Hello Lexusgs430, I am back to say thank you for assisting me with the house search in the Kent area even though I couldn't land any. I eventually got somewhere in Hayes, they were willing to take 6months rent ahead of the Tenancy. Settling in the UK on a Sole Representative Visa for a Nigerian Company has been so tough but all is fine now. I wish I registered on the electoral register as a student during my master.

Thank you Thank you Thank you

That time, the exact reason you did not register was........ You put UK sand for your right hand, had very high hopes for Nigeria, clearly stating.........

UK had nothing to offer........ Now that rejected stone....... grin

Lol Oga stop arguing. Even if you are buying a land from your father, you are required to do your due diligence because situations change very quickly. Even if the king assures you that the land belongs to him you still need to go to the land registry and make findings. Trace the origin of the land and any contrary claims on it. After buying it you also register your purchase at the registry. Now your father has contacted a lawyer to sue the king. This could have been avoided if he had engaged a lawyer initially or atleast made the process easier for your father. The lawyer would have taken steps to make it difficult for another person to buy the land without losing their money. Now that money wey una no wan give lawyer una go give am x10.

Lol I actually get offended when someone that doesn’t know that Aphrodite is the name of a “goddess” wants to argue with me. Even if you didn’t know, can’t you see the “f” beside my moniker?

I don’t argue with people with aren’t up to par with my intelligence. Please shift. Worse still, you even had the audacity to type epistle, for who to read? Abeg!

Kent and Hayes are miles apart...... but if you are working perhaps near Heathrow then hayes is much better. Nothing beats living close to home from work . Hayes has a high indian population and with them money is king so not surprised to see 6 months upfront to settle the matter...lol

But welcome to West London and happy settling down

Different strokes for different folks. Some use it because it gets them easily set up upon getting to the UK, some because of the inbuilt transfer function to international accounts while others use it solely for online transactions or 3rd party payments as they wouldn't want to use their regular bank accounts in order to prevent their banking info from getting into the wrong hands.
Many people also don't do much offline cash transactions so it's not really a problem to them.

In that case, I think this would fly for what I Wang to use it for. I just got here and I haven't been able to open a regular bank account with HSBC (thinking of using this bank). However, I need a sharp account to recover some funds which I used in posting items to about 6people on my arrival here. Adding up those little pounds for that number people requires recovery abeg. Thank you so much

Hello
Rubbish is when you don’t appear to understand that someone can have different bank accounts with different banks for different purposes, although the person is a LEGAL immigrant in the UK.
Rubbish is when someone is so naive to the point of thinking that the use of challenger banks is for illegal immigrants.

If you want to see rubbish, go back and read your assertion on why someone would use a challenger bank if such person is not illegal.
That, my friend is rubbish.

E dey pain you say we no be illegal and we dey use challenger bank?
Go rest, Oga Methuselah.

so in 6 months, I can only deposit £1k cash which means in one whole month you can only receive something like £155 cash in a month really? if you are legal in the Uk why would one wanna subject themselves to that? and u cant pay more than £10k a day wiv ur debit card and cant cash out more than £5500 in a month nahhhh

I am quoting this again, for you to see.
See that bolded part?

That is pure Rubbish.

I will keep drumming it into your “600-years-in-the-UK” ear until you understand.

Use of challenger banks is NOT equal to illegal immigrant.

Someone uses Monzo, and you use C. Hoare & Co. or you use Monte dei Paschi di Siena or even Barclays or RBS. That does not in any shape or form imply that you are legal, and such person is an illegal migrant.

Let me help you.
Challenger bank refers to banks that are only often used by people who are not legal in the UK (Erico2k2, 2020)
Like Starling and Monzo and Pockit etc...

As per my education, well, I am proud of my ketu education. You that got the whatever education, where e don carry u reach?

Different views always have conclusions. Different views don't include insults or rubbish another view.

Different views don't always have to go off point.
