trend #WeNeedOurPassports on Twitter NG or #VfsReleaseOurPassports

this is becoming unbecoming o. Imagine no tracking number since, and some who have gotten both counterfoil and loi are yet to receive their passports.

Just scattering people's plans, now they'll go on scheduled break soon for the festive period. Everything moves to next year

Okay, thanks a lot
Phatkayconcept:

Is not true oooo.

You must show evidence of financial capability to sponsor your program in Canada if you want to be eligible for study permit.

You need to show
Full one year tuition + 10000cad living expenses + 3000 for others.
Source of proof of funds whether you are self sponsored or using a sponsor.

If you do the maths, 5m or 7m may not be enough.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Adamsmith99: 10:39am On Dec 01, 2020
Good morning my beautiful people, it is so sad that in this hardship period, a very heartless company called Big Moon travel and tours scammed me with some #74,500 just for Visa fee alone. I have his voice recorded and the payment of the receipt of the receipts. His name is Mr Adebayo

The lady I spoke to said it'll be dispatched between today and tomorrow and I'll get it by Thursday or Friday (depending on my location).
I don't trust their words so I'll bug them again tomorrow if I don't get any update.

For those of us that have crossed to BVL, PPR and co levels, let's not forget the newbies in the house. I can see that we are not helping them enough with their requests.
Please let's continue to support them so they can progress to our stage too.

As for the newbies here, before you ask any question, I will advise that you take the time out to read the thread from the very first page, you'd see that before you even get to this page, you'll notice that you already have the answers to most of your questions.

Cheers!
